It is defective battery . I end up returning this bike.if they deliver i hope this company needs to check if it’s functional properly and not working . It came brand new but with a dead battery. After more research this bike has so many issues with the battery. I returned it and best buy sent a new one. Well that one also came with a dead battery that will not charge. Now i will be buying a different brand of ebike.

Also, the wattage on description is 500w but the bike is actually 350w. I bought this specifically because I wanted a 500w, and now I have one with a weaker motor and dead battery. Wonderful.

Overall a good bike

The description for the regular size says it can be used by anyone over 5' tall. That is not true - I am 5'6" and can just barely stand over the bike. There is a step thru version however. The motor-battery drivetrain is good and represent more than half the value of the bike. It costs $500 to replace the battery. The derailleurs and brakes are what you would expect from a cheap department store bike. The ride quality is good - the 35mm tires are fairly rugged and good for rail trail riding and rougher roads. I only use the motor to help go up hills and the assist works well. Since the bike is new I don't know how durable it will be but again, for the price it's a reasonable value and I don't expect it will last as long as a good quality road bike that costs the same.
