not difficult to assemble if you've ever purchased any flat pack ikea product. it is what you expect of particle board furniture. we picked this unit up for additional dvd storage after we bought a smaller one from this brand. we overestimated our size needs, which is better than running out of room again. the 420 dvd size claims a bit of wall real estate as expected. no frills dvd/bluray storage, it gets them stored. if you count how many dvds you have theres probably a unit that can accommodate.

This is a great multimedia storage cabinet. It can hold a lot of dvds and it does not take up to much space if you have small room to work with and want walking space. The only issue would be how it is put together. When you put it together it creates two pieces that are stacked together so moving it can get dicey if you did not do a good job putting the two pieces together.

The price is decent if not a little high for the quality of the product. While I do like the size and division of each of the shelves, the backing is very flimsy, and definitely must be anchored to the wall as it does wobble considerably. Attaching the top and bottom halves after assembling each separately per the instructions was more of a hassle than it’s worth. Looks clean and has a good amount of space, but not without some caveats.

Looks awesome. But it does lean back so you have to put it against the wall or it comes with wall anchors. Put it together carefully though because it is fragile the boards do break easily. One of mine did.

I bought this to store CDs and DVD's in the man cave. Large item came in a small box so right there you know a lot of screws. Instructions are poorly diagrammed and explained. The wood for unit is very weak, o ciously it won't last long . Need it to last a few years to sell house. Very poor quality but for what I need I did not want to spend much money.

This shelf looks great and has plenty of space. It wasn't super easy to put together, but it wasn't the hardest project I've ever tackled either. Overall, it is great!

Purchased the DVD shelf, it was fairly simple to build, wife actually put it together. Hold over 400 DVDs and blue rays and is small enough to be out of the way

Price is good, shelf isn't fancy but works for holding a lot of movies/games. Probably a good idea to secure it to the wall-included hardware or otherwise. Wasn't hard to put together but did take a while, putting on the back surface was the worst part with as many screws you have to put in.

Overall after getting this thing together it gets the job done. Negative things I can say is when putting the top and bottom together it doesn't go together easy. It also doesn't secure properly. The top does bow or lean forward a little. Recommend to secure to the wall somehow. Great storage though.

I love these shelf units! They are not too tall, and they are very well manufactured so the shelves don't sag in the middle,

assembly was quite tedious because of the many shelf parts, and some parts were also a bit flimsy. Anchoring to wall is a must. If only the design was built to accommodate the baseboard, shelf would fit flushed to wall, but overall, does hold up to dvds on its shelves with no problems.

It looks great for starters, easy to assemble and is worth the price if you need a place to store all your disks or even toys and trinkets like myself. Only flaw is that it sways when I grab a movie from the shelves. I didn't want to drill any holes in the wall in case I decided to move the shelf to a different part of the room but I quickly fixed the problem with some inexpensive command strips.

This is the second of these that I have purchased. Unfortunately, this one is not the same quality as the one I bought a few years ago. If you don’t plan on ever moving this unit after you assemble it, it will probably be fine. I doubt it would survive being moved around, and definitely wouldn’t survive being moved to a new home. You should plan on at least two hours to assemble, and plenty of frustration with the cam locks. And there are no spare parts, so don’t lose any of the hardware. The major difference between my first unit and this one is that now the four vertical supports are no longer one long piece, but are split in the middle and joined by cam locks. This joint alone makes the shelves weaker, but to make things worse the cam lock system is badly designed. Instead of the pins being screwed into one piece and cam locks used on the other, the pins float between the two pieces and cam locks are used on both ends of the pins. You have to try to align the pins between the two cam locks while you can’t see or reach the pin. The way I did it was to hold the pins into one side with a slight turn of the cam lock, and then put the sides together and tighten both cam locks. There are eight pins and sixteen cam locks joining the top and bottom sections, and on only one or two could I get more than a quarter-turn on the cam lock. Not very secure. The cam locks themselves are cheap, lightweight metal. On more than one the shoulders stripped off when I tried to tighten the cam lock. The screws and dowels went in with no problems. The holes were aligned correctly, and drilled to the correct depth. A few of the shelves were not labeled with a letter, but it’s fairly easy to tell which is which by the screw holes. One good thing is that the back panels are screwed, instead of nailed, to the vertical supports, as well as the top and bottom cross pieces. This helps with rigidity and adds a small amount of bracing to the joint in the middle. They are also well marked to help install them in the correct orientation. Take your time to make sure the unit is square before putting the back panels on, and keep checking for square every time you put in a screw. If this step is not done correctly, you won’t be able to change it. Some of the shelves and vertical supports are attached with screws. Be sure to check for square every time you tighten one of these screws. This will make it easier to square up the entire unit when attaching the back panels.

This is only a 2 star because of how flimsy this is after it is finalized and finished being set up. I had no choice but to attach it to my wall because it leans when items are placed on it. I think the quality and build of this was horrible and the price was ridiculous to be honest. However, it does hold quite a bit and that is the only reason why I gave it a 2 star rating. There are definitely better options out there, especially for the price.

No idea why this thing has all the bad reviews it has, but I personally have to say that this is the best media storage I have ever had! The hardest part is putting it together. Instructions are all that plain, but once it's together, you have something great! Unfortunately for me, I have more movies than I though and may have to buy another one to keep everything looking the same. The way this is built, makes it almost impossible to fall apart. The shelves can come out a bit. I do recommend a drill to keep everything solid in place! Great product!

didn't know I was going to need this piece. but after unpacking.. I wasn't just one piece that would hold it all( dvd, Blu-ray video games).. and this is the one.. hold up to 600 .... was pretty easy to put together.. and I am not the best diy type of guy..lol... and for the price.. was a good buy in my opinion.

The size of the unit is great and it holds all my DVD'S and CD'S with room to add additional product as I purchase them in the future. It fits great on the wall and does not take up a lot of space. I would recommend this unit to my friend.
