Overly excited about this iconic story...too excited to have original voices of Batman & Joker back in action..really, really let down on this movie...could hardly evem stay awake to watch it...save some $$$$ ...rent it!!!!!

The Batman: The Killing Joke (DVD) is a must have for those of us who are dedicated DC comic fans

The (mostly) beloved Batman story by Alan Moore seemed to lose some of it's luster in animated film form. The lure of seeing a classic tale from the Dark Knight's grim n' gritty era brought to 'life' with the definitive voice actors for the animated Batman (Kevin Conroy), and the Joker (Mark Hamil)- done with an 'R' rating no less- seemed irressistable. But the finished product somehow seemed unfinished, and in spite of some additional (and controversial) additional subplot/subtext, paled in comparison to the standalone graphic novel original. Good for Bat-fan completists, and maybe people who had never read the original.

This retelling of the Killing Joke is so wonderfully made and is worth watching over and over.

I had far higher hopes for this movie because it involved one of the best storylines from the comic book. The movie was merely okay and in my opinion not as well done or entertaining as some of the other animated movies.

Bought it on sale. Came with extras. And figure looks cool. Good quality. Enjoyed watching it

Batman is always good to watch and the action is awesome so hook it and don't forget the popcorn
