I really thought this would be one of the best movies to come out of DC's animation studio. It's a great story, with a fantastic cast. Unfortunately it's also a short story so a prologue was added to flesh out batgirl and it feels very disjointed from the rest of the movie. To make make things worse the animation is the worst I've seen from the studio so far. They went with a style that attempted to blend Brian Bolland's original artwork and Paul Dini's from the animated series. The end result looks good when the characters are stationary but terrible when they're in motion.

I heard good things about the Killing Joke comic book so I was excited to buy this!!!

First half was not as great as the second half! Good adaptation of the graphic novel

It was okay. Not as great as I wanted it to be but better than some other of the DC animated films, but I felt like there was too much time devoted to Batgirl's mini-episode in the first 3rd of the film.

This is yet another great DC animated movie in an already long line of great movies!

As you can tell by the title of the review, this is a great movie.

... but that's okay. If it was panel-for-panel, it wouldn't have held my attention!

You get the movie along with the novel and a special edition joker can't beat that.
