Just the 2 years of free apple care, makes up for the price of the membership by itself.... If you buy ONE apple product a year, it makes you whole.
"Membership just for the right to shop" sounds weird at first, but the member only deals are pretty good when they are on products you need, but if you are thinking about this membership and DON'T buy at least one major purchase (phone, computer, TV, Appliances, etc) a year, then it won't add up to be worth it, the major appliances and expensive tech is where the savings really add up.
Protection plans on everything (including apple care) by default is amazing piece of mind, needed to use it twice last year, but keep in mind it's only included while the subscription is active, so no "get it for this purchase then cancel it" workarounds.

The Total Tech Membership has been worth every penny. It takes all the stress out of owning new tech...setup, support, protection, and even returns feel effortless. Any time I’ve needed help, the service has been fast, friendly, and actually useful. It’s great knowing I can walk into any Best Buy and get priority support without jumping through hoops. The included protection plan alone pays for itself, and the discounts on services and installations are a huge bonus. Whether you’re upgrading your PC, adding accessories, or setting up a new device, Total Tech makes the whole experience smoother and more convenient and just gives me peace of mind. This membership is an easy recommendation. I’m extremely happy with it.

I have always been able to fix PC problems on my own. But when my wife who is a gamer started having freeze ups in a a game I finally ran into a brick wall. I signed up for Best Buy Total to use the Geek Squad. I was impressed with their service. The techs are friendly and very skilled. I had not spent much time in Best Buy's for years, but using the Geek Squad I discovered that Best Buy has the best deals on electronics and appliances! I check out in store specials whenever I am there, and I like the emails on their deals. Staff is very friendly and NO pressure sales people. Plus they have a clean rest room!

The Best Buy yearly membership has been worth it for me. The perks add up fast, especially the member pricing, extra savings, and the convenience of easier support when I need it. I buy a decent amount of tech each year, so having ongoing benefits makes the purchases feel like a better value instead of just paying full price every time.
It also makes the overall experience smoother. Less friction, better deals, and more confidence when buying bigger ticket items. If you shop at Best Buy more than a couple times a year, the membership can easily pay for itself.

I always buy all of my products from Best Buy. I have never had anything less than the best customer service no matter what area I go in the knowledge of everyone there is so awesome from management owned down to the employees. I love Best Buy and I hope that I do get a chance to win this $400 gift card. I just moved in my home and I am needing more things for it. I will only use Best Buy I trust the warranties. I trust what they show me to use as far as any equipment. Sometimes I come in. I feel so lost. They help me they show me how to use whatever I am buying. I appreciate the fact that they even take care of me the way they do. I recently bought a washer and dryer. It is so beautiful a dream come true for me because it’s the pair that like thank you to all the employees for always being so kind

I wasn’t sure if My Best Buy Total would be worth it at first, but it ended up being more helpful than I expected. The biggest thing for me is not having to stress about protection on my devices. Electronics are expensive, and knowing repairs or issues are easier to deal with gives peace of mind. I’ve also used the tech support, and it saved me time instead of trying to figure everything out myself.
It’s probably not necessary if you only buy something once in a while, but if you have multiple devices like headphones, a laptop, or gaming stuff, it makes more sense. Overall, I like the convenience and the feeling that my stuff is covered.

I purchased a flash drive along with a Best Buy Membership, and the process was seamless. So far, and I've only been a Total Member for less than 6 weeks (became a member because my daughter had do send her computer out for service), and it has saved me $$! As well as the headache of setting up my new computer for me, and the deciding factor of purchasing it was because I had already become a member, and it is a freebie perk. My phone is old, as well, so now I'm thinking of a new one . . . hmmmmmm. I love the convenience and the savings! The only reason that I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because, even with an appointment, it's hard to get anyone's attention. But when they're there, they're great!

My Best Buy Total is genuinely useful if you actually buy tech regularly. The extended warranty and protection plans are the real value here. I have already saved money on repairs and replacements that would have cost more than the membership itself. Geek Squad support is convenient and removes a lot of friction when something goes wrong.
That said, this membership is not magic. If you rarely buy electronics or only shop once a year, it is probably not worth it. Some benefits feel redundant and Best Buy could be clearer about what is truly included versus what sounds better on paper.

I didn’t get this membership just for discounts. I got it for peace of mind. What surprised me the most is how much the membership has actually saved me time, not just money.
A few months ago, one of my devices started acting up right in the middle of a deadline. I walked into Best Buy expecting a long wait, but being a Total member changed the entire experience. I was helped immediately, they diagnosed the issue on the spot, and I left the store feeling like I had my own tech team.
The part I appreciate most is the consistency. Every time I think I’ve already gotten my “value” out of the membership, something else happens . a price drop refund, a free service I didn’t know I had, or a perk that makes a purchase easier. It feels like the membership works in the background for me even when I’m not thinking about it.
It’s rare that something you pay for actually lowers your stress, but this one does. That’s why I keep it.

This is the Best Electronics Deal in the US. You get a 2-year accident warranty on everything. Listen to me, every year you will debate renewing but just do it. I buy all my electronics at Best Buy and everything has a two year warranty. The plan pays for itself as stuff breaks. My sons headphones just broke, walked in to Best Buy and walked out with a new pair 10 minutes later. Xbox controllers are $25 but thats fair. They break in 5 months and Best Buy basically replaces them at their cost. My dyson vacuum is protected, all our earbuds. I can enjoy my stuff more when I don't worry about it breaking

I love being able to get the work I need done on my computers without being overcharged. I do however, have issue with buying a new Mac and being told I could not get the 20 minute instructional on the Mac when I was picking up a computer that had a hard drive erased, another that was to have its drive moved to the Mac, and picking up the Mac (that did not have set up the apps I requested) that was not ready. Only to be told I had to set up another appointment when an in-person agent originally set up the appointment knew my situation and assured me I would be given a 20 minute lesson on the Mac. One agent tried to be as helpful as possible as the other was trying to rid of me. In the end I was asked if we were I was good (my first Mac). I asked how to shut it off. That should be at the basic of instruction. Just because they know does not mean I know. Most of the techs were wonderful, but one ruined my experience. When I asked how to shut it off, I think she realized I was clueless and really needed help. Instead I found a place on my Mac that walks me through some of the basic issues and have reached out to friends or You Tube for other concerns. Something that could have been explained by the techs in a 20 minute walk through. After spending that much money and telling them my fears of transitioning to a Mac from a PC, they should have been more understanding.
Get if for a big purchase. Keep it for a year or 2

I originally signed up for the Best Buy Total membership mainly for the warranty coverage and the extended return policy. It’s a yearly membership, and you get one year of warranty when you first sign up, with a second year added if you renew—but the warranty does not extend beyond two years, even if you continue renewing after that. That limitation aside, I’ve genuinely enjoyed and made good use of the price protection feature. Being refunded the difference when items go on sale shortly after purchase has saved me money multiple times. Because of that, I’m comfortable paying for a second year. After that second year, though, I struggle to see much incentive to keep the membership unless additional long-term benefits are offered.

I have been a Total Tech member for years mainly for Geek Squad services. I am not a computer expert by any stretch and relie heavaly on Geek Squad Selinsgrove. Big shout out to Agent Carr and Morgana. I have seen many agents come and go but they keep my computers going. Only negative is I am 25 miles away one way and after dropping a unit off, the in a day or two its another 25 mies to pick it up. But that`s part of it. Another great thing about Total Tech is I think 90 day returns instead of 15. There are many other perks to being a TT member. I urge everyone to talk to a Best Buy sales staff person to get low down on Total Tech. Wouldn`t be without it!
