Great HDMI to VGA Adapter

Good for video, audio didn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I tried this and did get it to work for the VIDEO for my projector but couldn't get the audio out mini jack to work. So I ended up changing the audio setting on my laptop from HDMI to the normal internal speakers and used a audio cord from my headphone jack to the projector for the audio. So that is why my review is 3 stars not 5. I did get it to work using that workaround and would recommend it.

I already was going to replace it as I purchased it in 2008 and it had MS Vista. My intent was to purchase an external hard drive to put all of my information on before I replaced it. I purchased this and a cable to see if I could use my HDTV as a screen (didn't work). So I took my old laptop to the Geek Squad and they were able to pull all of my info off of my laptop onto this. Ironically (but not purposely) I wound up buying a Toshiba laptop so no compatibility issues.
