As an apple watch user I often wish that I had an extra one in my bag when traveling so I do not have to remember picking up the only one beside the bed when when waking up early. This belkin apple watch charging cable feels really sturdy with a quality that seems it will last forever. This is a 1.2 m or 4 ft cable with a 5 year warranty included which gives you a peace of mind. The watch aligns magnetically to the charger and the charging indicator comes on instantly. Being apple certified there are no error popups. The quality is excellent and belkin rates the cable to bend at least 1500 times or more before it has any issues. The inside wiring is said to be kevlar reinforced to add durability and feels really great in hand. Quality apple watch charger from Belkin.

This Belkin Apple Watch charger is just what I needed, a spare watch charger for when I’m away for more than 24 hours. The wire on the Belkin charger has a different feel to it compared to the original charger. According the the box, the cable is Kevlar reinforced and should last 1500+ bends. The charger is 4’ long and according to the box, comes in 4 colors: gold, white, pink and black (website shows Rose gold and black only). The charger does what it’s supposed to do, charge. I didn’t notice any difference compared to the original when it came to charging. It’s magnetic end connects to the watch just like the original. The major difference I noticed was the size, the Belkin is larger in diameter and thickness vs the original charger. While this may not be a big deal for many, those with 3rd party accessories, such as a watch stand, this charger may not fit your device. Everyone and their dog makes phone chargers, I can’t walk out of a store without seeing them. I hardly see any quality 3rd party Apple watch chargers (Belkin charger includes a 5 year warranty). While this charger is a bit pricier than the original charger, it is a great option for those looking for an additional or replacement charger, especially if your rough on your wires.

Bottom line: The Belkin Apple Watch DuraTek Cable is great for travel or a rugged replacement for your original charging cable. Pros: DuPont Kevlar braided cable, flexible reinforced joints at both ends, lightweight Cons: charging puck is noticeably larger than one on OEM cable Review: I strongly believe that if you are going to pick up a second/replacement charging cable, it should be a braided one. They are simply far more durable than plastic coated ones. Consequently, I was quite surprised when I removed the DuraTek cable from the packaging; the cable itself feels incredibly durable, but it’s also significantly lighter than other braided cables I have owned. It also is more flexible when you wrap it up (typically around your hand), which, at least for me, is often the source of biggest stress on the cable. Belkin, of course, didn’t stop with reinforcing the braided cable with DuPont Kevlar. They also created a flexible but rugged joint where the connectors (USB-A, charging puck) attach to the cable. As most people probably know, this is the spot that is most vulnerable to fraying and breakage with a typical cable. However, since the cable is not directly exposed on this charger, this shouldn’t be an issue. The only minor, potential problem is that the charging puck is noticeably larger than the one on the standard, OEM cable. If you use the cable alone, it’s not an issue (it doesn’t affect night standmode at all), but if you have an accessory (e.g., a stand) that uses the standard size puck, this charging cable probably won’t fit.

The braided cable and substantial strain relief at each end makes for a tough and attractive charging cable for your Apple Watch. The end that couples with the watch is a tad larger in diameter and thicker than the first-party version, so beware if you plan to embed that end in something like a dock or stand. If you mainly just rest your watch on it, or use your watch in "Night Stand" mode, this cable will work great. A cable like this needs to do one thing well - charge your watch, and it satisfies that requirement without issue. The rest is aesthetics and cable length. I'm not sure that one needs a Kevlar cable for their watch charger, but if you do, this has it and will probably take a beating and keep on charging.

Full disclosure: I was given a Belkin Apple Watch Cable in exchange for a timely and honest review. I owned an Apple Watch 1 and recently upgraded to a Series 3. I have a number of watch charging cables and stands. I thought this rugged cable would be a good addition to my inventory. The Duratek cable is well made, nice looking and it works very well. I think it will hold up well, though I am very gentle on my hardware and rarely wear out cables. The only negative I found with this cable is the size of the magnetic disk. It appears to be about twice the size of the standard Apple charging disk. It likely is not a big deal, since it is still fairly small. Overall, I think this is a nice cable that should last longer for people who tend to wear out their cables.

The cable is great. You can bend it without worrying about ruining the cable. The Duratek series like the name implies are very durable. The wires are Kevlar reinforced. They say its supposed to survive five year I have a dog that bit through the first cable I had so hopefully this one can last. Above anything else, this cable WORKS. It's always something to worry about when you buy third party cables, especially for Apple products. I can see this cable working for years to come. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would but the one reason I can't give it a full 5 stars is because of its price. Given how bad the other third party cables are, this one is still the best but up to you if you want to pay the premium for that.

Belkin has added another premium Apple Watch accessory with the Duratek Cable. Unlike the regular Apple Watch cable, the Duratek Cable is protected by Kevlar and is very flexible. I'm not sure if I would've thought of bulletproof vest material for an Apple Watch cable, but it's nice. I like to go camping, and I love taking my Apple Watch with me to track my steps when I go hiking. It's nice that I can leave the regular cables at home and have a strong, sturdy one I can take on the road with me. I put it through the ringer on a recent camping trip and my buddy used the regular Watch cable. His cable ended up frayed and part came off at the puck connection, but the Duratek cable came through like a champ. Not sure if that's a testament to the cable's strength or that I just take better care of my stuff. If you do a lot of outdoor stuff, then the Duratek Cable is a great addition - the price is a bit steep, but Belkin has a habit of putting out quality products. I'd rather spend a bit more for a tougher cable that will last than keep buying regular ones that don't last.

This is a fantastic cable. Very well built and looks beautiful. Slightly larger than the stock cable, so if you have a stand it won’t fit, but as a stand alone charger to keep in a bag or purse, or a backup in a desk drawer, this works fantastically. Charges incredibly fast. My 1st gen Apple Watch charged 10 min quicker than usual.

This did what it was suppose to and charged the apple watch. The cable is made nicely and the length was enough for me to keep from tripping or getting tangled. I would have loved for this to come with a frame to nicely place the apple watch however it works and that was the end goal.

Significantly high quality product. Cable is flexible and durable magnetic module is larger than the original one by Apple but fits perfect.

This cable is excellent quality, looks very nice, and works very well to charge the watch. It's regular price is way too overpriced but I was lucky to get it on sale for 50% off, which was a great value and even $5 cheaper than Apple brand.

This cable is strong and durable and great for traveling. I bought it to used with a Belkin charging pad, but it doesn't fit. It is bigger in size than a normal charging cable for an Apple Watch so it is not able to be used with anything you need to put it in that is fit for a normal sized cable.

I purchased this Apple Watch charger for my charge station in the kitchen. I charge my watch when I take it off to do dishes or cook. I was pleasantly surprised to see the magnet was pretty strong and it charges well. I don't have to adjust the watch in places like OEM charger.

This charger is great to keep in the car. Gives my Apple Watch a quick charge as I am driving. Cable is long enough to keep watch close so I can just snap it back on and off I go. Purchased it on sale, so that was an added bonus. But worth it, even if it's not on sale.

When my Apple charger stopped working while traveling I went to the local BB and they helped me select this unit. Seems more robust both in the cord and the magnet that holds the watch to the charger,

Charges great! I haven’t had it long enough to test the extreme durability they advertise. I got it on sale, otherwise I don’t know that I would have paid full price for this. It only gets four stars because of the price.
