I Purchased a Dell computer at Best Buy with the features I sought at a very reasonable price.
In my past purchases of new computers, the migration of data from my old to new computer was difficult and very time consuming. Best Buy Geek Squad Membership enables me to transfer Data from my prior desk top and laptops to my new computer. To have this done quickly and professionally is for me more than worth the cost of Geek Squad membership. I anticipate that I will also utilize other services provided by this membership adding to the value of the Geek Squad membership.

Overall, though expensive, it's a pretty good system, The only gripe I have is that I wish it could have included the full price of level 2 data recovery. $360.00 on a fixed social security income is a huge expense for us. I was told when I first started this that it would cover ALL LABOR. Apparently that is not the case. I would still recommend it with the caveat that it only covers certain labor on certain things.

I have used the Geek Squad twice now. the first time was excellent, very knowledgeable tech helper quickly fixed a problem. The second time? Not so good. I spent 4 hours on one day and 2.5 more hours on the second day. On the second issue, that day's initial tech helper could not figure out the problem or ways to solve it. I was left waiting on the phone the whole time. Then, when I gave up and called again on a second day.
When you call Geek Squad's number at you local store, you are immediately flipped over to a techie in a Hispanic-speaking country (Panama, Corsa Rica) with quite a bit of different English skills. Crapshoot, until you get one one you can communicate with easily.

This membership has saved me a lot time and money over the past few months. It was originally recommended to me by Geek Squad a few months back when i needed a laptop repair, and when the motherboard came back shot, it covered the cost of the attempted repairs, and the data transfer to my new laptop. The price matching has also been a big help, and i've saved money with that part of the service, on top of the savings i get on products just for being a member. Furthermore, the 24 month protections it provides on all of my Best Buy products gives me an extra layer of Security that my various products will be safe and sound! Overall I am very heppy with the membership and it has provided me a great amount of value for the time i've had it

This is a first for me, I've never needed help with one of my devices but I finally reached the push point. After speaking with one of the service technicians I made the decision to purchase the service plan on a yearly basis. All my questions were answered and everything I thought was important plus many other items the techs suggested made this purchase well worth my time and money.
The guys in Logan were super helpful and listened to my issues and solved my problems.

Best Buy use to have an insurance plan through geek squad, that was based on a percentage of the price, but with the Total membership, you pay for a full year of coverage on all products; also comes with various deals on products that are on sale, only to members. Apple items get the most love, because you get AppleCare on any devices you purchase. Instead of waiting to go through apple themselves, you simply bring it to best buy and they do the rest. Best way to say that Total is worth it, it’s the “Bestbuy” when it comes to shopping at bestbuy.

I had no idea how great this membership is until I needed it. I use my computer for my internet business and can't work without it.
I had my C: ssd drive fail. Two of my friends who are IT professionals said they could replace the drive but told me there was no way to get an image of the drive that would save me hours of work. I would need to start all over again.
I took it to Best Buy and they thought at first it might not be possible to get an image, but one of their techs said he'd try an idea he was working on to capture drive images.
They were able to image the drive and fixed my computer!
This saved my business.
If you don't have a membership GET ONE. You'll be happy you did.

I love the fact we got the 179.99 package. It feels wonderful to go into the geek squad and they solve the problem immediately. We are very happy when we go into the store cause everyone is so very friendly and supportive and knowledgeable. All the employees are expert in the whole store. We love everything we bought at Best Buy and it’s top quality and we love the wide selection of everythin* they carry.

Signed up for Best Buy Total Membership recently (few weeks ago). I have already used it twice. Easy to make apptmt for quick turnaround, and both contacts at Greece W Ridge Store in NYS (Riccardo & Remy) have been extremely helpful. They upgraded my Windows 10 to 11, suggested uninstalling a virus protector I was carrying, as it was bogging down my computer, and recommended WebRoot. I was already carrying Carbonite for backups. WebRoot was an easy addition and my computer is working much faster as well. I am very happy with the services to date.

I recently purchased the Total Membership and I could not be happier! Doesn’t matter if I walk into the store or I call the geek squad by phone; they are always so helpful and knowledgeable. I recently made a phone call for assistance on my laptop that was recently repaired and the associate not only fixed my laptop and showed me how to find my documents, but she also assisted me with getting my copier to work correctly. I thought I needed a new copier/scanner/printer, but I had not installed it correctly. That’s all it was!!! I think Best Buy has some great people working for them and I’m glad that I purchased my Total Membership. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can get help when needed!!

I have rural internet and this HP computer works very well with Cookson Hills internet. The camera features are very easy to use. I use it in my bedroom in a small closet. My daughter set it up for me as I am 80 years old and do not undertstand all its abilities. She says its far more than I will ever use. However, I do like its easy. She made short cuts for my easy to use. So far I really like just for my own personal. I am learning to do projects I have not done before. I like to review some work on line. So far nothing I dislike. Sales person Matt in Tulsa OK on 44th was the most helpful of people I talked with. Kudos.

So far, I have been VERY HAPPY with the membership and everything that comes with it. Admittedly, I know almost NOTHING about computers, I've always been intimidated by, and weary of them, but we're now living in a world where I NEED one, and I need to learn how to use it. The GEEK SQUAD personnel have been instrumental in helping me to become proficient enough to use my laptop and to take full advantage of what it is capable of helping me with. And the security that comes with KNOWING that anything that goes wrong with the computer is covered by this plan is very reassuring.

Accidentally purchased total tech care , I actually went in to purchase a 16 inch MacBook prop which I accidentally purchased for shipping online . So when I called best buy customer service instead of canceling my order and the transaction taking 3 to 5 days to repost to my account they changed my order to pick up I went to the store and they didn't have it stock and available which at that point I called customer service back to see what my options were all of which included canceling so to my hesitation I did so only to come to the realization my cancellation turned into turned into a total tech purchase thank you for reading my rant

While I didn't initially sign up for Total, it's a reality that technology break and needs repair. This can be an expensive consequence, and it is fortunate to have a membership that covers these costs. I ended up spending hundreds less than I would have otherwise just by signing up! The service was great, the Geek Squad was helpful, and my laptop is working better than ever! While I haven't yet had a chance to sample all the membership perks yet, I still recommend this service to anyone who has electronics they need to keep in working order.
