Fans of the classic Batman TV show will be delighted that all the classic gags and moments from the old Batman TV Series are faithfully included. As this film progresses, it transforms into something really meaningful that uses the original show as a springboard for its own important message. The likenesses of the classic actors have been captured brilliantly, and the art and animation is brilliant! This is a smart, beautiful, fun movie that will remind you of why we love classic Batman so much. This is a way more entertaining and engaging film than either of Batman's live action efforts this year.

As someone born in the 60's, I remember the Batman TV series. I didn't know what camp was. I thought they were serious. I thought superheroes were duly deputized members of law enforcement. Of course I eventually learned what campy TV shows were about, and it sort of cheapened the impact for me. But when I saw this video, it really did bring me back to the old TV series. The only one missing, of course, was Batgirl, which was both sad and understandable given Yvonne Craig passed away not too long ago. The story is a bit long, but the various homages to the series were worth the wait. It was a joy to hear three of the original actors return to their characters, and that's really the redeeming quality of this special.

My family and I love Batman. Hubby and I grew up watching the TV show and our adult sons grew up on the reruns of the tv show and everything Batman after that. This new animation movie is funny just like the old tv show was. The fact that Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar are back saying those crazy, funny, corny lines is hilarious. The blue ray is excellent quality, the DVD looks great in the DVD player and the digital copy is outstanding. The hardcover comic book is a great keepsake to own also. If you loved the TV show from back in the day, you will love this movie also.

I am a child of the 80s so I did not see the first run of the original batman series when it aired. I did, however, see tons of reruns and absolutely loved the show growing up. I bought the remastered blu ray set as soon as it was released and the show will always have a place in my heart regardless of how cheesy it was. This animated call back to that series was super entertaining and paid such homage to the series. The animation is sharp and the bad jokes are all there. For any fan of the original show you owe it to yourself to check this movie out.

I remember watching the classic '66 Batman series as a kid in the 80s! Thankfully we still have the original Batman (Adam West) and Boy Wonder (Burt Ward) to give us this new animated movie based on the quintessential show! This movie is a MUST OWN for anyone who is a fan of the great Batman show OR anyone who will wants to introduce a new younger generation to what was so great about the good old days of comic TV shows!

As excited as I was when I heard this was being released, I was a bit disappointed with movie its self. It seems they went out of their way to capture the campy-ness of the '66 series and were detoured. There were plot holes galore and it wasn't on purpose, like the in the original. Also, though for me, Julie Newmar is the one and only Catwoman, it seemed like she was phoning it in. It almost didn't sound like her (and yes, I'm accounting for the passage of time).

Adam West and Burt Ward return in this animated revival of the old 60s TV series. They're both sounding a little long in the tooth but it's still great fun seeing them get another crack at the characters, and all the classic villains are back as well. It's every bit as campy as the old show, if not moreso, super colorful and thoroughly ridiculous. The main appeal here is nostalgia but they did a pretty nice job of capturing the spirit of the old series.

For those whose first exposure to Batman was via the '60s TV series, this DVD brings back a lot of memories. It was great to hear Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar revisit their characters, while the voice actors portraying Joker, Riddler and Penguin did a fine job evoking the performances of the now-deceased actors who originated those roles. It was a blast!

Finally we have some new content around the iconic show. The 5 stars are for the project in whole and the actors performances. It's highly entertaining. I know they're doing more, and if they do I hope they add a little more depth to it. Story wise, this was pretty light, just a series of biff bam fights, which as a 90 minute animated piece can get a bit old.

The 60's Batman was what I grew up on. Batman is still a favorite and though the Batman from that era is campy, I couldn't resist. Suffice to say that if you were a fan of the TV show you will probably like this. I enjoyed the animation which was spot on and having original characters do the voices was great too. The story? meh. I didn't like the ending but it's still worth adding to the collection in my opinion.

If you loved the 1960's television Batman you will love this animated movie. Bruce and Dick are at it again. I watched this with my daughter who is High School age, and she could not stop laughing at just how corny the voice acting is. So via You Tube I pulled up an old clip from the television show to show her, and then she understood what made this video so great. A must buy for the video collection.

As a child growing up in the late 60s, early 70s, my Batman was Adam West. It was great hearing him and Burt reprising their roles all these years later. Granted Adam and Julie in particular, sound a little different, this animated movie managed to captured the feel of the show perfectly! Great supporting cast of villain voices too. Definitely a trip down memory lane for us "old" fans of Batman!

If you a true 66 Batman fan, you'll want to own the DVD. I would go for the standard blu ray since not sure if the Deluxe is worth the extra money. All you get is a small comic book. Actual Movie is a tad but then was the show itself. Not as good as the show, but was fun to watch especially since it has Adam West and Burt Ward. I understand that there is a sequel due out next year.

This was a fun movie to watch. it was different than other toon movies in the DC Universe. It has the voices of the original 60s TV cast, beautiful styling of the original show's art and thematic features, and its all tied together with a very well written script with a more modern plot device. It's worth a watch, for sure.

I really enjoyed this DC cartoon movie. Better than the last few pictures. I'm glad they kept this picture children appropriate. Unlike some of the other DC cartoon movies. Where they've been a little bit to mature to watch with your children. Also liked the nod to the old school Batman tv show.... BOOM! POW! ZONK!

If you like the classic Caped Crusaders back in the day when everything was not so serious, tada! This is for you. I loved cruising back in time and enjoyed a fun cartoon movie that took having fun seriously. Seriously fun in other words. A nice escape. The extra stuff included was gravy. Loved it all. Seriously, or maybe I loved it since it was not serious.
