Huge fan of the movies. Its great that a 4k set was made for this 80’s movie very hard to get 80’s movies on 4k. I watched only the original so far on 4k but some improvements or looks slightly better than the bluray sets I own before. I dont expect them to look like a Avengers movie or 2000 movie now. Still not too bad the day scenes is where you can really notice the difference in 4k. Packaging- I always order 2 copies of every steelbook movie i own. I did get a loose disc copy, but I luckily I have my backup and I can always just return my unopen copy for a full refund and that helps me save time and money in the long run. I did get damage steel books before, but generally I always got 2 copies of steelbooks since I started buying them. Just buy extras and return the backup for a full refund I especially had to do it for the DIsney steelbooks. Thank God I had extra copy of Avengers and Avengers Endgame the damage on disc and case was beyond my me. Overall good set you get the 4k, blurays, digital copies do redeem as 4k too, and extras are in the disc and also online. Other than the damage sets coming in the mail the only minor problem I have is the 4k box that holds the steel book cases together. I wouldnt mind paying a extra 5$ or so to get a “steel book box”, not this cheap cardboard material.

There are movies out there that need their own personal cases, because they deserve their own spot light and there collections that aren’t so visually effective. I’ve owned a steel Book that houses all of the disks inside and that wasn’t something I liked. But now that there are three separate steel Books and it makes it a lill bit more personal. Each one is period correct, visually it has that nostalgia. But !!! As far as external print on the cases ...! It Sucks, Unfortunately. It Could have had a lill bit more flare to it. Given its historical much earned reputation. who knows maybe their 40th anniversary addition will be much more special. I love’em and enjoy them allot.

What can you say... these are timeless classics. Now we have them in 4K, and the result is outstanding. The 30th anniversary Blu-ray set was already excellent in terms of audio/video quality, but this takes it up a notch. They looks stunning in 4K and the details really shine. This release is absolutely worth upgrading and the SteelBook package is fantastic!

in my opinion this is the best release of back to thw future on physical media and the only one worth it as it comes with fantastic new 4k transfers that even land on the 1080p blu ray discs includes in packaging that supports the disc well and unlike previous releases prevents scratches. If you want the trilogy this is the best release hands down.

The audio and the video quality is impressive! the first movie was made in ‘85 and the 4k transfer is amazing, some details i haven’t seen before are shown which very much surprised me. The steelbook designs are great as well with a matte feel cover and probably one of my favorite steelbook designs (inside and out).

Amazing set I absolutely love the Steel books and the art on them. Not to mention this is the first time these films were released in 4K. And the extras disk has precious unreleased content which is amazing. I highly recommend this for any BTTF fan or someone that does not have these films in their collection.

5 stars because the movies are so awesome and look great! The main box art leaves something to be desired, but the steelbooks forming the Delorean (in each time period) is an inspired idea. We, also, have new special features (which is not too common). Anniversary set done right!

This Steelbook set its awesome movies look brilliant on 4K HDR and with great sound. Like how each one of films covers looks nice. But sadly each bonus features are transferred from other released before; no nothing barely new.

Very good video transfer had alot of issues with the steel books at 1 of the locations and mine had parts scratch on the front of rh first disk from the factory fuel to it being matt finished steel books. But non the less the transfer is done masterfully through universal and supervision from Spielberg. Made me feel like I was experiencing it the way my dad did when it came out in theaters audio was very good upgrade as well 10 out of 10 overall true 4k transfer

Classic Films Presented in the Highest Quality

I've long since been a fan of the Back to the Future movies, ever since I was a kid. Hearing about this 4K release, I knew I had to have them, though I was somewhat concerned about the quality of presentation with this release. Wonderfully, my fears were unfounded as this new 4K release has been given all the care and attention to detail that films like these should be given. The 4K image is in a wonderful quality without relying on too heavily on digital noise reduction, leaving you with a quality image with just the right touch of film grain. The visual quality is also greatly enhanced by the use of HDR, making scenes more vibrant and lively, which really adds an extra touch to these films. In the sound department, the expansion of the older 5.1 surround track into Dolby Atmos is very well done, with good use of the upper channels. It's not the most expansive soundscape, but is wonderful work given the age of these films. From a physical perspective, the Limited Edition with the SteelBooks are wonderful. Each film has a beautifully made SteelBook with some fantastic artwork on it, and is more than suitable to be displayed somewhere. Even the cardboard sleeve that holds all three films has nice spacers in it to ensure the individual boxes don't rub against one another and damage the artwork. Well worth the small premium over the base 4K release. Overall, this is far and away the best means to watch these classic films, and anyone with the means to enjoy 4K Blu-Ray at home would love this release. I cannot state how highly I recommend this release!

Great Scott! A definitive trilogy gets the definitive set in 4k for the 35th anniversary. The transfers are fantastic. The steelbooks themselves are a matte finish. When placed side by side they complete an image of the DeLorean against backgrounds spanning the three films. This is completed by a wealth of special features you dont get in other sets. If your a fan of Back to the Future you owe it to yourself to pick up this set. Even if you may not yet have a 4k capable device? This set comes with the blu rays too. Its nice when sets still include the blu rays as well. You get over 1 hour of all new bonus features. +The Hollywood Museum Goes Back to the Future +Back to the Future: The Musical Behind the Scenes. +An alternate future: Lost Audition Tapes. +Could you survive the movies? This is a stunningly beautiful set! It doesn't get better than this! Seriously, all movies are just beautiful in 4K. The picture and sound are fabulous. I saw no dirt or film defects at all in each movie. It is perfect. I watched all of these in a row on the 55", Sony 4K player and Sound bar. I did not have any sound coming out of the TV speakers itself, only the sound bar. I suggest you do the same if you have the equipment. You will really hear more detail and sounds. As far as features are concerned, I think it is basically the same content as the 30th Anniversary Edition from 2015. This is the 4K 35th Anniversary steelbook for each individual movie. The cases are outstanding inside and out. Each disc has artwork for the movies. The 3 steelbooks are housed in the outer cardboard sleeve separately. I think the cardboard outer sleeve could have been better, like making it the same material as the Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary 4K collection with 4 movies. That box is well made. All in all, pick this one up!

For Back to the Future fans this is a must own. The movie looks the best it ever has (and that says something given that the old Blu-Ray release was phenomenal) and although maybe not worth the upgrade for casual fans, it’s a great addition to any collection nonetheless so definitely recommended especially if you don’t own the old Blu-Ray collection. The steelbooks are really awesome and the packaging protects them well, although the resolution of the image on the steelbook covers could be higher as it looks a little grainy/pixelated if you look too close. Still a top tier release of these movies, but I’d suggest maybe passing on it if you own the Blu-Ray set already and aren’t a die hard fan. Given my deep love of these movies though I can say, for me, it was worth the upgrade and every penny!

For a long time Universal had a terrible reputation for how they treated their back catalogue, even into the Blu-ray era. It was well warranted with their overuse of various filtering, DNR, and sharpening which led to their massive library of classic films looking like...video. This unfortunately included the bluray remaster of the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy. But they started turning a corner some years back, and now in the 4K UHD era have been releasing some amazing presentations of that legendary library. That now includes the BTTF trilogy, which I can unequivocally say is a top notch presentation that looks/sounds GLORIOUS in Dolby vision and Atmos, while still respecting the original intent of Dean Cundey's cinematography. Most importantly, they look like film - LIKE THE TWO BOBS (Gale and Zemeckis) INTENDED!

This series has stood the test of time literally. Although the first movie is the best, this trilogy is so iconic that people till this day still say quotes or make memes from it. Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd were a match made in Heaven where it showcased the fun adventures of time traveling to the past, to the future, and then even further into the past. It made a disappointing car into an iconic collectible. It was an inspiration for Rick and Morty as well with their adult themed cartoon. Everyone still loves the Nike shoes which finally have become real with the self tying laces in their ADAPT brand. Now we just need a fully functional hover board and we would be all set. Anytime a set of this movie is released it becomes a must own, but this 4K release is awesome.

This is a MUST OWN. I love back to the future and have been waiting for a while for the 4k remaster. Well.. THIS IS IT. It is an amazing transfer both video and audio with dolby vision and atmos. It has never looked or sounded better than this. The steelbook looks amazing and as you can already see, all three together shows a panorama of the delorean. There are also little dividers in the main casing that prevents the steelbooks from rubbing against each other. The artwork inside each steelbook is also really well done. I cannot recommend this enough. I'd try getting this in person as bestbuy shipping has been known to ship these in bubble wrap, damaging the set.

Having missed out on the previous 30th-anniversary steelbook that I believe was exclusive to Target stores, I knew that I had to have this re-release! These three movies are iconic and timeless, in my opinion. The presentation of the three steelbook cases with the tryptic image on the front and a single image specific to each movie on the back is brilliant. Normally, I would flatten and store away the cardboard boxes and slip-covers that adorn blu-ray releases, or discard them entirely. I was pleasantly surprised that the outer cardboard case has small dividers on the top and bottom to ever-so-slightly separate and protect the cases! So this one is a keeper!
