Been eyeing for some time now for a smart lock. The looks is ok. I personally think Friday's look is better. However, the $135 price is hard to resist. Then when I installed it, I was surprised on easy it works. I'm glad I got this one.

Love the way it works. I have two toddlers and this frees my hands up to get them safely in and out the door. Also, I never have to worry about the door being unlocked after I leave.

This locks works well. Sometimes though it takes time for it to connect to the app even when standing next to it. It is nice to have the door automatically unlock when you walk up to it with an arm load. It is larger than expected.

Could this lock be better? Sure. They all could. Works as I desire it too. Sometimes it loses connection and I have to pull the battery. Other than that it works as I'd like it to. You have to have the keypad to go with it. Just in case you go out without your phone. I also purchased the doorbell cam. They all work very good together. The doorbell acts as an August connect as well as a front door cam anytime I'd like. Lots of different settings to tweak. The only thing that could be better would be the auto unlocking. Id like to be able to be in my yard and come back to the door and have it unlock. It works great if I leave and come back, but it needs to be better with the gps tracking. I'd buy it again though, and actually recommended it to my dad who bought one and is very happy with it over his old Kevo lock.

I bought this after researching the product. With HomeKit on Apple products and having an Apple TV, I can now remotely let people into my home without being there. The app allows you to adjust the lock so then it auto locks on a certain amount of time. If you use Alexa you do have to buy an additional device to remotely let someone in

Love it what can you say it unlocks my door as soon as I get home I don’t have to enter no numbers on a keypad my hands are always full when I come into the house it’s perfect.

Hardware is easy to install and the download is simple too.

I've used this lock for almost two months now and have had no major issues. I have had some small issues adding and deleting users but was able to get it working after a bit. Ap is not always as intuitive as it could be but they seem to be improving it all the time. Battery life is ok. The batteries that came with it died in a couple weeks but replacement batteries seem to be holding up well...time will tell. Overall I am pleased.

We purchased this lock so we could be able to lock/unlock remotely. We have a Wink hub and read it's compatible BUT didn't realize you have to buy the lock AND the August Connect to be able to connect to it via wifi. It's also very large and doesn't look very aesthetic.

EASY FOR INSTALLATION , SET UP AND CONNECT TO HOUSE WIFE.

Works pretty well, I could leave my keys behind and still feel relatively sure that I could unlock the door with just my phone on me. I like being able to check from home that I did remember to lock my door. Also, remotely unlocking it for guests on the occasion where I'm not there to let them in. There were a few hiccups in the installation. It couldn't lock on its own at first, but I figured out I had the bracket on too tight. Then it didn't want to sync with my iPhone's Homekit ability. I had to add it through the Homekit app after adding it thru the August app. All in all I'd recommend.

This lock was very easy to install, and I did not have to replace my current lock. I also got the august doorbell so I could control the lock remotely. Unfortunately, the august doorbell does not work very well as an internet bridge to this BLE only lock. It takes way too long to bring up the video, and people can rarely hear you speak to them. That being said, if you just want a BLE enabled lock that works with Siri, this is a great option - just know that you need the august connect or august doorbell cam to get it internet connected - hence only 4 stars. If it had it;s own wifi built in, I'd give it 5 starts. Based on my experience with the doorbell cam, I may get the august connect and try that instead of the doorbell cam for internet connectivity.

Had this August about a month now, loving it and make life much more easier. I live in a 2 stories house and my room is all the way to the back of the house, every time we had friend or family come over I alway make a long trip to the door but now with August save me lot of time to clean up be4 anyone come in house. Btw I also had ring door bell so every time someone at the door I alway know who to open for.

It's great if you are invested in the apple ecosystem. Once you have it installed, you pretty much can use the home app on your iPhone to control it and ignore the August app. One thing to note is that homepod at this moment (4/4/2018 )doesn't support siri to control door locks yet, so you can't have siri to turn on or off due to security reasons. Once homepod can differentiate your voice like the iPhone can, i'd imagine the issue would be resolved. The other thing is that the homekit automation does allow you to turn on and off as an automation but requires approval each time the automation is triggered. Kinda annoying but typically apple as they are very high on security/privacy

This product is easy to install, and works great, as expected. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an automated deadbolt lock mechanism.

If you want to monitor who is going in and out of your house, when, and whether they locked the door behind them, these smart locks are great and go right over your existing deadbolt. Keys are so 2016!! Great app and easy to give temp or permanent codes to family members, cleaning service, etc Super easy to install. Love the remote access and gives me peace of mind to see the door is locked.

Love having this lock! It makes life so much easier when you don't have to worry about keys. Also love being able to monitor who is leaving and coming.

Like feature of notification of when/who locks/unlocks door. Works well. Have not set up to open automatically upon arrival. Set up for people who are invited is an awful experience. On phone with customer service for 45 min. (Rep was nice/patient). Not looking forward to setting up other invites.....

I love this lock a lot. Although it makes me a little lazier when it comes to walking to the door (lol) I love that I can tell Alexa to ask August is my door locked. If it isn't, either she will lock it for me or I can just do it from my phone. The remote access is the best though. All of my locks vc work with the same key...kids lose a lot of keys, re-keying cost tons, cell phones are everywhere, especially with my kids, ...August let's me text entry codes (temporary or permanent)...Ahhh!..convenience at its finest. I don't even do reviews, but I loved doing this one. Thanks. Ps. The one star shortage is because my August connect will sometimes respond slow to my status checks. So far, very manageable

The August Bluetooth deadbolt is easy to install, and its convenient for the hands free lock/unlock. Only "con" is it would be better if it had the wifi built in instead of just bluetooth and having to purchase a separate device to make it wifi eligible and have access to lock/unlock from anywhere.
