I was offered this at a crazy price so I went for it. Blooming is no problem but it brews hotter than 200/205 which removes the flavor and adds bitterness. For someone who drinks starbucks and purchases stale coffee this looks great and would make a decent cup. If you use fresh beans it will just add bitterness and remove flavor from the oils and not a true pour over.

The plastic water reservoir where the heated stainless steel sits on that transfers water to the section that has coffee started to crack from the heat. Crappy design. Save yourself $100 and get a more reputable brand.

I paid $42 for this supposedly $100+ coffee maker. It made good coffee. Key word being "made". It broke after 3 months.
