    Another excellent DC Animated release

I have enjoyed all of the DC animated releases, but wasn't as excited about this one being that it was based off of the video franchise. That didn't matter at all, & didn't have to be advertised as such. It was simply an excellent movie about the Suicide Squad that tied Batman in. As always, the special features alone were worth the price of the bluray. Bonus episodes of shows featuring Harley Quinn and the documentaries were great additions.

While Batman is the focus on the cover and title, he has a smaller role in this movie than you might think. The story focuses on the Suicide Squad, taking place before the events of the the original 'Arkham' video game - "Batman: Arkham Asylum". I would say this leans more to the 'mature' fans of the Batman/DC stories based on some scenes. Awesome movie and recommended for anyone that's a fan of the Arkham video games, or Batman in general.

This is another fine entry from DC's animated series of direct to video releases. My only gripe would be the huge BATMAN on the title. this is really a suicide squad movie and should be billed as such. Batman is hardly the lead character. DC has wisely featured Harley Quinn as the extra figure (which is well done) due to her current popularity. Overall a fun movie with some great extras. There are two behind the scenes / preview videos and the usual 4 episodes of other previous tv animated related shows.

Batman: Assault on Arkham Is definitely worth it!

Loosely based on the Arkham Asylum video games (very loosely based) comes a hard-core, action-adventure where Batman is the supporting character, paving the way for the Suicide Squad. You would think having Batman take a back seat in this story would hurt, but this movie delivers on all fronts with the exception of a slow build-up to get the story rolling... but once in gear, Assault on Arkham takes flight and is a great addition to the DCU animated library. Way better than Son of Batman. It's worth it!

Batman: Assault on Arkham is strangely enough, not so much about Batman as it is about the Suicide Squad. This is a great thing as the movie gets to showcase the villains that you usually don't get to see a whole lot of development in. It's hard to really speak on the movie without giving spoilers, but if you are a fan of DC or comic book related materials in general this movie should be satisfying to both the eyes and ears.

This movie should actually be titled Suicide Squad: Assault on Arkham in my opinion since it has more to do with that group than Batman himself. It's a pretty fun movie and meant for adults more than kids due to its graphic content. I enjoyed the story and fight scenes and the voice work was well done. Not in line with other animated movies like Under the Red Hood or Son of Batman, but still enjoyable.

This film is a very dark and mature animated film like the world of the games it is based off of. Troy Baker's Joker is fantastic and really the movie focuses on the suicide squad but the 2 stars that make this movie shine are the Joker and Batman. It's amazing that animated films in America can be treated so great and in a meaningful way like Japan does. All in all an amazing film but it shouldn't be setting next to the children section in any store.

If you're a huge fan of the DC universe like I am, you will definitely not be disappointed with this film. Batman may be a minor character in this film but he still does what he does best: fight hard and be awesome. The rest of the cast and characters shine and help each other's performance. One of the best animated comic films I've seen in a while both DC and Marvel. Take note Marvel this is how you do DVD films right.

This DCU Batman release with Harley Quinn (who is one of my favorites and my daughters favorite Batman villain) .... I am so glad they did a Batman release with Harley Quinn as one of the featured villains. A great backstory for some of the villains and a wonderful story-line..... Arkham Asylum, where you can escape and come back to Gotham and create more havoc. This is a Excellent DCU: Batman release and a Must Buy!

I didn't have many expectations for Assault on Arkham. Batman's animated films are either hit or miss and this one hits it right on target. This movie in all honesty shouldn't even be called a Batman film. It's a suicide squad film. Batman is more of a side character. Another thing is that you don't have to have played the Batman Arkham games to enjoy it because it can stand alone on itself.

The movie was quite good. Being able to actually root for the bad guy was fun. Enjoyed Harley Quinn's story arch quite a bit, and being able to see Deadshot in action was a definite plus! Very violent though. Not for kids...at all. Elements within the story deal with adult subject matter and while I enjoyed it thoroughly, I would not let my kids watch it. Overall a definite good addition to the DC Universe movies.

I came into Assault of Arkham thinking it would just be a watered down movie version of the games the film is based on, but I was wrong. Not only is the film not in any way beholden to the Arkham games, but in many ways the story outshines them. Not only is the writing superb and humorous in a way that Batman hardly ever is, the action and violence is outrageous in that comic book way we all love. Not to be missed.

As someone who thought the theatrical Suicide Squad movie was okay, I checked this one out on a whim. This is the movie that should've hit the big screen. DC' s animation studios hit another high note with this one and if you have any interest at all in the Suicide Squad or even the Batman universe in general, you need to check this out. It's the movie the Squad deserves.

I originally bought this movie because it had "money" to go see Suicide Squad in theaters. I figured, after I saw the movie, this movie would've cost me very little. I was very surprised to see that this is a great animation that has a very good story (that of a Suicide Squad) and isn't for young kids. I enjoyed it very much and was shocked that I hadn't heard about it sooner.

This is a great action movie. If you like the movie Suicide Squad you must see this movie. This movie should have been named Suicide Squad Assault on Arkham because the Suicide Squad is the focus of this movie and Batman is secondary. This is a very entertaining movie from start to finish and not every character in this movie makes it out alive. Check it out, you won't be sorry.

A very authentic DC comics adaptation, but I can't help but wonder, where has batman gone?!? Most of this story revolves around B/C-list villains within the DC comics multi-verse, and while the plot isn't without it's twists and turns, batman is conspicuously absent through most iof the story, except for a few interesting cameo appearances. All in all, Assault On Arkham doesn't do much to develop the batman mythos, but it's a rousing good time nevertheless.

When the government teams up a group of supervillains with the code name Suicide Squad and forces them to break into Arkham Asylum to bring back top secret information the Riddler has stolen, Batman soon becomes involved. But things go from bad to worse when one of the Squad (Harley Quinn) frees the Joker, who has the means to not only blow up the asylum, but most of Gotham City as well.

Movie takes place between the Batman Arkham Origins and Batman Arkham Asylum Video Games. Helps bridge the gap between new and old games. Great animation and voice actors. Kevin Conroy is back as the voice of Batman although the film is centered around Harley Quinn and the Suicide Squad as the main characters. Special Features are great, Background on Harley Quinn and Arkham Asylum.

Would NOT recommend for any child to watch this film due to the excessive violence and suggested images, However, film is enjoyable that focuses on the Suicide Squad featuring a cast of villains some known and unknown. Not a Batman film for those wondering, but still an enjoyable film.

In my opinion, Arkham Assault is one of the most entertaining DCU movies in awhile. I love that the bad guys were the focus. The action started pretty much from the first minute & didn't let up through the entire movie. I buy all the DCU movies from Best Buy for the special figurines that the movies are packaged with. It' s a great bonus. Keep it up Best Buy. You rock!!
