Berserk is one of the greats & is is fantastically put together Anime. The English dubbing is almost flawless. Sometimes I believe that the illustrators make a version in Japanese and a Version that can be “dubbed” in English, because most all new Anime (Like this one) has near perfect dubbing. Not like the old Kung Fu Films we the character says something only to have the lips still moving after they are done speaking! Brilliant Show Period!

Was never a huge fan of Berzerk. However, watching these 3 films on Netflix I was blown away by the overall quality of animation, story and production value. I had to own them. Worth repeat viewings. Extremely violent at times with some sexual themes. The 3 films are compelling and a must watch for any anime or fantasy film fan.

I picked up my copy of Berserk because I was looking for some new anime and I thought the cover looked pretty cool. After reading a few positive reviews online, and because the price for this collection was more reasonable than a lot of anime on disc I decided to go for it. I was blown away by the richness of the colors, the way the characters moved in the fantastic fight scenes, and the great voice acting. The story is gripping, and at times will have you on the edge of your seat. That said, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc is comprised of 3 feature length anime films derived from a long-running Japanese manga (comic book) series. While the first film and a good portion of the second are mostly standard medieval action fare, at the end of the second film and especially in the third the tone of the series becomes much darker. While I thoroughly enjoyed Berserk, it is not at all for children and has some disturbing scenes that will unsettle some viewers. If that doesn't bother you however, and you are a fan of anime and medieval style combat, this film collection will blow you away!

Berserk as a manga in general should be checked out. The fact that it's still up and swing since 1989 is proof enough. *WARNING* The is a dark manga, so it translates to the three movies

this version is only second to the original anime series. very good just wish it was series instead of 3 films. still great just buckle up for the third film, it get dark real quick.

Tho not as detailed as the original TV series, it gives a good summary of the major events of the Golden age arc!

Berserk is an awesome anime for its character and plot. But it's a little dark for some viewers.

I am so glad to have this on Blu-ray and hope to have the original series on blu-ray some day.

Great artwork, very true to the original storyline. A great summarization without having to watch the terrible 2017 series.

This series on BluRay is a must have for any self-proclaimed anime enthusiast.

This is a great collection and definitely worth owning if you liked the movies.

Before watching this movie collection, I watched the anime and thoroughly enjoyed it but it felt incomplete. Watching the movie gives a great summary of the entire anime series with updated animation and has a more complete story. Personally I highly recommend just watching this movie collection over the anime. This series ended up being one of my favorite.

These three movies are an excellent retelling and consolidation of the original manga, which was adapted into a prior anime series from the 90's. For Berserk fans, the movies include the major plot points from the Golden Age Arc in the manga, with familiar visuals from the anime. Only major changes were some tweaking of the character and object designs to make them look more realistic and not with typical anime style. Non-fans or new fans may have to pause due to the fast pace, but they can keep up and will be able to figure out what is going on. The combination of traditional animation and CGI were done very nicely.

*Spoiler alert* This is the remake and additional footage from original TV series looooooooooooong time ago. Originally the TV series suddenly ended on middle of story. but this remade collection has all the main story. so you don't need to worry about understanding the storyline with this. only con is the end of this movie is the beginning of the Berserk story. This contains 3 movies with 3 Blu-rays. If you are Berserk fan, you have to get it. If you like the gore and realistic anime, you gotta get this. Especially if you are huge fan of comic book, you can't miss this.

I own the individual 3 Berserk movies already. This was a purchase for my brother who has seen all 3 and loved them. This is a great way to introduce the series to a newcomer giving them all 3 movies for 1 low price. If you love berserk and don't have the movies this is a great starting place.
