First thing, replace those 1 inch drywall screws with wood screws. I think the reason everyone's saying its flimsy is because the wood screws that come with the kit are really drywall screws and they dont have enough bite to strengthen the shelves. After you apply the back cardboard, itll strengthen the shelves more. Definitely attach to the wall!!!

This one is so hard to put together. I exchanged this one for the larger one that holds 500 something DVDs and it's so much easier and won't break on you

I like the look of the product, I just wish it had more storage capacity. This would be a great product for someone with a small to average size collection of DVDs and CDs. If you collection is rather large, I would recommend a different product.

Took a while to put together but does the job. Have to lean against a wall and would not recommend mounting on the wall. Good for the price paid.

No matter how simple the finished product is, it still takes me hours to make this thing haha. It is very delicate so, be careful moving it around.

Discontinued by Atlantic, no support from Best Buy

As I was assembling the stand, one of the side panels split under its own weight.
The local Best Buy refused to swap out only the panel, and I had already broken down the packaging for recycling the night before, so I could not return it.
Upon contacting Atlantic, they said this style is discontinued, and Best Buy owns all remaining units and parts. They replaced with a different, larger stand, which doesn't fit in the space I have available.
Atlantic was a pleasure to deal with by phone, but contacting them by email resulted in radio silence. I will think twice before buying furniture from Best Buy again.

Needed to upgrade my current storage because I ran out of space. This is ok. It looks ok but you should support by securing to the wall because it’s tall. I never had to do that with old units because they had a better lower support base. Not a fan of the two sections you have to bolt to get the height either. It would be better if it had 2 thicker full length supports on both end sides instead. It’s ok.

Holds a lot of movies, but be sure when you pin the back on you are exactly in the middle, otherwise the nail will go through the side and knock a chunk of particle board off...

This unit was wasn't too difficult to assemble. My husband and I did it pretty quickly. We bought it as a Christmas present, for our daughter, Felicia. She has so many movies and CD's that we thought that this would be perfect for her.

The shelving is a useful addition to my apartment, but it took two of us four hours to put it together. I may be inept, but he isn’t. We attached it to the wall without the back panel so that the wall color would show through, which looks nice. Added reason: adding the back panel involved 48 fasteners! So it became even more attractive to skip it. Fastening the unit to the wall at a corner gave it the rigidity it needed so that the back panel was unnecessary. I would only recommend to someone who likes the frustration of building this type of furniture.

This is a good shelf, but I stop short of considering it great. The only major problem is have is that fastening the backing board was difficult to do perfectly. The top piece on my shelf sticks out just slightly in a couple spots. It's a minor concern on appearance, but I worry that it might come loose at some point because of how I had to attach it. I wonder (and hope) it was maybe just a tiny flaw on my particular unit. I also find the backing board to be entirely too fragile. A bit of the corner broke off when I was assembling the unit.

The item goes together easy enough and does its job of holding CDs, DVDs, etc. Materials are marginal at best. Would recommend anchoring to a wall for stability.

I needed a new cabinet for my expanding collection of Blu-rays and console games, this was a great replacement. Holds all kinds of items included boxed PC software. Quality materials, everything fit together as it should, no missing parts or missing hardware. Stands taller than what I had, looks much more substantial and stands without any concern about shelves bowing or the cabinet tipping over. I checked out a number of cabinets online and couldn't find anything that matched the price and build. Was very pleased to find this in stock at a local BB store. You won't be disappointed.

Overall, a good looking DVD shelf with lots of capacity. However, it consists of lots of very thin shelves made of poor quality recycled wooden material (not a solid wood or even plywood). They are extremely easy to accidentally break or damage. Given that you have to use five gazillions of screws and bolts to set it up, the risk is way too high. The only well made part there is the back wall imitating carbon fiber sheet and looking pretty good.
If this shelf was made of plywood, it could be a great product. Given the price, the manufacturer could do much better.

This is a good media cabinet case. It gets the job done obviously however there are some things that I don't like. While building it, the cabinet feels cheap, fragile like its going to break in half if you're not careful. The shelves are not adjustable so there's no way to make room for taller or shorter cases. I do like how the shelves are recessed so that your blurays and videogames, etc stick out for easy acess. Overall it's an ok cabinet, could be better for the price but the next model up from this is $100 and I did not want to spend that much on a cabinet.

It took some time for me to get together by myself. I had to have help with the back. It still was hard to hold together. Once together and secured to the wall it seems solid enough to do the job.
