Asus ZenFone Live is a good average phone for starter, or for secondary phone. If you want a main phone, I would get a better phone. Everything about this phone is Ok, not great, just good especially price wise.

Excellent budget phone. Dual sim is an added bonus.
It runs a toned down version of Android so you may not experience the full capabilities. It holds a charge for days.

I'd like to start by addressing the SIM card boot issue. The phone has an issue where it will force shut down if it connects to 4G or LTE. As the phome default connects to 4G or LTE, this means you won't even make it through set up with a SIM inserted. To fix the issue, set up the phone without the SIM card inserted. Once you can reach the home page, go to settings. Go to mobile networks and look for "Preferred Network: 2G/3G/4G". With this screen open and the device on, insert the SIM card. As soon as you can switch your network, click it and choose "2G/3G" from the menu before the phoke shuts down again. From here, the device will function as normal.
This device has a decent processor, an ok camera, and good battery life. With Android GO edition, the device's 16GB of storage and 1GB RAM seems like a lot. The phone has Android 8 Go Edition and seems to get monthly security updates. If you're willing to go through the painful SIM setup process, I'd say it's a fine budget phone.

Dear SeaboundAvian,
I certainly understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused you. All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections. This is a random problem. Due to the phone is an unlocked phone, please verify if the SIM card is working properly. I recommend that you contact your wireless carrier in order to test the slot and try another known good SIM card. If this was already done, I recommend that you send the unit in for service. ASUS provides warranty coverage in order to fix or repair any products that stop working prematurely under normal usage. If you need more information or further assistance with the device, please speak to an ASUS live support agent 24/7 at http://bit.ly/AsusLiveChat or contact me at [email protected]. I would be more than happy to help you.

I bought this for my mom that needed a new phone asap. She's not very tech savvy but likes the phone. I've noticed that she's had some calls that don't go through, or she stops talking abruptly and then her phone rings like the calls drop. What are the chances it's everyone else's phones. Time to check the warranty.

Phone itself its light and a good size. It is very responsive and big enough to get you going. Since it is an android phone, you know you could do many things that an iPhone can't. It come with some decent quality headset. The colors are vivid so you can enjoy your movies :) or videos. Camera quality is great and the camera itself has quite some perks to it ... good phone overall

The best thing about this phone is the camera. It is perfect for just a phone but problems getting signals everywhere. Last phone with exact same ATT service picked up everywhere. Also some features missing, such as number of emails received (badges) doesn't work. Would not recommend.

Price is alright, of course no phone is worth as much as it's sold for, for some reason it's a fact of production. Glad I could find a nice phone that's priced less than my vehicle. But seriously it's the South stop the price inflations. It's senseless.
