Awesome packaging and extras, love when these games get deluxe versions. The game itself is fun if you like exploration focused action platformers.

The fact this game was made by one person is impressive but also telling. It does not hold your hand and can be easy to get lost. The power ups are unique with plenty of weapons and power ups to find. If you like Super Metroid and are looking for that retro fix this is a great game to pick up.

I haven't actually played the game yet, but the product came with some nice extras. There was a Making of documentary, music soundtrack, and a poster. My only problem was that the box came slightly damaged in the mail. It was shipped in a bubble mailer.

If you like the exploration style gameplay of Metroid, this game is for you. Rather than gaining access to new areas of the map through new abilities, you will instead be building a veritable arsenal of unique weapons that will allow you to fill in an ever larger map.

This game is insane. Plus the developer has a special needs son and the physical version helps fund him. Look into Tom Happ's story.

I like these collector edition boxes a lot... and Axiom Verge is a great metroidvania style game. It was worth the extra few dollars.

Calling this game just another metroidvania seems a little bit of an undersell. It has a great fourth wall breaking attitude.

If you're into old school metrovania type games, this is the game for you. Pixel are is beautiful and the story is interesting.

This is the version to buy. Game on the go, awesome soundtrack, and a map of the game that reminders me of the NES era of games.

Bought the multiverse Edition. This is the one to buy. You get instructions, music, etc. A very good Metroid style game.

The similarities to Metroid will be clear very quickly. It does the genre very well though, but be prepared to get lost for periods of time because there is little to no direction in this game. Oh, it has awesome music too.

Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition - Nintendo Switch is a 2D style game. It has a very classic feeling.
