I usually say this is the BEST TOP Value. I had to have Geek Squad out to work on my computer, connect 2 TVs & fix my CD player to where I could play music 24/7 I had to pay $286+++ dollars & the TV's work but my computer still has some issues & the CD player worked until they drove off. I went into the BEST Buy & talked to Geek Squad & the technician said it depends on the manager. i asked for the Geek Squad to return as I had 30 days & even sent in 2 requests No one showed up and no one contacted me and I spent all that $$$ for jobs incomplete. This is the first time my Warranty did not pay off.

This membership is worth every penny; I was trying to download Microsoft Office on my own without any experience in doing so. My time and stress were not factored in. The yearly membership covers any software updates required for a year, but also any trouble shooting that is required. The technician also gave me advice on a universal remote for my TV and a thumb drive to save photos that fit with my MacBook Pro. One stop shopping and no stress. Highly recommend it.

It has been a great thing for me. It helps me get things fast when need if i have problem with one of my electronics or brake a screen protect and with kids I've had to replace several screen protectors for free so its sved me money.

The sales representative, Big Kev was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He recommended me upgrading to a better Samsung TV that was on sale, along with other products that complemented the unit.
Johnnie and Aleea did an excellent job installing the TV. Johnnie recommended other products to enhance the installation. He went over every detail. His expertise is first rate and should be commended. It was perfect and we are very pleased.
So if you are in the market for a TV or any other products, I would highly recommend you purchase them at Best Buy.

I was hesitant on buying this membership, but looking back throughout the year… I have bought a lot of tech stuff that could definitely benefit from Best Buy membership. My dad is a huge tech nerd, and has mentioned some of the killer stuff he has bought at an extremely low price through member deals which ultimately ends up paying for itself. Looking forward to saving money, and security through the enhanced warranty they offer.

If you are not real good with computers, this is a great membership to have. Online chat is available if you need help or you can talk with an agent too. The membership also has many perks like free delivery, free setup and in some cases extended warranty. When you buy large items like a refrigerator, you can get a discount. Buy some items and if they fail, you can get it replaced for free.

We bought an Alienware laptop in August 2025 from Best Buy with $500 Geek Squad 4 years of service, in late November 2025 it had a critical video card failure. We took it to geek squad desk and they made me buy this so they could reinstall the OS after we told them it was hardware failure. But since it was still under warranty we didn’t want to crack open the laptop and fix it ourselves (well…my husband who’s an IT guru for a large bank and could fix it would have been the one to do it). Of course the OS reinstall didn’t fix it and the guy from Geek Squad called and left a vmail and said they’d reimburse this $194 because it ended up being hardware failure and they had to send it out to be repaired. But we were required to come back to the store prior. When we got there they wouldn’t reimburse it, and they had to send it out and said it’d be two weeks and we’re into week 3 and the laptop is still waiting for parts and our daughter is trying to run heavy duty CAD programs off of a el crappo old laptop from high school while we wait. And once it’s fixed they won’t send it to the Best Buy near her university, but they will send it to our home one…which means one of us will have to drive it out to her hundreds of miles away. Silver lining…get to see our college student. So…was this a good purchase. Not for us.

Purchasing Total Tech was the best and smartest thing I've ever done. With Total Tech. I've had the Geek Squad set up or troubleshoot several of my computers which is included. The service has saved me many headaches as well as dollars. I am constantly amazed by all that is included.

We have not had to use our membership yet, but we did get very good advice from the Geek Squad when we needed their help. We did change from McAfee to Webroot for better peace of mind concerning our laptop. Thank you Geek Squad.

I was on the fence about the cost but membership has already paid for itself. The discounts are great, the built-in protection and coverage on basically everything I buy is great. It saves me from worrying about extra warranties every time I’m at the register. If you shop at Best Buy even a few times a year, it’s definitely worth it.

Glad i got this total tech. You get 60 days on returns if you dont like something and its not working out for you. You aslo have 2 years protection on all dvices you buy so if something breaks you can bring it in. Might have to pay $50 after 60 days but its better than spending $100’s again on a mew product.

Had appointment on 2/6/26 at 2 PM (first time with Geek Squad). Waited about 15 extra minutes. The reason for the appointment was concerning issues related to the purchase of new cell phones and service by a new provider (all through Best Buy). The problems went unresolved; in fact, I later corrected the issue on my phone outside of Geek Squad's assistance (or lack thereof). The tech seemed more concerned about going over the allotted 20 minutes (we were unaware of any time limitation), than resolving the concerns. We received some helpful information related to one of the two phones; however, the process is tedious. By the way, the only reason for the Geek Squad purchase was that Best Buy would have charged $80.00 each for setting up two new phones; (outrageous, in the first place). For just a few more dollars, we could purchase Geek Squad services for one year; which we did.
It can be really frustrating to have to wait longer than expected for a repair and not get the experience you were looking for. I was very satisfied with my Total Tech membership. I thought is was a good thing to have when problems arise. Now I am not so sure. I was able to bring my laptop in to the GEEK SQUAD and they would help or fix the problem. Now my new laptop has only a 2 year free service and then there is a monthly charge. The Total membership seem to go up and the services that were included now have to be paid for. On the reccomendation of recommending Total memebership there should be a MAYBE to check off.

I think if you shop here a lot you could get a lot of use out of this membership. The 60 day return is a lot more useful than you think. Especially if you’re buying something expensive it really is worth it to have a backup plan. The hassle isn’t worth what you have to deal with if you’re outside the return period.

Great membership value for those that aren't overly technical and have several Phones, Laptops, Computers, and IPads in the home. Had my laptop factory reset with no loss of files and added Webroot to six devices with no service fees at all. Quick turn around and now a month later, everything is running fine and well protected

At first I was hesitant about the annual cost but thought better of it after considering the benefits or repair/ replacement, the embarrassment of purchasing a high tech item then stopping short of complete coverage beyond the manufactures warranty

Personally I’m a impulse shopper and a soft touch around the holidays
