sales guy told me that i needed the cable to attach my zbox, but i did not need it.

I picked this toslink cable up while at bestbuy looking for a decent optical and before that I had never heard of audioquest products but after doing some research on there website and across the web I found that any of there products whether it's speaker wire, hdmi cabels, toslink cables or composite cables are some of the best products out there and some of the most expensive. If your planning on spending the $ on any of their cables I can say that your going to get the best sound or video transmission possible. All their products are made with the best metals and fiber optic available. Simple to setup and use no matter what cable you bought. Top of the Line quality on everything AudioQuest sells.

I recently purchased a new TV and this cable was recommended as a good connector. Easy to set up, provides good output, clear picture, etc, etc.

Overall quality and feel of the cable feels good. Not flimsy. Connectors feel solid and hooked up with no issues to both my TV and SpeakerCraft sound box.

Had to use this with my Samsung UHD 4K TV with HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) input. My Bose Lifestyle V20 Home Theater system's HDMI out is not ARC capable and my Panasonic blu-ray is. So I needed a digital optical output from the TV to the Bose to get Digital Dolby/DTS output from the blu-ray. Everything works as expected with no sound quality loss or distortion.

This cable did the job since the other cord was ripped out of my Bluetooth speaker

No sense in having a good audio system without the proper cable...this has worked just fine...many THANKS to the salesperson who assisted us with the right connection!

This is a great starting cable for optical coupling with newer generation of Televisions. This works well if you have a 2 way sound equipment like a soundbar, and you don't want to invest in an a/v receiver. You don't have to switch inputs to your TV. Just plug this cable out to your soundbar OR other equipment and enjoy sound from any input (Cable / Internet TV, Blu-ray etc) without the need of switching the input to the soundbar. You may not be able to control the sound volume from the soundbar using your TV Remote as the optical out is not controlled via your tv remote. Overall, a nice experience. Deducting one star because the TVs don't regulate the optical out, though this is no fault of this cable.

This Digital Audio cable delivers and handles the clearness of the Audio Wanted! It gives your system very clear Audio sound!

Does what I needed and expected it to do. But I ended up returning it as it was overkill form my needs. I ended up using RCA cables for sound since this was an inexpensive configuration.

This is an integral component to the sonos sound system. Better than the one provided with the Sonos sound bar.

So far so good with this cable. All ends are heavy duty and cable has more insulation than a stock piece.

You can really tell the difference between the cheap and this one its amazing!
