It looks great, fits nice in a standard wall box and works exactly as intended. The only thing i can fault it for (not worth dropping a star because it is built that way) is that it is basically a one time protection. What i mean is if it trips and catches a surge from what ive read it trips and has no way to reset so your outlet is just bad and needs replaced. I sent a message to the vendor to ask if it is fused or a breaker and havent heard back but for the price and how easy it is to install replacing this once or twice is still way cheaper than replacing a console or a tv. Peace of mind without extra cables or power strips is nice and makes it look much cleaner for the ocd cable guys like me.

I bought this device as surge protection for my Sony XBR-55X950G TV in the "main" guest room of my house. I lost one Sony TV due to a power surge, so I didn't want that to happen again! This device was easy to install into a wall outlet box and is now protecting this TV. So, I would definitely recommend you purchase one to protect your TV or other electronics from damaging power surges.

Purchased the Best Buy essentials 2 outlet in wall surge protector to replace the standard wall outlet that our previous Keurig was plugged into that suffered minor damage to the display during a lightning and thunderstorm. We purchased a new Keurig and I wasn’t about to risk damage to it. Also I found it somewhat inconvenient, plugging and un-plugging it from the wall outlet. Installation of the 2 outlet in wall surge protector was a breeze and now I can leave the Keurig plugged into the outlet without and worries or concerns during a Florida electrical and thunderstorms. The only issue with it, is that it’s very difficult to plug into the wall outlets, not sure if this is a safety feature or a design flaw. However, because they were on clearance, Best Buy had them priced right.

I'm using this to protect my Wifi extender/repeater as who really wants to have a big long power strip taking up all your countertop real estate? First, for safety's sake, be sure to ask a professional electrician to assist with the installation. Mine seems to be working great so I have a little piece of mind as any of the wifi internet router stuff is uber-sensitive to any kind of voltage surges.

Needed to add a receptable to hide the wires for a wall mounted tv I purchased from Best Buy. This surge protector receptacle was on clearance plus I needed to use a $20 Best Buy Rewards certificate. For a bit more than the cost of a standard receptacle, I now have (hopefully) some protection for my new tv. Like a ceiling fan control switch, this receptacle is deeper so it's a bit of a squeeze in the box. Hoping it does the job.

This project probably took 20 minutes from finding the right breaker box switch, to installation, and cleaning up. I feel much better having this outlet in my garage and connecting my tool bench power strip to this outlet.

Before I started looking for this In Wall surge protector, I didn't know it existed. We were able to put it behind a hanging TV in our bedroom. Cheers to hopes that this TV doesn't die due to a surge issue. Install was easy too - no brainer here!

They’re nice and good price pretty high joules for in the wall. Used them for fridge, stove and wall mounted tv’s. They’re great for electronics you want to protect but keep as close to wall as possible.

I’m remodeling a room I rent out. So I gave this to the handyman he said it was easy to swap out and use. It’s my first time buying this I hope to invest in more of these outlets.

The plug is standard, it is well made and looks nice. My only issue was that it didn't really fit in the box for it because it is a bit bigger. That wasnt an issue for me because it was in the basement

Bought 2 more of these after I had a lightning strike in my driveway this summer. It saved my tv. I had 2 tvs that didn't make it because they didn't have the same protection.

I guess it works. It could be just a receptacle with a green light. If the house burns down and that's the only thing left standing I'll be glad to write another review

Great way to have extra peace of mind. Even has an led indicator to let you know of the status of the outlet.

Works great for a clean surge protection option. I wish the joule rating was a little higher however.

Works for garage door openers. Couldn’t find a slim and small surge protector, this fit the bill.

This wall 2 outlet surge protector is the best. It fit perfectly into the outlet box I had to replace.
