It was getting white streaks from the dried sweat so I decided to clean. In doing so it came apart. For the Money paid, you should be able to clean it.

It is very difficult to tighten, it constantly slips down and now it is ripping along the hem so I am no longer able to use it at all. I will never buy one of these from belkin again.
