I love this series I wish it had more seasons I would highly recommend

If you're a child of the 70's like me, then you undoubtedly remember this show. Each week we'd tune in to see the next chapter of the Galactica saga as it searched for the fabled 13th colony located on planet called Earth. Both the original Battlestar Galactica series and the follow-up show, Galactica 1980, are included in this set. The 1979 theatrical movie isn't included in this boxset but can be found on Blu-ray for a cheap price separately or you can buy "The Definitive Collection" and it's included in that boxset. Unfortunately the blu-ray presentation of the series left a lot to be desired in my opinion. The graininess of the episodes was very evident in so many scenes I lost count. However, I was glad to have the series in the more modern 16x9 format, hence my choosing this boxset over the "Definitive Collection" as I had no interest in seeing the episodes in the 4x3 broadcast format. Some of the episodes that were originally broadcast separately (War Of The Gods, Saga Of A Star World) have been molded together as one long episode too. I did find myself wishing that Universal had cleaned up the images a bit better and perhaps even tweaked the special effects like Paramount did with the original Star Trek series years ago. In spite of the shortcomings, I still recommend the purchase of the set.

Made in the days before cgi this show is a fun way to kill time. By today's standards it is cheesy but I like it.

They battled in the stars which was pretty galactic. The classic 70's series is all here in it's 70's cheesy glory! This even includes Galactica 80 which well, many people have some opinions on, but it has awesome motorcycles. Cy lon your way to this set, I make no Apollo gee's for that put, but maybe watch after buying some Starbucks.

Great remaster of classic tv. Price was a little high, the same as Wal-Mart.

Great seeing the original source material for the new SYFY series

The Battlestar Galactica series has been out for a long time but it is timeless. Highly recommended as good clean science fiction viewing. This has enough drama to keep you interested but not give you bad dreams to keep you up after viewing movie.

I loved the original Battlestar Galactica TV show, much more than the reboot, but I didn't have it in bluray. With this purchase, which was reasonably priced, I am able to enjoy this wonderful series in high definition.

It's great seeing this old series, which we thought was cutting edge, on my 4K UHD, although I now laugh at a few things in it. Has been really enjoyable watching it.

Classic series on BR. Would recommend it to anyone that doesn’t already have it.
