This item was easy to install right out of the box. We tried to use our cell phones to set up, better To just use the computer, makes our signal work 50 ft farther, and has four ports to plug in DVD Players, printers etc, anything that you would like More access with. We love ours so much and it Works great that I want to purchase another one For the office, we live in an older home with limited Ports for internet use.

The tech did not really know the specifics of the use, thinking we need to have a cable from original router connected to it but that wasn't the case. Only thing I needed to physically do was to plug it in an electric outlet. Extremely easy to use and it works, bridging between the basement inlet and the second story where I am now.

Does what was needed. Helped with current w-fi.situation just needed a boost.

We needed to have steady wireless access in the attic and deck and the Balkin Dual-Band Wireless Range Extender has done this easily. I would certainly recommend this for most general purposes. I have nothing to compare this to in terms of distance extended and for different situations. It works well in a large wooden home. Balkin has always been a reliable company based on personal experience.

I had a different extender and it just up and quit on me, it was a small one that just plugged into the outlet, thought it would save space. Worked OK for awhile, then I just had to keep resetting it., Finally it went out. So I went to Best Buy and got the Belkin and I have range all over my house, It is terrific.

The only reason I didn't give this extender a 1 star rating is that when it worked it was wonderful and it had plenty of advanced options that other extenders do not offer (protected mode, choice freq, etc.). Once I set this extender up it stayed connected for a few hours then needed to be power cycled. I would not just lose the connection to the router but it would stop transmitting a signal and not be detectable. Power cycle again and it worked for a few hours. Replacing it with a simpler and cheaper extender (Netgear) was the best decision I made.

This device provides coverage for several devices in our two level house.

Easy setup. Easy connection. Makes my second floor accessible via wifi.

Bought to extend church wifi works well. It was very easy to setup.

I had three Netgear range extenders that you had to call India to get someone to help you set it up. Then after about a month or two months the extender would go out. After three, I desided to try another brand. I hit the jackpot with this one. I had the Belkin up and running in about fifteen minutes compared to the three hours on the phone with the Netgear crew.

Was super easy to set up and works just as needed. When I first set it up my primary router had a few issues where I had to reset it a few times but that seems to have gone away and may have been an issue with comcast and not this router. I now have wireless coverage in my backyard.

I bought extender for my son's room. He constantly complained about game lag on his Xbox with multiplayer. Signal without extender was 2 to 3 bars, but I guess 4 bars are needed to eliminate lag. This unit did the trick. Full signal, no lag, and 4 Ethernet ports in back. Now Xbox is hard wired from extender and I gots me a happy boy! 2 ways to configure extender (done with browser): 1. Set up extender so your devices show both router (SSID) and extender (SSID_xt) this way you can compare signal strength. This might require manual switching between the 2 depending on location and signal strength. (this is the default and the way I have it configured) 2. Setup extender so that it mirrors router. This way you won't see SSID_xt listed in your devices wifi networks and therefore no need to switch between the two. Drawback is inability to access the extender settings menu since extender is controlled by router. I purchased one month ago and works as advertised.

Worked perfect for my application and gave wi-fi coverage for that end of the house.

Reception in a distant room greatly improved. Now able to utilize smart tv functions.
