Batman:The Return of the Caped Crusaders is a throwback to the tv show from 1966. Surviving cast members, Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar bring authenticity to this animated movie. It's funny and campy just like the old tv show. It's a nice trip down memory lane for those of us that remember the show.

I bought this because three of the original actors did the voice work for the characters and it turned out really well. The movie was written like an episode of the 66 show. It's worth the money. As I understand it, they recorded the voice work for a second movie before Adam West dies as well.

Animated Version of the 1960s Batman TV series with that style plot. Batman and Robin are after the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman as they steal a device that can duplicate items as part of their latest crime spree that leads from death traps to outer space. Then Batman decides to takeover Gotham and run it better than everyone else.

I bought this for my son. While most of the actors are deceased and weren't available, they were able to capture the essence of the original series and the voice work for the replacement actors is passable. Overall, very enjoyable.

Great to see Adam West and Burt Ward reprising their roles-now in DC Universe. Too bad Cesar Romero and Frank Gorshen have passed but their roles are credibly filled. Julie Newmar however has also returned and is beautiful and tempting as always for Batman. Looking forward to new installments.

If you liked the old Adam West Batman YV show, then I'msure you'll like this. Adam and Burt Ward revise their roles as Batman & Robin. Their voices held up nicely through the years. It's a pity that the actors who played the Villians have passed on and could not be a part of the movie.

Great movie with some of the original characters. Adam West's voice was a riot. Sounding older but worked well. Several tongue in cheek moments similar to the original move but way overplayed which made it even funnier. If you enjoyed the original series you will love this!

Great to revisit the 1966 series with some of the original cast. Great story, great nostalgia, great fun...HOLY RETRO it's Adam West, Burt Wart and Julie Newmar and I LOVE the Catwoman reference to Dark Knight Rises. You gotta see it to understand what I'm talking about..

Really enjoyed this video. They did a great job capturing the essence of the '66 Batman TV show, but also took advantage of the animation format to go beyond what could be done in the live action format. Also, a few funny tongue-n-cheek references to classic characters.

This movie is so much fun with the way they brought back as many of the original actors as they could. Adam West, Burt Ward, and Julie Newmar reprise their roles as Batman, Robin, and Catwoman which is purrfect to me. Great fun and laughs if you liked the 60's show.

Captures the Spirit of Batman '66

This film flawlessly captures the spirit of the Batman '66 TV series. Some of the gags are truly inspired. The included hardcover book was disappointingly just a repackaged version of comics already released. It was somewhat misleadingly implied to be a adaptation of the film. That's the only negative.

If you enjoyed the 1960s Batman tv show, then you need to watch this movie. That particular style of campy Batman translated really well into this animated adaptation. Surprisingly interesting and entertaining plot, and it's great to hear Adam West and Burt Ward reprising their roles of Batman and Robin.

It was a new episode of the 60's TV show, but in cartoon form. Adam West and Burt Ward are back. Julie Newmar is also back as Catwomen. The voice talent doing the other villians are also excellent. So, if you are a fan of the TV series, this is a must see.

Loads of fun and, being 8 years old at the time of the original series, made it that more nostalgic. Full of the eye rolling dialogue that you would expect and terrific animation adds to the experience. Hope they don't wait too long for an animated sequel.

This was a fun movie. Great to hear Adam West and Burt Ward back as the dynamic duo. Julie Newmar was perfect back in her role as Cat woman. Even the actors doing the voices for the Joker, Riddler , and Penguin did a fine job. A nice nostalgic return.

Very glad to finally add this to the collection. I was actually at the convention where this was announced a few years ago and caught the Q&A with West and Ward. Still such passion for these roles. It really comes through in the flick.

This is a great idea to involve the original actors of the 60s tv show to lend their voices and allowing them to continue to relive the innocent insanity of that classic. This film perfectly captures the tone and spirit and it's a load of fun.

Fun, cheeky, and corny - just like the live action original. :) I loved that this movie didn't take itself too seriously. Add to that, the voice talents of Adam West, Burt Ward and Julie Newmar, this was entertaining nostalgia at its best. I highly recommend to Batman fans.
