What else can I say about this game that hasn't been said? The gameplay is very slow platforming with a controller poorly used. Every button serves the same purpose across 80 costumes that either are better/poorer versions of an existing costume.
The in game graphics look barely past the last 2 generations (PS2/XBOX, Gamecube) and while the music and cutscenes look and sound enjoyable, they are just fluff on top of a bad game. Not worth $60 at all.

Great Game, reminds me of old school platformers like crash and Spyro. It doesn’t take itself too seriously and some people today can’t grasp that concept. I’ve read a lot of other reviews that gave bad marks like they were expecting a Mario game or something else entirely it’s really a shame because everyone I shared this with enjoyed it. In my honest opinion however I think this would’ve been better suited as a switch exclusive and $40 price tag.

A lot more fun than many YouTube reviews have you believe. It is a little simplistic in terms of control scheme and not many of the suits are actually used more than once. Overall it’s a good time.

This game is completely misunderstood in the same exact way that Sonic Lost World on Wii U was trashed by modern gamers for being too hard. This game is a traditional old school 3D platformer resembling something you would likely see or play on the Sega Saturn or Dreamcast as far as gameplay goes, however with modern graphics. The game doesn't hold you hand, therefore modern gamers should not expect it to be easy in certain portions of the level designs. You have to master and play each level multiple times in order to advance forward. The character designs very unique with inspiration straight from Nights Into Dreams from Sega Saturn. If you listen closely, some of the sound effects come straight from Nights on Saturn as well, which is very cool. The gameplay is not quite self explained, therefore you must figure it out similar to how old school platformers used to be. There is no holding your hands with this platformer. You must take the time to figure it out properly. Despite any difficulties of the game, the game is not bad, in fact it is good if you are good enough to play it. The game will be trashed by those who suck at playing it, but that doesn't mean the game is bad, much like Sonic Lost World on Wii U.

It's ok... if you are playing solo, I don't recommend as a co-op game.
It's pretty. It's fun. It's vibrant...
but the adventure is better solo.

Seeing trailers i was excited for the game but after demo and final game, very disappointed. Interesting ideas that are poorly executed, and visually it lacks the visual imagination it kept aiming for, and gameplay is just bland and boring.

Fun game, but be aware that it's kind of glitchy at times. The game itself has some interesting game mechanics, and the outfits and such are kind of neat. There is a 2 player mode, so if you want to have a game for multiplayer game, this is a pretty decent one as well. Not perfect by any means, but fun.

This is a game that you play for the experience. This game is not good, but it’s something I’ll tell my grandkids. “Back in the day, Yuji Naka thought he could pull a fast one on me, but nah”

The idea and premise is something to get excited about. The execution and end product leaves a lot to be desired. The hype for this game was on a grand scale knowing it was created by the man who brought us Sonic the Hedgehog. Many outfits to help you explore numerous environments. An inspirational story to get behind. It plays like it was made by a small underfunded indie studio. I hope they put a patch out for this soon. This may end up being a collectors item due to underwhelming sales.

This game is not great, but not horrible either. The game itself is nothing new a simple 3D platformer. Graphics seem a little dated, and the difficulty was good for my young kids but for experienced gamers was easy. I think the biggest problem is the price $60 for a game that been done time and time again is way to much. I would wait for this to go on sale. It's a good game for kids and ok game for experienced gamers.

This is hands down one of the most fun platformers that I have played within the last few years. The game takes clear inspiration from a lot of 3D platformers from my childhood like SM64 and Banjo-Kazooie, as well as implementing plenty of its own unique ideas, which meld together in this game perfectly. The game has a ton of different costumes that you will unlock throughout the different levels, each with its own unique abilities that fit the theme of the costume. Some of them are kind of obvious and generic such as a lot of the animal costumes but there are also a ton that interested and surprised me! The soundtrack of this game is lively and fun and anyone’s who plays it is bound to love the music. The graphics quality of the game on the switch leaves a bit to be desired but, the bright colors and backgrounds, as well as the level design are gorgeous and unique. I have owned this game for about a month now and have put countless hours into the game, because the storyline is extremely interesting and the game has a ton of replayability. The game with it’s collectathon, nature also filled me with an overwhelming urge to go for a completionist run. I highly recommend anyone who likes platformer and collectathon games try Balan Wonderworld.
