did not like the canoe sides since it blocks movies that are behind it. I took them off and peeled the finish them so I could glue it on the front. much better and I can see all my movies.

i bought this shelf for DVDs and i'm still using it perfectly. Funny i'm using it now for books. Still great. Thanks

Save your money! The laminate on this product is the worst I have ever seen. It started peeling before I finished assembly. Assembly instructions are very poor and not enough pegs and screws were provided. The corners of the shelf do not fit together; there are gaps that even wood glue would not correct. Fortunately this item is going behind a door so that no one has to see it. The quality of this product is much less than a similar product I purchased at Staples years ago. Unfortunately, Best Buy was the only store that carried anything close to what I was needing. I wish I could return the product, but I doubt seriously that Best Buy would take an item that required assembly and had been removed from its original box. It I wasn't such a tightwad, I would throw this item away and not worry about the money I wasted on it. Find something else for CD storage.

I bought this on sale, so I could say that its only merit is that it was cheap. But I would never buy this at full price. NEVER. The cabinet comes packed in cheap styrofoam that began to flake as soon as I opened the box. I will never get the styrofoam pieces out of my furniture, carpet, and clothes. All of the pre-drilled holes were the wrong size (mostly too big, but some were too small), which means that the cabinet wobbles. And the stupid design with the curved bits hides several CDs in each corner, meaning that I can't fill the cabinet to capacity. No one in their right mind would ever buy this item, and as soon as I have space, I'm going to buy something better. Oh, also, the cheap "wood" finish was broken in several places. What a piece of garbage.
