    Game of the year 2016?

I wasn't expecting much from this game, just a typical fps shooter. Battlefield surpassed my low expectations completely! They literally make you feel like you're in WWI, and got me so interested that I began even doing self-learning on WWI. Getting use to the old-style weapons is tough, having come from COD weapons, but its fun to learn how to use them. Online play is difficult, but luckily there is offline story mode. Great game.

    What COD once was!

The game is what Call of duty once was, not the syfy junk they have been releasing the past few years. World War 1 and the essence of intense fighting with your squad is back. Not as fast paced as say Battlefield 4, but the more you learn the maps, gameplay and style, the more you fall in love with the game. Single player campaign is also very good. Would certainly recommend to any fans of the old COD games that once set the bar for World War 2 games...

Have been waiting a while for a non futuristic game. Used to like cods but they went too futuristic/unrealistic. This game delivers all I wanted in a game, there's never a perfect game but this one did pretty good. From graphics to sounds effects. Online mode is great and plenty options for any type of player. The only bad thing is that there's Snipers camping all the time but I guess that's in every game. Overall I recommend it.

This game is my first in the battlefield series, but I must say it's good. Being a fan of COD I was iffy on buying this game, boy was I wrong. COD is just another halo game now since they forgot about the real feeling of a fps. Battlefield 1 does a great job by being the old weapons and tanks to the console. Graphic, gameplay, and story mode is fantastic. I haven't tried multiplayer yet so can't comment on that..

This game simply is amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect at first since I'm a huge COD fan. However, the past few COD games have been, in my opinion just junk. They are all futuristic and just plain dumb. Battlefield restored my faith in first person shooter games for the PS4. The story line is amazing and the graphics are fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone that misses the former COD days. :)

Call of Duty nose dived after Ghosts in my opinion and this is my go to game to spend hours straight playing. The weapons are period perfect and as with all Battlefied titles the "realism" (one headshot, two body shots for a kill, etc) are alive and well. I am not the greatest at FPS games and have not ranked up high enough to get any planes/tanks but am content with using an Enfield doing overwatch.

The campaign, or storys you can play, are fun but the action is really online. The graphics and performance of the game are top notch, but be prepared for a learning curve. I only have a few hours total in a week to devote to online gaming and I feel overwhelmed at times. If I could devote hours upon hours, I'd be okay, but it is a difficult game to pick up periodically and expect to dominate online.

The single player is pretty decent this time around. Using the war stories format really worked out well with the opening being my favorite bit. I wish the whole campaign kept the that more serious and dark tone. Multiplayer can be a lot of fun but hardcore mode sucks this time around. (I used to almost always play on hardcore servers for BF4) Operations has become my favorite game mode. The battles are intense and get quite crazy sometimes. There are loads of codexes to unlock by doing certain things in the game. After I unlocked all the weapons I found myself having a lot of fun trying to complete the codex challenges and learning about the weapons, battles, and people in the war. Codexes in general were a really interesting addition to the game and I hope to see them return. There are a lot of balancing issues that need to be addressed in the game though. Most games I find myself in my team is either dominating or completely getting destroyed. Some players are so horrible at the game that I wish they could just be replaced by bots because then the team would actually have a chance at winning, it's ridiculous. Once in awhile there are those incredible games that are matched perfectly where both teams fight tooth and nail to win. Those are the games that make the purchase worth it. World War 1’s weapon selection is quite limited and DICE tries to get around this by giving you weapon variants instead of individual attachments. This feels more authentic to WW1 but you can really feel the lack of customization here compared to previous games. Loot boxes are in the game but in a pretty basic way. They are mostly just used to unlock a few melee weapons and weapon skins. For the most part I am happy with my purchase. There's a lot to unlock in the game although about half of the weapons are locked behind DLC. I have really enjoyed my time with Battlefield 1 and other than the occasional bugs, balancing issues, and limited weapon variety I think it's a game worth getting if you can get a good deal on it. 4 out of 5 stars.

Good game for gamers looking for a change of pace from the Call of Duty franchise. If you are coming from that franchise there will be a little of a learning curve involved. The new operations multiplayer mode is a fun experience as it's very team based. Has the classic multiplayer modes such as team death match if your looking to get a quick game in. Overall the game looks good and plays better.

got this on sale have only played a few of the single player missions wow you die fast, the missions do give a good feel for the confusion and disorientation of combat, the smoke, the gas, etc make it hard to know who is shooting at you, where they are, who is an enemy, the weapons aren't easy to score hits with, they feel crude, much as I imagine the real weapons of the period did this makes it feel much more real than other shooters I've played really like the experience want to complete the single player before going online

After being worn out of FPS games for a few years now, and having also gotten bored of Overwatch, i decided to give this a try during the beta stages and was thoroughly impressed. Having played it for a few days now, I can tell you that the game lives up to the hype. Single player is even exciting to play! Graphics are amazing and the some of the maps for the online are just inspired. Great game!

Battlefield 1 manages to capture the gruesome gore of the great war. In this game you follow the story of multiple characters involved in the 1st World War. Aside from the great single player story there is the facinating multiplayer that battlefield is well known for. Fly planes, ride horses, dig in to the trenches you name it. This is the best battlefield expirience to date leriod!

Battlefield 1 continues the Battlefield tradition in a new era and it is all the better for it. The multiplayer, as usual, is top notch with some concepts borrowed from Dice's Star Wars Battlefront. The story, while very short, is varied and is surprisingly well thought out, at least at the beginning. Definitely buy this for the multiplayer, but the single player is a huge bonus.
