A great movie but would've been even better in 3-D.

Cool visuals in a comic book sort of way. Disappointed at the overall look of the film. Wanted it to be less comic and more live action. Didn't hate but could have been so much better...

While the animation in Beowulf was visually stunning at parts, the animation harmed it more than not. The people are incredibly detailed, the men more than the women. Queen Wealthow is identical to Julie Andrews queen in shrek 2 and 3. Every strand of hair sways, every roll of fat and every muscle is detailed. The scenery is well done (when they are not in the mead hall) But when it comes to eyes and mouths, the animation really screws up. The eyes stare at you with the emptyness of a zombies, showing no emotion whatsoever. The voicecover is poor especially because the animation does not pick up facial movement well. I personally enjoeyed the plot change and felt it flowed better. The action scenes are top-notch. You have to watch it expecting to be entertained. It is not meant to be Braveheart, its meant to be a simple action movie

finally, a CG movie for adults. i avoid kids' fare like kung fu panda so i hope more movies like this will be produced in the future. this could pass for an "R" rating and caters to more grown up tastes. creative action sequences, rousing score, and more than capable voice acting make "Beowulf" a classic in my book.

Great adaptation of the Beowulf story. Beautiful CGI animation. High-definition picture quality is outstanding. You'll love it if you like the Beowulf storyline. Plenty of special features if you're into that. Excellent Blu-ray package. Recommended.

The movie is beautiful. It doesnt hurt that Angelina Jolie is in the film. She is simply stunning. The graphics are top noth and look amazing in HD

im going to make this short and simple. Beowulf is an amazing movie, the whole thing was awsome, the graphics were my favorite part of the movie . i would recomend this movie to who ever is into this type of movie !!!

While I thought Beowulf looked great on bluray, I also felt the movie strayed far too much from the story. I often expect a movie to stray from a book, (or epic, in this case) but from defeating Grendel on, Beowulf the movie was utterly different from the story. While it was entertaining, it was disappointing at the least to see such a vast amount of change on a timeless story.

This movie was beautiful in the theaters. I can only imagine how awesome it will look and sound on HD DVD. Order this now!!! Also get a surround sound system that takes advantage of HD dvd's capabilities if you have not done so yet!!

This movie could have been a lot better, and it definitely should have been better. The only reason I didn't rate it lower is because of the visuals and Ray Winstone. To tell the truth, I haven't talked to many people who have loved this movie all the way.

The best part of the whole movie was Angelina Jolie other than that it was a over priced cartoon movie. There was no real plot to follow. It was just a very bad made movie

I think this movie would have been better if the plot and voice acting were up to par.Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie doing their characters in the movie was kind of a miss.But the 3D animation and blood and gore were really good.It reminds me of the boy who cried wolf people told me this movie was good,but when I saw it,I got tricked.
