ASUS has really stepped up their product line and have distinguished themselves as the best in the business. I have this router for a couple months now and had never had to restart it since I bought it. The router also provides guest network and you can hook up an external HD for backup purposes. I was debating between this router and the airport express by apple and I am happy with my decision.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ROUTER TO ANYONE. FAST SPEED AND DISTANCE IS INCREDIBLE.

Easy enough to set up. Couldn't find the 5ghz, googled why only to realize our newer pc's and newer phones aren't compatible, but my 6yo laptop is compatible. I don't understand, but whatever. Obviously I'm a noob when it comes to technical stuff. This router has great range though and doesn't drop the signal.

Easy setup and no issues! Run desktop, two tablets and Smart TV with no problems.

Set this router up in less then 10 minutes, upgrading routers more than doubled my coverage and speed, Would definitely recommend this router, covers my entire 3200 Sq/Ft house and outside living areas

I was skeptical when I was told that this router would eliminate my repeaters since my old router did not allow the signal to penetrate my tin ceilings and the construction of my 1890 house. However, it does so very well, and I have been able to disconnect my repeaters and signal boosters. I am very impressed.

I went into Best Buy after havin slot of issues with my router. The gentleman that helped me asked about my needs and what I was using the Internet for. After telling him that I played Xbox, streamed Netflix and Hulu and did school work he suggest this. It's easily the best decision I've made for my internet. I now get the speeds that I should and have no issue with buffering.

I needed to update my WiFi for better speed and range. After research and price comparison I selected this ASUS model. It was easy to install.

best router you can get for a home network. Easy to set up. Clear simple menus for devices settings and updating. Great for casual users and those who need to customize everything. Super powerful. Currently have 4 devices hard wired, and 2 smart phones, 2 chromecast, a tablet and a blu Ray player all on the wifi. No lag, stream wirelessly in HD. All you will need and more in a router.

Experts say to locate the router in the center of the wifi zone at a high point but, sometimes this is very difficult. I placed it at the farthest room and signal at living room is awesome. It is expensive, yes, but it will last few years because it is ready for today's technology in home computing. Signal is strong and consistent. The 5ghz band is great, no collisions or noise compared to the 2.4ghz (I catch 26 of those near my apartment!)

I was recommended this item at a Best Buy store. Anything better than the one we were using because that was a 10 year old router. It was easy to set up and the change was immediate but I would say it's got A LITTLE faster, not SUPER faster . But overall it's ok because we are not tech savvy.Don't know much about difference. We've got 3 cell phones, wireless bru-ray player for Netflix, 3 laptops and PS4. And working fine.

If looking for a better signal, compact, user friendly, and good price u will not go wrong with this purchase. Price is good for what u get.
