I Live in an old farmhouse and every wireless router I had before just did not get through the old lathe and plaster walls. This one does! We get wireless in all corners of the house, including the basement, upstairs and even parts of the yard. On top of that we can stream 3+ different devices with no lag or loading issues. LOVE this router!

I was in the market for a new router to replace my old Belkin that seemed to be dropping signal all the time (multiple times a month). I had a hard time deciding between this one and the Nighthawk but in the end decided to just get the ASUS. I've had it for about 2 months now and it has been solid for me so far with no dropped signal yet. This thing is leaps and bounds better than my Belkin and couldn't be happier with my decision.

This is the best router I've ever owned. Speed is triple what I had before and the lags I had using Netflix are pretty much gone. My wife and I have a couple of phones, two laptops, the TV, a couple of tablets, going most of the time when we're home with no problems with connections. I also bought the Asus ac adapter to use on my laptop and it is nothing less than awesome with phenomenal processing speed. Love these Asus products.

Installed at a customer house in Southwest Florida. Tons of connected devices (2 rokus, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones, iMac) for the permanent residents, then 2-3 X as many connected devices when kids come to visit. Easy to setup, taking advantage of dual band frequencies. No troubles since install.

Need a new router when my 2nd WAP died. Went with this AC router, set it up with a older Asus 66 as a wireless extender/WAP. Setup is easy and it has a good set of tools. Plenty of options and tweak capability for us more experienced hands, but out of the box way for newbies. Range is much better than older non AC. I highly recommend this router, especially if you have lots of devices connecting.

Great range and reception strength through out the house! Had a Linksys with the similar specs that would lose signal strength just going another room. Couldn't make the Linksys work like it should no matter where I placed it in the house! I was going to buy a booster but they suggested the ASUS instead. Glad I did get it! Signal strength is good though out the house and the wife is off my back!

I replaced an older linksys router and so far it's been great. The range is amazing and the speed is excellent. The documentation needs some work- still a little unclear exactly how to share a usb attached drive and the support for MACs for attached drives isn't great but I don't plan to use that function so it's not a big deal to me. Port forwarding works well. Overall a great performing router.

We had a modem router combo provided by our service provider and we're constantly having to do a hard reset because it would drop our internet. I finally was fed up enough and went and spend some real $$ to get a nice router and a separate nice modem. No more dropped Internet. Faster is alway better too!!

I went into a Best Buy store to buy a wifi booster. An associate asked me questions about my home and my usage. He recommended this router instead since he felt that a wifi booster would only put a bandaid on my issue. He was right! My signal has never been as strong or as fast. Couldn't be happier.

I had a really OLLLLLDDD router and was in the market for something new. I did the research and reached out to a Best Buy team member whom assited me in getting the router that works best for my needs. I am very happy with this purchase and needless to say that everything runs smoothly and quick! The piece its self is a tad pricey but I think in the end it pays off!!

great router which is fast, easy to set up and has a great signal.

A fantastic router that beat our long time product preference of linksys. This router has little competition in terms of range, speed throughput and ease of setup. While not all devices in the house can recognize a 5ghz frequency and even though not many devices are AC ready, this router delivers on all cylinders all day throughout our entire 1800 house.

Set up is simple. Strong reliable signal. Extremely fast.

I spent a lot of time reviewing routers before choosing one, online at Bestbuy.com and other sites. I also talked to a BestBuy Associate in the store, who confirmed my own research about the Asus - Wireless AC1900 Dual-Band Gigabit Wireless Router. I took my router home, read the instructions, did the set-up procedure, as well as the firmware update. Then after a few minutes, the router just stopped. I couldn't even access the router via its IP address and got a weird error message about the settings being updated. I reset the router, and it worked again. An hour later, the same thing happened again. There is a little card in the box saying to call Asus if there are any problems with setting up the router, so I called them. After being on hold for 20 minutes, they hung up on me. So, I just reset the router. This time it ran for a day and a half before locking up on me. I took it back to my local BestBuy store, and they were happy to give me a replacement. Setting up the new router went very smoothly, since I already had practice. Even the firmware update went smoothly.. And this router hasn't had any problems at all. All of our wireless devices have noticeably faster Internet connections. THIS router works exactly like I expected the first one to. If I had gotten this router the first time, this would have been a 5 star review. Asus Customer support gets 1 star, while the folks at my local BestBuy get 5 stars.

I bought this as a replacement to an old Linsksys router. The specs are very good, the setup was easy. I haven't had it long enough to really do much stress testing of it in terms of video streaming but all seems to be good. The dual band feature is also nice to have.

Fast speeds, easy to setup, and many extra features.

I recently needed to buy a router when my Airport stopped working. After checking out many different wireless routers I decided on this one. Setup was super easy, coverage is amazing. I've had the product going on 6 months with no regrets at all. Very pleased
