Worst excuse for Internet i have ever had. Every time i try to use it i have to end up calling customer service because it does not show up as an option for connecting to Internet. I will not be wasting any more $ buying anymore time for this garbage. Only gave it one star because "none" was not an option.

Worked fine then a month later stopped working. Spent over 3 hours trouble shooting with customer service reps, even received a replacement SIM card but no luck. Now I have to go through warranty to get money back.

The data disappears extremely quickly. It cost $75.00 for 8 GB that were gone with a total of 7 hours usage which did not include a single video.

Wouldn't do what I bought it for. Was going to cost me more than the internet service I was trying to get rid of. I returned it the next day. Only got half my money back. The card I had to buy to use it wasn't usable and cost me $50. So I lost $50

Simply does not work. I realize that cell service and internet are shackle at best in the mountains. But the hotspot simply does not work. Cell phone works better as hot spot.

    Insufficient Best Buy Information

I don't have a problem with the device, it seems to work fine, other than AT&T's outrageous data costs. I DO have a problem with Best Buy's advertising of the product. They fail to mention that the unit comes with a SIM card already installed, even after listing "What's Included". Guess they forgot that part. They *SUGGEST* that you should also buy a SIM card ("Customers also purchased"). If you are considering buying this, IT COMES WITH A SIM CARD...YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY ONE. Hate it when I have to do Best Buy's job for them...one reason of many that I rarely shop them.

I was hoping that this prepaid hotspot can be unlocked as GoPhone phones. It's not unlockable by At&T.

Works on AT&T postpaid plans too!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have an AT&T postpaid family plan with 5 smartphones and two tablets. I can make hotspots with any of those, but it kills the battery so I wanted a device like this. The Best Buy associate at the store told me that this would not work on a postpaid plan and offered me a different device for $50 with 2 year contract or $200 without. I bought this instead and decided for fun to try swapping SIM cards with one of my other devices and it works! If I use it enough I'll just go get a new SIM at the AT&T store and add it to my family plan. Otherwise it is sufficient for now to just swap SIM cards with one of my tablets. This takes a micro SIM, by the way. If you have nano SIMs in your devices you would need a converter to make this work.

    Great for an infrequent user

I purchased for occasional travel as I'm not too excited about using the "free" wi-fi offered at hotels. I've received strong 4G LTE in all but one spot, but was still able to score 4G speeds in a semi-rural location. The life of the battery charge is very adequate, and it also recharges quickly (40% to 100% in less than 45 minutes). I'd have to say I'm very satisfied I made the purchase.
