Overall I enjoyed it very much. It’s nice being able to see this comic as a movie.

As a fan of the original graphic novel, and proud owner, I had extrememly high expectations and it almost was perfect. Mark Hamil in his final performance of The Joker was spectacular and the animation and style were great. What I took issues with, was the added sub-story, about the relationship between Batgirl and Batman. I'm not sure why that was added, since it was not part of the original story, nor was integral to move the story along. I didn't mind the added background story, but adding this piece to the story I found out of place and unnecessary. Overall, I really enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to anyone, just overlook the extra sub-plot/story.

Ok so lets address the elephant in the room the first thirty minutes are not good and was completely unneeded. I understand the reason for it ,to give Barbara Gordon more of a role in the story, but it was poorly executed. The Barbara Gordon character deserve better then what we got. The rest of the Killing Joke was alright. It is a decent translation from the graphic novel. The main reason for buying this version however fully depends on the rest of the set. You get an awesome Schleich Joker figure, and a mini Batman: The Man Who Laughs Graphic Novel. If you are not interested on these items then just stick with the original book or get the dvd.

this movie divides me, as it does other fans. its broken into two stories. i like the first made up story a lot, fans done. then there the actual killing joke part that wasnt handled well by the staff.

Love the joker figurine that this comes with and for that alone it’s worth a buy!

A MASTER PIECE OF MOVIE, I HOPE DC MADE THIS MOVIE IN LIVE ACTION, I LOVE IT.

I really enjoyed this movie. Batman is one of my favorite super heroes and so far, all of his recent animated movies have been amazing. This movie definitely portrays another side of Batman that we don't usually see in other films, but still great. Surprisingly, this movie really focuses on the world around Batman instead of primarily Batman himself. I definitely recommend this movie to add to any Batman fan. If you are just looking for a super hero action movie, this is not really the movie for you. There wasn't as much action in my opinion as many other Batman movies. This is still a great movie though!

Loved the movie. It is one of the most exciting movies i have seen so far.

The comic book source material for this story is one of the greatest ever printed. This animated adaptation is also excellent but not perfect. The extended Batgirl storyline is appropriate, but one particular decision between her and Batman is jarring and negatively impacts the overall story. I also feel like the missing arrival of the cops and how the comic portrays what it appears Batman is about to do at the end of the comic story changes things... read the comic and see the film to decide. It's still awesome and definitely worthy of anyone's time who wants to see a definitive look at the Joker character.

If you can still find this set, you are in for a treat. This review is based on the set though,but as for the movie some added story probably was not needed. The story the movie is based on is one of my favorite batman stories.and the movie tried to incorporate pretty much most of what was expressed in the book. The limited edition set though has a pretty intricate mini joker plastic statue. And a copy of a graphic novel of a different batman joker story. Graphic novel included is tiny and somewhat novel to read, as you are bending the binding of the book pretty hard to read it. Good set never the less.

I think they did a pretty good job at adapting parts of the Killing Joke comic to animation. It's not exactly the same, but it has a lot of good aspects. The one thing that will throw you off is the story about Barbara at the beginning if you're not expecting it. I think it's there to really show you the evil of joker, and then juxtapose it with what you see in parts of the Killing Joke. I think it's definitely worth seeing, but if you like some of the little things like the "You'd have to be crazy to work here" sign on an Arkham Asylum's desk, you wont' see it, but the rest is fairly accurate.

If you like a different perspective, The Killing Joke, is a start.

I used to watch the G-rated Batman animated series after school many years ago. Not having read the original comic book for this story, I figured that this movie would feel like watching the others DC movies utilizing the animated series voice cast. The previous PG/PG-13 rated movies ratcheted up the violence to earn their increased ratings and this movie sure deserved its R rating. But I feel like it was forced, especially in the first half without the Joker. It was not my favorite in the series, but you really cannot compare it as it is on an entirely another level of maturity.

If you like Batman, then is one to own. Worth a watch.
