In 2002, Disturbed released their sophomore album, and those expecting something similar to their debut The Sickness were either disappointed or surprised. Where The Sickness was raw and visceral, Believe was a more sonically clean sounding album with more crunchy riffs and double bass drumming, but a more varied vocal style from David Draiman with a lot of emphasis on melody. Personally, I like this album. Give it a listen.

Due to their commercial popularity, Disturbed can't help but be classified as a "nu-metal", mainstream band. Some people have a problem with Disturbed and their popularity, as any successful metal band these days is categorized as a sell-out. Call them whatever you want, but I say "Who cares?" When a band releases a CD as good as "Believe", the music speaks for itself. "Believe" is an excellent album that metal fans should be eager to hear. With this CD, Disturbed have definately set themselves apart from the rest of the pack.

With great songs such as Prayer and Liberate, Believe is a great follow-up album to Disturbed's debut album, The Sickness. Heavy, yet melodic songs. Good stuff.

This album has been out awhile so it can be had at a good price. Disturbed's music is great and never seems to get dated.

If you liked the first album by Disturbed then you will love this album.This is a great album from start to finish.

That being said......this is still an excellent release by an exceptional band. When their least successful artistic venture comes out this good, you can rest assured that all other albums are classics.

One of the few great bands were every album is awesome. Believe is my favourite.

Not the heaviest albums but still a solid piece of work

This record in my honest opinion is way underrated. It is simply packed with such amazing writing and song structure. I wasn't a fan of disturbed in my younger hay day but I decided to give them a chance and picked up Believe and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I would recommend this to anyone who loves melodic metal. Stand out tracks are Liberate, Awaken, Prayer and Intoxication.

It has some good cover songs on it, but a casual fan might be better in picking up one of the groups newer releases.

A very good album. Not one of their best but pretty awesome if you're into heavy Metal.
