It’s been only a week & i can say it’s amazing & dont have to rely on a charger since one day charge of this can charge my iPhone 14 twice but when at 40% idk if it can go lower but also it has a really good magnetic you gotta pull on it just to take it off & i have cover making this more reliable also it comes with a back stand so i can watch videos while charging.

A very good product for your work is to be away from home for a long time, I am an Uber driver and the truth is that it helps me a lot in my daily life, it has a good magnet so you can be sure that it will not fall or stop charging, what I do recommend is a cover for the magnet, I recommend it 100%, and for the price it seems excellent. And a good detail is that it has a stand to put it on the table to watch your movies or YouTube videos, very good.

Great for the value. It does heat the phone up quite a bit, however, since my charging port stopped working this has been essential.

Portable magnetic wireless charger. Connects right on the back of your magnetic phone. I have the iPhone 15 which is magnetic but I have a magnetic case as well. I love the fact that you don’t have to use a cord to charge your phone on the go!!!! #Awesome

I love the convenience of being able to charge my phone and not having any cords plugged in to the charger. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cord that came to charge the battery pack is short and not a typical USB-C cord that I can use a cord I already have. Other than that I love it!

Bought this to try out and im really impressed by the quality. Its not apple level quality but it gets really close. Theres a lot of detail put into the charger so that i lt fits with the apple design language without looking like a cheap knock off. Gotta charge before you use it the first time. Definitely recomemend.

Not sure I can recommend this charger. Best But dropped the ball on this one. The charger only wirelessly charges about 30-40% and then stops. Won’t recharge again. I’ve let it charge itself overnight and it’ll still have a glowing green light in the morning. After about 5 cycles of this, it is now blinking red and I don’t understand why it’s like this. Will be returning for a better quality product, possibly Anker.

Pros: * Magnetically couples to a compatible phone. * More than 3x the capacity of the OEM MagSafe battery. * Can also power a wired device or a qi-compatible device. * Kickstand works well in both portrait and landscape. Cons: * No battery gauge during charging or while using as a charger; just a simple single-LED. * Larger and heavier than the OEM MagSafe battery (but has larger capacity). * Charges an iPhone slower than the OEM MagSafe battery. Setup: It’s an external backup battery so the setup is simple; just plug it in to charge the built-in battery so you can use it to later charge your other devices when an outlet and USB charger are not handy. This battery came with a USB-C-to-C cable but you need to supply your own USB adapter. You’ll need to plug it in to your USB adapter of choice and the manual recommends one of at least 15W. There is a single LED on the side to indicate battery status. It will throb green while charging the internal battery and turn solid green when fully charged. There is no percentage shown; it’s either charging or done. Once fully charged, just unplug it and take the battery with you for when your phone or other devices need some juice. Typical Usage: This battery’s primary function is to charge a compatible iPhone wirelessly via the MagSafe connection on the back of the phone. Just snap the battery on the back and your phone will start charging (may need to wake up the battery by pressing its single button). If you have other things to charge, you can instead plug a cable in to the USB-C port to charge just about anything else. This battery is also compatible with most devices that charge via the qi standard; just flip the battery over and place your qi device on the top centered on the circle. When used as a MagSafe charger with a compatible iPhone, the phone will display its normal charging status as if it were plugged in to a wire, but the phone will not fully integrate with the battery as it would with the OEM MagSafe charger. The only way to check the power level of the battery itself is by looking at the single LED on its button; tap the button while it’s charging your device and the LED will turn green for 5 seconds if the power level is OK or red if the battery is getting low. I personally prefer a multi-LED battery gage to show the status of charging the battery or how much power is left while using the battery to charge your device, but the single LED is good enough. You can connect two devices at the same time; one via MagSafe or qi and the other via a wire, but only one device will charge at a time. The wired device will charge to full first, then the wireless (MagSafe or qi) will charge with the remaining battery power. There is no mention in the manual of whether you can plug the battery in to a USB adapter while charging a device wirelessly, but from testing, it appears that the battery can be charging while it is also being used to charge a device wirelessly. Of course, doing this means that you can only charge a wireless device (MagSafe or qi) while charing the battery itself. The built-in kickstand stores flat against the back of the battery and is relatively easy to pop open. You can prop the phone up in either Portrait or Landscape orientation with the kickstand out. Due to the orientation of the kickstand and the way the battery attaches to the back of the phone, Landscape orientation is only possible with the top of the phone to the left side and you cannot use the kickstand in Portrait while a cable is plugged into the battery. BTW, the OEM MagSafe battery doesn’t even have a kickstand feature, so this is a plus. Conclusion: This battery feels solid, works well and attaches securely to a compatible iPhone. The built-in kickstand is convenient and sturdy. This battery can charge your devices via MagSafe, qi or a USB-C cable. The battery is more than 3 times the capacity of the OEM MagSafe battery, but is larger and heavier and the features for battery level while charging or being charged are more rudimentary. Overall, a good value for the tradeoffs.

Decent value wireless charger w/few irksome quirks

I generally like the Essentials line of products; they typically provide a decent value as cost-effective alternatives to similarly featured competitor products. In this case, however, there were just a few cut corners or cost-saving measures that seem too glaring to overlook. Bottom line--if you want a portable Magsafe/wireless charging pack, this one *does* offer those features at a price well below the competition, but I'm not sure beyond the basic features that there's anything surprising or stellar to write home about. In terms of construction, the battery pack is "nicely portable" with a somewhat diminutive size and smooth edges that makes it easy to tote around in a bag or pocket without feeling too bulky or heavy. That said, the battery pack is also fairly light and thus might easily be knocked off tables or chairs and it doesn't necessarily feel substantial enough to survive much of a fall. Time will tell, but I wouldn't recommend using it in situations where it might be subject to quite a bit of punishment--and taking it camping or to the beach might be just a bit risky as the shell features just enough offsets and small gaps in the seams between plastic parts that you might risk getting a little water or dust inside if used in harsher or more austere environments. The charging surface is marked with a shiny bit of embossed plastic that is really only visible when reflecting ambient lights--this gives the whole pack a sleek, uncluttered appearance that definitely compliments Apple's generic "iDevice aesthetic." There is one power button on the side of the device that also features an LED to communicate various status indicators such as charging success, battery level (sort of), or charging issues (metal on the magnetic plate, overheating, etc.). A 2-position fold-out kickstand on the back conveniently allows you to view your phone hands-free while it is charging. The magnetic charging plate itself is plenty strong--I could suspend the battery pack upside down by the phone with or without a Magsafe case installed and the pack would not detach and fall. Wireless charging does make the pack get a bit warm (which is normal), but not egregiously so--only the area around the kickstand got warm enough to warrant changing my grip after it had been charging my phone for a while. Along with Magsafe charging for my iPhone 12, I was also able to charge my Jabra earbuds using a wireless charging case...nice! The single USB-C port on the bottom is used to charge an attached device or for charging the battery pack itself (no charger is included however). As for performance and use, this is where things started missing the target just a bit. - The kickstand only supports keeping your phone in landscape view--this is fine if you're watching a Netflix stream or something like that and want to keep the phone's battery topped off, but the kickstand is placed so close to the bottom of the pack that the weight of an attached phone pulls the whole setup forward until the phone and battery pack are completely upright/perpendicular and balancing on their bottom edges. Those of you who were hoping for a combination stand/charger for portrait mode FaceTime calls or vlogging will need to look elsewhere. - The included USB-C to USB-C cable is only 14" long--this is an ideal size for charging an attached device on the go, but likely not long enough to use in many situations where you need to reach a more substantial wall charger, especially because the manual recommends a 15W minimum charging block for this battery pack. I don't know about you, but that's rated just a bit higher than most of the random/spare wall chargers we have amassed and left lying around over the years. - According to a product rep's answer in the Q&A section of the Best Buy website, this battery pack features a low-voltage charging mode for things like Airpods or an Apple Watch (press the power button twice), but this is documented nowhere in the manual--so unless you happened to have read that bit of Q&A (or this review), I have to wonder if using the pack in "regular voltage mode" would otherwise be harmful to such devices. My guess is probably not given that most pricey consumer electronics can smartly regulate their own charging/charge levels, but then why bother including such a mode at all? Once more, the manual mentions nothing about this feature and provides no cautions or directions to the user for charging such devices. - The LED status indicator is not very informative. The green LED pulses when the pack is being charged and goes solid when fully charged--that much is great. And when you power up the pack and start charging a device, the LED glows green for 5 seconds before turning off, which is nice if you don't want an intrusive LED burning away on your nightstand in a totally darkened room. But there are simply no other indications of just how full the battery pack is at any given time--I have only seen a green LED (good to go) or a flashing orange LED (pack needs charging), and there is nothing on the product or mentioned in the manual to indicate how to assess if the charge level is somewhere in between. A 3 or 4-segment charge gauge (or some LED flash patterns or a green/orange/red color scheme) is desperately needed. Oddly enough, the LED can display red, but only for charging issues/problems. - The lack of charge-level indicators becomes even more of an issue if you hope to charge two attached devices (one wireless, one wired via USB-C) because the pack cannot charge both simultaneously. Instead, it will charge the WIRED device first *and fully* before initiating wireless charging on a second device...so if you burn through most of your charge on the USB-attached device, you don't really have a good sense of just how much remaining charge you're going to get delivered through the Magsafe charging pad. This issue makes charging two devices using the same connection (one after the other) a bit uncertain as well because you have no idea how much charge you’ve got left in the pack for that second device once the first one’s battery is done cooking. - Speaking of charging, battery capacity was just a tad disappointing when using the wireless charging pad--depending on your needs/devices, you may not even get one full charge from the pack! I used a 65W charging block to completely charge the battery pack for its first official use. I was able to charge my iPhone 12 from 50% to 100% using the Magsafe charging plate in 2 hrs 45 mins, but there was only enough charge left in the pack to raise my wife's iPhone 12 battery another 20% (wirelessly) before the battery pack cut off. I let the pack recharge overnight and depleted my iPhone 12's battery down to 7%. Using the wireless charging pad the next night, I was only able to get my iPhone's battery up to 85% before the pack gave out again. As expected, things DID get a bit better going completely wired; I was able to charge my iPhone up from 8% to 100% in just over 2 hours using a USB-C to Lightning cable, with enough charge left over for another 19% bump on my wife’s iPhone battery before the pack gave out again. Of course, taking advantage of the greater recharge capacity and charging speed meant dispensing with the convenience of wireless charging…which is the primary selling point of this pack in the first place! I don't mean to sound *entirely* disappointed or overly critical--admittedly, this battery pack is a convenient and VERY cost-effective way to provide some portable wireless charging for your devices. However, while I can easily overlook some of the design and pack-in choices to keep down costs, the irritating lack of status indicators and slightly limited wireless charging capacity make this particular battery pack tough to recommend wholeheartedly unless you also place greater emphasis on price over performance/features.

This Best Buy essentials portable Power Bank is definitely worth considering if you are looking for a powerbank that is going to provide multidevice charging ability while maintaining the core function of being able to utilize Magsafe charging on devices like the new Airpod Pros and the iPhone 12's and newer. The design is very simple and clean, matching the aesthetics of most apple devices well. The kickstand is a cool feature to have. For example, if you are on a plane with the server tray in front of you, this kickstand portable charger would be perfect for setting your phone up in front of you and charging your device while you enjoy media on the phone. The 5000mAh battery is a nice capacity to be able to enable your device to laster longer throughout your day or night of use while still maintaining a compact size that makes traveling on the go a lot easier. Something I did note is that when using the magsafe charging capability, this power bank does get quite hot to the touch. Given energy transfer and thermodynamics principles, this is not shocking, but it should be noted so users will be aware ahead of time. Altogether, I really like this Best Buy Essentials power bank and the fact that it is available at well below the price of a lot of other options out there with this capacity and capability. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps you make your purchasing decision!
