    This is good animated movie of joker back story. Not recommend for kids.

    The second half of the film is a faithful adaptation of the comic, but the film starts with a new Batgirl subplot to build her up more, which is pretty mediocre. Your milage may vary.

    For some reason, when I saw this, I kept feeling like I'd already seen this movie before, even though its supposed to be new. I never read the comic, but was familiar with the plot, which is why I wanted to buy it; plus, DC animated movies are waaaaay better than their human-centric counterparts. Having said that, this one was just OK for me. Great story, but the art was different from their normal animated movies (more BTAS than Justice League animated movies). After seeing it, its no longer a must-have for me...just mediocre.
