My home is made of concrete and steel. My fios router would not get more than 1 bar in any room in the back of the house. I now have 4 bars everywhere!!! Yay!!! The salesperson at bestbuy, named Danny, recommended this extender and he hit it right on the spot. Video games, tvs, laptops, tablets..., everything works gr8t and really fast . Thanks Bestbuy and Danny and Belkin. Great product.

Price was a little steep, but good value. Our home is small but long, this extender helped cover the entire house.

I bought this devise principally because I have an internet phone and got tired of having a cable running from my router all the way to my desk two rooms away. The range extender comes with four ethernet ports, one which I now have my Vonage phone plugged into. The phone works great! As an added bonus the WiFi connection in this side of my house is better too. Great piece of equipment.

Worked with the first modem it was hooked to but if you get a new modem it won't hook up and they will charge for their support after 90 days.

Bought a NetGear Extender for $10.00 more and was not even on Power or connecting. Next day I went to exchange it and got the Belkin instead, just to give it a try. To my surprise to be honest, setup was done in less than 5 minutes and perfect connection. I only can recommend it.

It worked great with my belkin router, but was not compatible with an AT&T router that I purchased later

Should not have needed this with my Belkin Dual Band Router but it clearly boosted the signal strength.

I installed this Wi-Fi range extender about a month ago. I have had great success in solving my poor signal on the first floor to include my screened in deck of my 3,000 square foot home. I made the SSID and password mirror those of my router and my devices seamlessly switch between the extender and router as I walk from one floor to another.

The setup couldn't be easier, if you are turning off your wifi on your notebook and connecting the router with the included ethernet cable. If your laptop is a macbook air and you don't have ethernet port or converter, then you're screwed, because you can't set up wirelessly a wireless extender. Why would you do that? The network password can take only alphanumeric characters, so if you used other characters in your existing wifi network then you have to replace the password to a simpler one in your main router and in all your devices. Fun! Once the router is connected, make sure you don't want to extend the 5G network if you have only 2.4ghz because the extender will blink an amber error, and there is no way to disable the network in the primitive setup screen of the repeater, the only way to fix it to do a firmware reset and start over the whole configuration. The user interface designers of this router might be evil, bitter, burned out old bald hardware engineers who are made this product with deep, repetitive loud laughter in the background while they slapped each other a-sses and jumping and running around in the office basement. Once everything is setup, it actually works. Well, works well with an old Windows based notebook, but couldn't even ever able to connect to a macbook air nor to an iphone. If you ping any server, from Apple devices it keeps the connection for about 2 seconds then drops for 10 seconds, then comes back for 2 seconds, etc. In overall, you will loose all your hair during the stress why it's happening and by the morning you will turn into an evil monster as well, with weird, freaky laughing and slapping the a-ss of the people who are in a few feet radius around you. Don't buy it! There must be an alternative. This product is instant hell! The design is nice, but it's like a cold hearted manipulative stripper, just takes your money and gives no real satisfaction, just a bunch of stress.

Had the device setup and working in 15 minutes. I extended the wireless signal to a part of the house that had zero signal. After positiing it in a closet in one of the bedrooms, I 4 bars.

first i bought a netgear extender, couldn't get it working after 3 hours. returned it, bought this (the belkin), had it running in less than 10 mins. full signal on the rigs i use it on. only draw back, i use it for gaming and streeming media, once in a while there a short lag spike

The setup was way too easy. In fact i looked at my kids about 1 min after pluging it in and said "thats it?" I dont know what problems others are haveing. I did not have to use the included CD. I use it to boost wifi to my PS3 and apple tv. It works very well on both bands.

This worked fine right out of the box. The instructions were very clear and setup took all of 5 minutes. The only trick was to rename the SSID after the initial setup to make one extended network rather than two.

This range extender works great. I have it in my shop, which is about 50 feet away from the house. It picks up the signal from the house and give me a great signal in my shop. I use it to connet to Pandora for music, and have had no cut outs.

Was hoping it would use the same SSID like my old Linksys extender, but this one creates a second SSID with (_xt) at the end of the name of your regular SSID. So far its worked create and the devices switch between the regular and the extender SSID without problems, just confuses the wife/kids a little.

Read the reviews on this one and was a little hesitant but i was blown away by how great this worked. My router is in the front of my house so I put the extender all the way in the back. Full strength signal. I would highly recommend it!

Very easy set up and works great. Large house and several large metal obstacles made this purchase necessary to access Netflix and internet throughout house. Having to buy this in addition to wireless router wasn't planned for but it works great now.

Bought the extender because there was a spot in the house where the wireless signal was weak. After insalling the Belkin extender there is a great signal all over the house and in the back yard.

Even though others slammed this extender I found it th easiest extender to set up out of three I've had. Less than twenty minutes compared to my first extender, a Linksys. Now I have reliable wireless in all but one room in the house.
