I love that this DVD can be purchased at Best Buy online. I must say I do miss being able to buy DVDs from their stores. I liked to stop in and check out all the DVDs. Sometimes I would buy other stuff in the process. I think it was a big mistake by Best Buy to remove them from your stores. DVDs are a good hook item to bring people into the store. I know you can store movies on other devices, but what if they fail or some other issue happens. I still will have my DVD to play the movie anytime I need it.

My mom loved the movie that I got her for Mothers day. I would strongly recommend since it is a good movie.

We found this Blu-ray for a pretty low price at Best Buy, and it was more than worth it. It such an emotional and touching story. One of the main characters (C.C. Bloom) is mainly played by singer Bette Middler, however, the story begins with the two meeting on the beach as kids, where the character is actually played by a very young Mayim Balik (best known as Blossom). Despite being so different, they quickly form a bond. This really set the tone for a great movie, as the two remained in touch for a long time and helped see each other through so much (financial hardships, failed relationships, being a single mother, etc.) and there is just so much emotion that goes into everything. There's so much more I could say here, but there's only so much space to write, so I will just say that this Blu-ray is more than worth getting. It's a great movie, and there's a number of bonus features.

One of the best movies of all time. Bring the Kleenexs.

This movie is one of the great classics. I would highly recommend watching it.

I saw this movie years ago and while it was an okay movie (from a male perspective) it is indeed a total chick flick.

I have seen this movie before, a long long time ago. Wanting to see it again I looked it up online. Best Buy had the lowest price, even below used movies on ebay. I ordered it, it came in very fast, got an email it was in, easy store pick up. Went home and cried my eyes out at this tear jerker again even after having already seen it.

A great edition to my DVD library. I had this on old vhs tape and was one if my favorites. Haven't watched a vhs tape in five years or more so it was nice to watch it again. I like that it came in DVD version so I could watch it on my lap top when I'm away from home.

Beaches is a great movie about two friends who care and support each other through good and bad times. It showcases the Divine Ms. Bette Midler as she was beginning her film career and this movie is a reminder of how long we have been able to enjoy her awesome talents. Watch and enjoy with a friend who you'd want to be there for you.

We had seen Beaches some years ago. Can relate to friends that started out in childhood and continue for many years. We like the statement by Bette Midler " as a child I did what I was told not to do". A movie with heart will move most of us to friendship with someone dear to you.

Bette Midler proves why she is a national treasure. Great story and the music is timeless. You really need this one in your collection. The special edition makes it a great upgrade even if you already own it.

One of my wife’s favorite movies and she says that it looks great in blu ray.

This movie is a classic and now to have it on Blu-ray is even better.

Classic heart wrenching tear jerking emotional movie. Great acting, with some singing of Bette popular stuff.

Growing up together and falling apart and then back together again. Wow, what a great movie. So touching...and a tear jerker. Everyone needs a movie like this once in a while..
