Customers frequently mention the enjoyable gameplay, immersive story, and engaging single-player campaign of Battlefield Hardline. Many also praised the action-packed nature and affordable price point. However, some players expressed disappointment with the size of the maps and the selection of vehicles. The game's overall reception appears to be positive, despite these minor criticisms.

Certainly this is a shooter. It's Battlefield. But, it will make you think of the environment in which this game is placed. It will challenge you on politics and race. At its core, it's a shooter game, yet ironically enough rewards you by arresting criminals and not shooting them. But, also ironically, the rewards it gives you for not killing people are bigger guns lol. But, overall very enjoyable game.

For this being the first time I've played a Battlefield game, I have to say it was AWESOME! The story line was great and I couldn't stop playing, I just wish it was longer. But overall great game!

I am enjoying a new installment to the battlefield series, but to be honest this doesn't really feel like a traditional battlefield game. It seems to me to play more like a mix between battlefield and call of duty. The unlock system in multi player is also different in that you earn money and unlock the weapons using the money. The single player seems enjoyable so far, it's just a little slow.

I caught this on sale for about 20 dollars off. Great game love the single player campaign and the multiplayer is even better. This gives me a reason to take a break from COD multiplayer

if you want a game with lots of action and intense fights/driving then get this game. I enjoyed the cops and robbers aspect and it adds a new twist to the shooting genre. highly recommend

Battlefield 4 was a fun game back in 2013, though one loaded with tons of bugs that could potentially break the game (Not physically, although I'm sure there are a few who did on the first days of release) and when word of a new Battlefield coming out the following year, many people were reserved in their expectations after the fiasco. It seemed promising enough, swapping the battlefield for the streets as a police detective, but people feared of a similar situation as BF4, but with the beta response, EA luckily delayed the game a few months to March of 2015, but was that enough to restore confidence in the series, or did it hurt the bottom line?
In a drastic departure from previous games, yes, you are a cop on the streets of Miami, who is double-crossed by your partner for a crime you didn't commit and have to clear your name. Yes, this is a big cliche, loaded with the characters and dialogues from various films and TV procedurals (even casting actors from said TV shows) but set in the Battlefield universe. The gameplay is the standard BF style (2 weapons only that are upgradeable, one grenade type, and one gadget type) which plays like any other game in the series but with one mechanic that is flawed. That flaw is the arresting system. In games like Metal Gear, you can play the game in complete stealth, and not fire a single bullet and it's legendary in it's stealth mechanics. Here though, the arrest mechanics (bundled with the stealth system) is a sloppy mess that doesn't work most of the time. Most of the time it doesn't even work so you have to kill the guy rather than subdue the perp and that will effect your score. Also sloppy is the lousy evidence system, where you open your scanner and scan for evidence. Sigh. At least the core experience of the shooting still is a blast and every weapon feels great to use. The graphics are really nice, especially on the newer consoles and PC (the game is also on PS3 and 360, and looking decent, they don't even compare) and the sound design is amazing. But the story mode is lame but how it's set up like a season of your "INSERT NAME HERE" cop show, even including the "Last time on _____" breaks, is amusing enough, but not enough for repeat playthrough. What is worth it, is the fun, and still very active, multiplayer. Heists, PvP modes, use of vehicles, and use of dedicated servers are a godsend and make this some excellent multiplayer fun to be had. Only drawback is the use of loot boxes and the (optional) DLC packs giving you instant 100% maxed out stats on everything. Pay-to-cheat is not fun; learning skills and strategy is.
All in all, totally worth the $4.99 on sale, but $20 is a bit much and is recommended to wait for a sub-$10 price.

I have not played it a lot yet, but the single player on this is much better than previous ones, great graphics as well. I have not got into online yet but that should be great as well.

I was very impressed with the campaign in this game. The multiplayer is awesome. I have been a call of duty fan for years, but after playing this game I am on the battlefield bandwagon.

I'm enjoying the online multiplayer in Battlefield Hardline. The action seems to be faster paced than Battlefield 4 and there are new modes to play that keep it fresh. I haven't had any problems with lag, even though my internet connection isn't the best.
The spawn points in team death match are frustrating sometimes, but I hear there is a patch coming that will improve this.

After spending a couple hours playing the campaign, Ive concluded that although it moves quickly, the campaign helps the game stand on its own without requiring any interest in multiplayer. Each level offers a stealth, guns-blazing, or mix of an approach with ultimately limitless replayability. Definitely a purchase for this interesting installment in the Battlefield series.

I did campaign on veteran and it seemed pretty easy. You can pretty much use stealth the whole mission. Multiplayer isn't as large as previous battlefield titles, but it's still fun. I got one last trophy (enforcer syndicate 25 kills with dbl barrel) and the grind is ridiculous. Can't wait to finish this so I can get rid of this game and finish up the rest of my backlogs

Let me start by saying I am a semi-Battlefield veteran, having played the installments starting at Bad Company all the way through Battlefield 4. I was not going to buy this game. It looked rushed, seemed very off the beaten path in a bad way, my friend who also loves the Battlefield series told me to give it a try, so I did. Let me say I am glad I did.
