First electric bike

Great bike when it works*

First bike had metal to metal grinding sound after 102 miles. Second bike battery level stuck on 15% while charging and lost power at 78 miles. Fun bike when it work, but it’s just not reliable.

First E-Bike

Overall it is an enjoyable bike, I like the four levels of assist it offers and the big tires so that you may tackle almost any terrain. I would reccoment putting Tannus Tire Armour Liners inside your tires to mitigate flats.

ABYSMAL customer service.

Best Buy was notified and I was told to reach out to Aventon. In the meantime, I'm stuck with a bike that goes well under half the distance advertised and leaves you stranded. NO HELP FROM BEST BUY OR AVENTON. Aventon finally got back to me and their solution was to charge the battery... Shocker, that didn't fix the problem. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU'RE NEEDING A PROJECT!

Happy 67 Year Old

Best Buy (Kenny and Luke) delivered and assembled for me as I am a Total Tech member. This bike has changed my day- to-day life. Today is 6/8/2023. I have lost 15 pounds since the bike was delivered. I am totally hooked on its performance. Beware, this thing is a tank, but engineered extremely well and built well. When I ride this bike, I feel like I am cheating physics. I recommend this bike for 50 plus folks like myself to rediscover some great excersise.

Charging requirement are aweful

Be aware that their battery BMS is AWEFUL. In the instructions it says that you must disconnect the charging battery within 2 hours of fully charged and never more than 12 hours. In other words, plug it in and check every hour until done?!?!?! REALLY?!?!? If you ride and want to plug in and forget it until the next day, this is NOT THE BIKE FOR YOU. Everything I own...literally everything with a batter can be plugged in and forget it without a problem....except this very expensive bike.
