    Worthy Soundtrack, but Not Iconic

Veteran film composer Hans Zimmer has scored some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters, including Christopher Nolan's acclaimed Dark Knight trilogy and the most recent Superman film, Man of Steel. For the upcoming sequel to that film (the first time Batman and Superman will on the big screen at the same time, not to mention Wonder Woman and other Justice Leaguers), he teams up with rising star Junkie XL for a good, solid score. Zimmer brings back some of his Superman themes from Man of Steel, but he and Junkie are careful not to reuse anything from the Nolan films, as this is a new Batman in a different universe. The score bears many of the duo's trademarks, but aside from the previously mentioned Superman themes, nothing emerges as particularly iconic, which is a shame. Those of us old enough to remember watching the Christopher Reeve Superman or Michael Keaton Batman movies know how great the themes for those films were. Just a few notes of the John Williams Superman march or Danny Elfman's Batman put you in Metropolis or Gotham City, and it's too bad that this score couldn't deliver on that level. Nonetheless, it's enjoyable to listen to, and the deluxe version has some extra music and liner notes including an interview with the composers. Worth a purchase, but if Zimmer and Junkie return for the upcoming Justice League film, let's hope they come up with something truly memorable.

This soundtrack was better than I expected. The music gets you into the different moods in the movie. I love all the instruments he used. It is very clear and sounds great with right sound system.

Nicely builds off what was started with Man of Steel, but not as instantly classic as its predecessor. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor all get their own themes, with WW's being the standout. At times though, it sounds extremely similar to some of Zimmer's work for The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Exciting Score by Two of the Best

Hans Zimmer has been one of Hollywood's best composers for decades, and cemented his legacy with the scores to Chris Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, as well as the Superman reboot Man of Steel. For the sequel, which introduces Batman and Wonder Woman into a new universe, he teams up with DJ and rising composer Junkie XL. Combining some of Zimmer's score from Man of Steel with new themes, the music transitions from somber to frenetic to heroic, as a score for a film like this should. Zimmer recently stated his retirement from superhero music, but he leaves on a high note, and Junkie XL is in position to continue his legacy.

I love this soundtrack, specially Beautiful Dream, Their War Her and the applause inducing, hair rising Is She With You?. I believe that Zimmer is a worthy successor to John Williams, and his work on future DC movies will be missed, but at least he gifted us with this jewel and Man Of Steel soundtrack to enjoy in the future. I still believe that the Man Of Steel soundtrack wins by a notch, but it's worth buying, no doubt about it. Plus all of the package design is awesome!

I LOVE the works of Hans Zimmer which had my expectations really high for this soundtrack. I mean, it's BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. I really enjoyed the Man Of Steel soundtrack (deluxe edition) so this one was a little of a letdown. Once again, the better tracks are the bonus ones on the second disk. It's not a deal breaker by any means. If you enjoy Hans Zimmer and his work then you should add this decent work to your collection.

I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to this score, and seeing how Hans Zimmer expanded on the themes he created for "Man of Steel". His collaboration with Junkie XL has resulted in subtle changes to what came before to very different themes for the new characters to the franchise. Wonder Woman's track in particular brings a fierceness to her on screen debut. If you enjoyed the score for "Man of Steel", give this a shot.

Ive always been a fan of Hans Zimmer and a newcomer to Junkie XL. Hans Zimmer steps back from scoring Batman again as he did in The Dark Knight Trilogy and delivers on his aspect of the soundtrack. Junkie XL's Batman is chilling and menacing and a great listen. Deluxe version is sort of a let down with only a few extra tracks ok the album that are more of the same. Great artwork included.

Yes, it's a little similar to a lot of the recent superhero modern electronic scores for you score enthusiasts, but how Zimmer and Junkie make it operatic in tone it's a great entry into the genre. I do miss the old school Superman by Williams or Elfman's Batman, but those wouldn't fit this movie and this score really works in the film. Not a bad listen either.

Despite the mixed reaction to Synder's film, Zimmer's and XL's work on the score of BvS is stellar. Junkie XL writes a new score for the Dark Knight and Zimmer continues to evolve the thematic score for the Man of Tomorrow he created in Snyder's Superman remake. Great listen and wonderful packaging.

Hans has announced that he will not compose any more scores for superhero movies, so this is his final one. Overall it is good, but it isn't one I will listen to over and over again like some of his previous work (Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar, etc.)

As a fan of the MOS score, I was looking forward to this release. It is a different experience than the MOS score, but I enjoyed it greatly. The track "Is She With You?" is one of the greatest score tracks I have heard in years.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the original motion picture soundtrack deluxe edition that makes me feel like I'm in the multiplex movie theatres with the big Dolby Atmos or IMAX sound. My favorite movie is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Hans Zimmer has never disappointed me. His skill at composing soundtrack scores for movies puts him in the top tier. Pay attention to these tracks: Men Are Still Good(The Batman Suite) and Black And Blue.

Hans Zimmer's collaborative score with JunkieXL is amazing. From Wonder Woman's score to Alexander Luthor's score to Batman's electrically pounding score. This soundtrack is a must have for every Batman & Superman fan, or every DC fan.

It is worth to any comic book fan or Hans Zimmer fan to purchase the special package for the extra songs not featured in the regular album. It sync's very well with the movie.

I love Hans Zimmer's music and how he can create such great songs that bring you deeper into the movie and characters of the movie. It's unfortunate that he will no longer be scoring super hero movies.
