The Belkin Apple Watch Duratek Cable puts the OEM Apple charging cable to shame in nearly every way. The OEM cable is the typically too short 3 ft flimsy that most have come to expect with their Apple devices. The Belkin Duratek Cable comes in at 4 ft and is Kevlar reinforced, double-braided nylon covered, and the charging module is encased in aluminum to protect it from bumps, drops, and falls! You can even, intentionally, bend this cable up to 180 degrees without worrying about breaking the wires inside - the cable provides a new level of flexibility you cannot expect from the OEM cable. Also, Belkin offers something it is calling MIXIT accessories as companion upgrades for this cable such as charging docks and power banks that will charge your Apple Watch without having to drag your cord along. The Belkin Apple Watch Cable is what I have come to expect from Belkin. It is a very good backup or replacement product that is made of high quality materials. The cable is four feet long which is plenty enough to reach in most places and still have your watch nearby on a desk or nightstand next to your bed or workstation. It is covered in a beautiful black color that similar to Apple’s jet black. The magnetic charging section is the only part that is white. The cable is a weave/woven material that is very durable and appears to be craftley made to last for many years. I was upset to discover that the round end is larger than the original Apple Watch cable that comes with the watch so this one will not fit in stands that are designed to hold the original Apple watch so I have to use this one as a stand alone to charge my watch. Although, each time I sat my Apple Watch on the charging it began to charge instantly. It’s lite and flexible enough to carry around and would make a great travel cable. I’ve found this to be more necessary with the latest Apple Watch update as my battery runs down a lot faster and I find myself in need of a charge after about 12 hours of usage. If you’re looking for a good quality backup Apple Watch cable, the Belkin Apple Watch Cable is a good addition to add as an accessory.

Inexpensive charger for your IWatch fast charging time,

This is a very good charger but it does not fit the charging docks. I would only recommend if someone is not using a dock.

Don’t know what happened with my Apple charger. Hate these chargers are pricey. Have only had a few days but works fine .

Belkin was clearly trying to differentiate this Apple Watch charging adapter on its durability. The build quality really feels great. I've rarely had issues with Apple's cable durability, but this one feels clearly sturdier. It's a great spare charging cable to have for traveling. The Belkin cable is definitely larger and not going to be compatible with charing stands that were designed to precisely match the original Apple charger's size. I will probably keep using an Apple cable mounted in a dock at home, and use this Belkin cable for travel. I used a USB power-tester to measure the watt draw from this cable while charging, and it measured exactly the same as my original Apple adapter. If you're in the market for a replacement or spare Apple Watch charger, and don't require strict compatibility with an existing docking solution, Belkin's product is worth a look. It's a bit more expensive than Apple's, but it performs every bit as well as the OEM one and I expect it to make up for that price through increased longevity.

The Belkin Apple Watch with Duratek Cable charger is one of the latest of Apple Watch chargers. Will it will really hold up better than the standard Apple Watch charger ? Under normal use, no it will not. Think about it, how much wear and tear does the Apple Watch charger really experience? Not much. Under more extreme conditions, yes it appears it will hold up better. So what about the functionality? It does what it is supposed, it charges. Let’s review the pros and cons : Pros Built well and appears durable. At 4 feet, the cord is longer than the standard 1 meter Apple Watch charger. Cons The Belkin Apple Watch charger is larger in diameter and thickness than the original charger. I am not sure it will not fit in some accessories like stands but I did not test it. It is nearly twice the price as the 1 meter Apple Watch charger. The 2 meter Apple Watch charger is still less expensive. So , would I recommend the Belkin Apple Watch with Duratek Cable charger? No. Not because it does not do what it is supposed. It is just too expensive compared to the competition , including Apple. Belkin needs to drop the price at least 25% in order for it to be competitive.

The Belkin Duratek Apple Watch cable is a great choice for anybody that is in need of an additional or replacement cable for their Apple Watch. The cable is sturdy, but flexible. It is immediately obvious upon seeing and feeling the braided Kevlar casing that this will withstand being stepped on, pinched, dragged, snagged, twisted, or kinked. The wireless charger module is considerably larger than the original cable’s, which I found to be a good thing. I leave my cable plugged in beside my nightstand and if I ever accidentally knock it off, I find myself fumbling around in the dark to find it. This made it much easier to search for and grab onto when you can’t necessarily see what you’re doing. The downside to the added size would be any third party docks or stands that you might have to thread the charger through...it is conceivable that this charger would not fit some products. The 4 foot length seemed to be just about what I needed for it to reach where intended in most cases, and the flexible ends made it easy to direct it around anything that was in the way (i.e. furniture). An attached leather wrap, clip, or bungee would have been a nice touch though for anyone that might use this as a travel cable. I fully intend on buying another cable for my car, where it would be nice to wrap the excess length in something to keep it out of the way. I did not notice any dramatic difference in the speed that it charged my Watch, however it was hard to gauge because I usually charge it overnight. For all intents and purposes, it got the job done just as well as the original. Overall, I would recommend spending the money on this charger over the alternatives as it has some nice features that will ensure you won’t find yourself having to replace it again in the future.

Apple make great products, but let's face it - their cables are ahem, not great. If you're like me you've had more than a few Apple cables fray, break and generally cease to be useful. That's where Belkin comes to the rescue. The Belkin Duratek Apple Watch cable is made of a mix of kevlar and nylon. It's got heavy duty plastic around the USB plug and the Apple Watch magnetic charging base is also suitably protected. In fact, this cable is so well built Belkin give it a 5 year warranty - which is longer than (honestly) you would expect Apple to keep supporting any of the current Apple Watches. Does the Duratek Apple Watch cable work? Yes. It charged my Apple Watch at the same speed as the official Apple One. The cable is a good length (4feet) and the build quality means it has become my permanent watch travel cable - so I use it more than the standard Apple Watch cable. As I can throw it in my bag, unplug, replug without worrying I'll end up with a useless cable. Definitely recommended over the official Apple product.

The best part about the Belkin mixit cable… it’s about a foot longer than the charging cable that came with my Apple Watch. The double-braided nylon and shielded cable is a bit thicker than the original, and, while not as flexible, it is reasonably so. The sheath at both ends of the cable is more substantial and the Kevlar core keeps the cable from stretching. I don’t bend or stretch my cables, but the extra durability can’t hurt. This is the most robust Apple Watch charging cable out there. Once, my Apple Watch did recognize that it was not connected to an “official” Apple charging cable. Nonetheless, my watch has charged normally every night for over a week. The only down side is that it does not come with a charger. I’m using the white Apple charger with the black Belkin cable. If it matters, you can get a black 1 amp USB charger to match (or go for the Belkin rose gold cable). ;-)
