Great case if you need large capacity on a budget.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This unit is not the greatest thing ever, but it is not horrible. I paid $79 out the door (I used a coupon). This thing almost holds my entire collection, I have about 500 DVD/Blu-ray movies. Assembly took about 45 minutes. I actually like the fact the movies hang off the shelf. It makes it easier to pull them off compared to other units I have owned. It seemed sturdy enough after putting it together. For those complaining about how sturdy it is, I don't know what you expect for $80. You would need to get into the $200-$300 range before you would be able to purchase anything made of solid wood. And it still would not have the capacity of this unit. As long as you make sure to follow the instructions, and make sure everything is lined up perfectly, then it will hold everything just fine. I don't see this lasting through a move, unless you move it separatelty. Keep that in mind when you purchase. For $80 it was an awesome deal, and I am very happy with the price, capacity, and appearance. Could it be sturdier...yes. However, is it were sturdier it definitely would have been much more expensive.

This can work if you have some woodworking skills.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well there weren't very many options for a cabinet that holds 400+ DVDs for under $150. There were some other, more expensive cabinets that I preferred which had better customer ratings, but all of them were online only. And for reasons unknown, none of these could be shipped to a best buy location. The only option is to have it shipped to your home and pay 40-60 dollars for shipping. That defeats the purpose for me so I settled on this Atlantic Elitel, despite the bad reviews. Assembly took about an hour and some parts of it required 2 people. Putting this together went better than I expected. There was only one holdup about halfway through the process: 2 screw holes were not drilled correctly. The screws could not be tightened, so I redrilled the holes and used some longer screws. I also damaged a screw hole myself just from lifting this thing against the wall. Very cheap product. Finally, with this thing fully assembled, it can still be flimsy, so you must be very careful with it. And you should definitely use the wall anchor kit, because if this thing fell over, you would have several holes to redrill at the least.

Horrible product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid $80 and never have I been so disappointed with the quality of something. I know now why you don't see this product in stores. Horrible quality! Cheap design, panels dont match up and it will fall over if not affixed to the wall. I strongly advise to look at another product for dvd or blue ray storage

A Great Shelf
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this shelf. I've had it a little more than a year and I'm getting ready to buy another one. This is the largest capacity media storage unit I found even remotely in my price range. It holds a ton of movies, games and cd's and it looks good doing it. The pieces feel pretty flimsy when it comes out of the box, but once it's been assembled it's a sturdy enough unit. I love that it anchors to the wall because I have a 4 year old who could easily pull a shelf down on himself. As long as you take your time and put it together carefully, I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.

Poor Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went against my good judgement and didn't listen to the reviews I read. This product had promise until I was assembling it. It's assembled in two pieces which isn't a problem except it's cheap particleboard and it breaks really easy. I thought Bestbuy would carry better quality products that reflect what kind of products they sell. This piece is cheaper than Walmart furniture. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product.

Love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was debating on buying it because of all the negative reviews. Went to about a dozen furniture stores, and other office stores and could not find anything like this. Took about 1 hr to put together. Instructions were fine. If I could put it together in 1 hr it's easy as I never can follow instructions. It was 11 short steps to assemble it. It's not real wood but its not horrible either. I really like the black & grey tone. Holds my wife's entire horror collection and all of my stuffed monsters (See pic). It's not a bookcase so it does not need to be heavy wood. Its perfect for DVDs and CDs. Sturdy when you affix it to the wall. No issues with it. For $70 it's perfect. Love it!!!!

Large and spacious storage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought this unit the yesterday, 9/25/13, and so far I love it. I had 2 of the smaller Media Towers from Atlantic that could hold about 120ish DVDs/Blu-rays each, but my collection of anime has grown to the point where they didn't cut it anymore. Pros: Decently inexpensive. A good quality cabinet will cost a couple hundred dollars. High quality ones will run over $1000. Easy to assemble. An electric drill is recommended although you could get away with a screwdriver if that's your only option. Took me about 30 minutes overall. Looks great. Nice black finish, recessed shelves, and the interwoven design on the backing give it a very nice look. Cons: Feels cheap during assembly. Once it's all put together, it's nice and stable, but I found myself worrying throughout the construction if it was going to break or fall apart. Worries unfounded! If you need a lot of storage, this unit is the way to go. It doesn't jut out far from the wall, sits 5' tall, and is about 3' wide. Originally I was going to order a more expensive model from bestbuy.com, but it was unavailable. Glad that was the case because this one is looking great.

Lacking Quality Control
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one and brought it home to put it together. The instructions aren't too bad; I was able to follow and put the DVD rack together for he most part. I had one board that was drilled off center, so when I screwed into it, it split the board. I also had a board that wasn't pre-drilled at all. I called customer service and they said they are shipping me replacements. I'm yet to fully assemble the product because of these two parts... The rack itself isn't too bad from what I have. The shelves are a little thinner than I would like. Also note that DVD's will overhang the shelf an inch or so. This isn't an issue as the DVD cases are still supported adequately.

Awful to put together
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Be prepared for a hard time putting this together. The way they they have you put the 2 pieces together in the end does not work. I had to buy wood glue which didn’t work well but after the back pieces we’re screwed on it was a bit better. Bad quality for sure.

Nice but over priced
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The package arrived and the complete unit was assembled in about 1 hour. Easy to assemble, Nice finish. Materials are a little cheap for the price. If You are handy with woodworking tools, get a 1/2" and a 1/4" sheet of ASH or oak and make it yourself for a lot less.

Great look, poor quality.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Saw this at the store for $51 and loved the look and storage capacity so I bought it immediately. Instructions aren't the greatest but I was able to build it pretty easily but once I was done I noticed the top half was leaning quite a bit so I screwed the back in and screwed it to the wall and it still leaned very bad, so I took it off the wall and it instantly fell on me. The plastic peg that connects the two pieces is just too short and can't hold the weight. I took it back right away, do not buy.

Absolute waste of time and money.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this unit knowing full well that assembly was required, etc. I have no problem with this as I have a home full of things purchased as such. Yet half way through the process, or should I say ordeal, of putting the shelving together one of the lock nuts literally shattered followed by the support frame on the side snapping in two. While laying flat on the floor. I was initially going to chalk it up to a lesson learned but my fiancé convinced me to call the place of purchase and see what might be done (she was thinking rationally and I was not! I was rather irritated...) The local Best Buy graciously took it back for a refund, pieces and all. Do NOT waste your time. I will not purchase another item from this manufacturer.

Look elsewhere
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On my quest to search for an updated look for storage, I was pleased to find this product. It wasn't until i got home and started to assmeble it is when i slowly began to regret my purchase. The assembly was quick, the look was nice but very cheaply built. The wood peices are to flimsly and after i placed all my music and movies on it. Literally the unit looked like it was going to colapse on its self or tip over. The wall anchors are a must. Even with the anchors i still would not trust the unit. The design is nice it just needs to be a little stronger before I would reccommend the unit.

Not easy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the other reviews before I purchased this for my grandson. It said a novice could put it together in 45 min. We are not novices and it took us 3 hours. It is not sturdy so we anchored it to the wall and made sure it was attached to studs. My grandson likes it because it will hold all of his dvds but if I had to do it over again I wouldn’t. I wish they had something that was a lot sturdier. It looks okay but I don’t know how long it will last.

great media storage, very compact
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.first of all this is a media storage not a bookcase. that being said, it does just what is says. I have to say I love my movies, I have over 1300 movies on 4 different formats (VHS, DVD, HD-DVD, & Blu-Ray)on 3 of theese (about to get another) and the adjustable shelves that this media storage has makes the adjust to the different sizes easy, and they give plenty of shelves (only problem i have is storing the extra shelves.) because of the sizes and material, it is a bit flimsy when first put together. However, when you put it up against the wall and add the media its more than adequite.

Great Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this product offers tons of storage and high style at a great price. There are some thin parts, but I was careful not to break any during the assembly. Once assembled, I was very pleased with the overall rigidness of the unit. I also used the included wall anchor to make sure it stayed in place. I really love the carbon fibre look back with the black sides! Very High Tech! Read the instructions and take your time putting this together. You will be rewarded with an awesome media storage unit that really looks great and holds everything. I love it!

Broken side panel :(
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really excited to put this shelf together to fit all of my CDs, DVDs, and Xbox 360 games, but unfortunately the one panel of the shelf broke. I did not get a chance to use it, I took it back and got a refund. I can tell you right now that the shelf is cheaply made so be careful when putting it together. If I were you I would look into a CD/DVD shelf that is a little bit thicker than this one.
