This was a clearance item offered at a really good price, so I decided give it a chance. But Best Buy shouldn't not have done that.

This is something I did not experience with my previous Eero mesh router. The speeds are noticeably better, so time will tell if I can correct the dropping issues.

Asus just pushed out an update that seems to have bricked one of the nodes and I’m just deciding to not deal with it. Much better options for cheaper or same price in my opinion.

Time Machine worked on one of two devices for a week and has now failed as on the other device. It took considerable effort to get that far -- finding out how to make it work from other than the ASUS instructions and then time for several disk reformats and initial backups. Buy this as a router only.
