I got this game hoping the different game types would give this FPS a new feel. But after playing through the game types the game didn't offer anything special. The amount of maps and weapons seems a little low as well. Game play is fine and graphics look nice. Over all not a bad game just nothing special.

This isn't your usual battlefield, obviously, but it's not bad. The positives are the new game types and the fact that you can buy weapons and attachments instead of being forced into whatever they decide to give you when you level up. It's also nice to be able to change your load outs out side the actual game. Some of the negatives, you miss some of the weapons and vehicles, you still have to level up to unlock certain things and every time you switch from cops to robbers you have to make sure you have the correct load out, because the weapons are different for each. Now both a good and bad are the maps. They are smaller, which is good because you don't have to run so far, but bad because some times its too tight and seems crowded. Over all a pretty good game. Worth playing just to try out the new game types, but I wouldn't say it is the best out there.

This is a faster paced Battlefield which for me is a good thing. The gameplay is addictive, specially the new multiplayer mode "Hotwire" which has you racing certain labeled vehicles at high speed to earn points for your team to win. The story was pretty fun as well. It is shown through "episodes" which focuses on specific timeframes of the story. If you would like to get something different than Call of Duty, this is a potential game to look into.

The campaign is a little different than what most may be used to. You are not encouraged to just run in gun's a blazin. You have to be a little smarter with how you go about each mission. There are different tactics and paths you can take for example. The multiplayer online is as always great fun as well!

I'm a big Battlefield fan so there was no doubt that I was picking this up. Visceral did the campaign which was well received and the multiplayer is just as solid as always. The Cops and Robbers aspect was a nice touch and something different for the franchise. Excited to see if the franchise continues.

    Not a real battlefield game

I loved battlefield 3, was my favorite fps game. Battlefield 4 had its ups and downs but overall was fun. Hardline does not feel like a typical battlefield game. The maps are WAY smaller than they use to be. Only 2 guns per class to choose from (3rd if you do an annoying amount of things to unlock it), the vehicles are choppy, and it kind of feels like a CoD game instead of battlefield. The graphics are not very impressive at all either, specially with it being on a next gen console. The good things about the game is the story mode was pretty interesting, I like the idea of in-game currency, and the tripmine/camera gadgets were very useful. But overall, I'm not very happy with the game itself. Because of Hardline, I doubt I'll ever buy another battlefield title in the future.

The story I must say for a battlefield game is pretty dope. The shooting is superb and what you should expect from a battlefield game. But I won't give it a 5 star because the maps are campers dream lol. Yes I'm hating but definitely worth buying without a doubt.

I purchased this with little knowledge about the gameplay, and was pleasantly surprised by both the multiplayer and campaign. Not the greatest effort in the BF series, but I wouldn't dismiss it. Plus, some of the multiplayer modes are pretty enjoyable.

I thoroughly enjoyed the story in this campaign. Graphics and gameplay were fun, challenging but not impossible. Highly recommend. I've tried to enjoy the multiplayer but find myself frustrated, great graphics and motion but I'm just not very good!

After hearing a lot of "great reviews" for this title I decided to purchase it for my self. It has a good story line, and great multiplayer features. I dont know...just something about it makes me feel it doesnt qualify for 5 stars in my opinion.

It's fun bit it's a lot smaller than BF4. Less guns, less equipment and fewer vehicles. I don't play TDM due to spawn dieing and the maps being small. Small Conquest maps are a good size and act like a TDM but Hotwire is the way to go. You can have ZERO kills and be the top scorer. The campaign is different but good, though you can't play it in front of your kids due to multiple charecters dropping F bombs quiet often. Over all I think it a 7/10 with room to improve with future DLC. I don't think cops and robbers is the wave of the future.

An awesome combination of the traditional battlefield concepts mixed with a cops vs robbers theme. The story mode offers exciting plot twists and interesting characters. Online multiplayer features the classic battlefield modes but also has new cop vs robber modes, such as hostage rescue. Anyone who is a fan of GTA and first person shooter's will love this game!

I'm not usually one to play battlefield, but this one changed the formula enough to interest me. The single player was fun, albeit a bit tongue in cheek, but I had fun. Multiplayer works well and is a different experience than call of duty.

I've been having a lot of fun playing this campaign. You have the options of playing in stealth mode and shoot em up. Right now I'm playing on stealth mode. Once I beat it, I plan to go back and play shoot em up style. I can't say much for the online portion because I don't really care for it. This game is worth the asking price and has replay value.

    A Different Take on Battlefield

I wasn't all that excited for Hardline truth be told. I picked it up on a whim when it was on sale and ended up being pleasantly surprised though. The single player is ridden with cliches, and the story can be kind of dumb some—if not all—of the time. That being said I enjoyed the stealth combat. It makes for some pretty ridiculous encounters, but the mechanics are satisfying and something you wouldn't expect to find in a Battlefield game. Meanwhile, the multiplayer features conquest and TDM modes that are sure to satisfy, but, more importantly, Hardline adds its own modes as well. They're chaotic takes on several cops and robbers gametypes that give the game some legs. I doubt Hardline is for everyone, but if you can find it at a decent price and you're a fan of the series it's worth a try.

Single player has been one of the best in BF history I can remember. Multiplayer also is extremely fun and entertaining. Only thing I miss from previous BF's is my tank. Overall an excellent investment for hours of entertainment.

Great addition to the Battlefield franchise. The multi-player is similar to past versions while the story mode is an interesting and new idea. Very happy with this purchase. It is exactly what you would expect from a BF game.

I have had a lot of fun with Hardliner. It is different enough from the old Battlefields that it feels fresh. Don't expect massive maps and tank battles with this game, but a more intimate and smaller game. I have enjoyed it.

The story was intriguing and kept me playing all the way to the end. Clever mechanics and great visuals. The multiplayer is some of the best I have experienced in years. Maybe since Modern Warfare 2. It's even better. Progressive game modes and fresh ideas. Great buy!

Sure it's based on battlefield, but it's got its own unique style. The campaign is really a surprise. Good story and fun mechanics. Multiplayer is crazy! Much faster than battlefield 4 and there have been so many "Xbox record that" moments. There aren't as many people camping either. The fast pace makes you move. Just a lot of fun!
