I was looking to upgrade my subwoofer for my home theater system. I am running an older Okyo r330 AVR from a home theater in a box. I have upgraded all of the speakers to Klipsch reference series and bought a 10inch Klipsch reference subwoofer. Unfortunately I could not use the Klipsch subwoofer being that the AVR was only designed to run the passive subwoofer that came with the set. The Klipsch subwoofer only had a LFE input and would not work properly with a line level converter. So I decided to look for an alternative subwoofer. That had high level inputs as well as the LFE. I came across this BIC H100II. I liked the look of it because it closely matches the look of my other Klipsch reference speakers. After reading reviews and watching videos on YouTube I decided to go with it. It arrived to my local Best Buy in less then a week, and setup was easy plug and play. My fist impression was how nice it looked with its black lacquered top and almost copper colored woofer cone. I use my system mostly for video games and movies as well as music. I can say in the area of sound quality this is an excellent subwoofer for the price. It will drop low and sounds great for all types of music and action scenes in movies. You can definitely feel the low frequency rumble from explosions and gun fire in movies and games and I would even say when listening to music it is a musical subwoofer clean deep and accurate and still be punchy for rock music. That being said it does tend to slightly struggle in frequency ranges below 30hz you can still freel it and hear it but it's not as pronounced as it would be with a higher end subwoofer. Remember this is only rated at 150w RMS 500w peak. But it definitely fills my 20x30 room with clean deep bass easily and provides the sound and output I was looking for.

I love my new BIC America subwoofer. It provides strong, deep bass with even frequency response. It automatically powers on and off. It has a beautiful gloss black top finish. The feature that I like the most is that it works with a traditional stereo receiver. It has high level (speaker level) inputs and outputs that connect to the speaker outputs of a regular stereo receiver and the inputs of left and right front speakers. It has low pass and high pass crossover networks that send low frequencies to the subwoofer, and upper bass to high frequencies to the left and right front speakers. This saved me from having to purchase a surround sound receiver. I am very happy with this subwoofer.

I bought this to replace an identical sub that I purchased in 2006 and it lasted 9 years. I have to adjust the volume down 50% or the pictures will fall off of my wall. You won't find a better sub for the money in my opinion.

It is almost a month now. Sub is really great. I now realize what I missed, all these days without a dedicated sub. Also I clearly find a big difference compared to my inbuilt subs from Def tech..this inspired me to buy another one to make my theatre set a great 7.2 system. Without any doubt, it is best value for money. Until now, never in the last 8 years, my neighbor said anything, who shares a common wall, but after adding this sub, day one he asked me, what is that rumbling sound from your house, I always hear? Cool one. I should have bought the 1000watts one. Sub us a bit bulky, but I found a nice place for it.

I bought this subwoofer based on reviews I'd seen that recommended it. I was not able to listen to the speaker before buying it, but Best Buy has a good return policy, so I wasn't worried,
I like a clean, natural bass sound. Some subwoofers are boomy, and others are too thin. This one is just right, and has the capacity to reproduce loud sounds (like explosions) without rattling. Acoustic music requires a more delicate response, especially the sound of a string bass, and this speaker does very with those sounds as well.
I replaced an old 10" subwoofer that died, and this one is a bit bitter than that one was. You might want to verity that this one will fit in the space you have available.

I purchased a full Klipsch surround sound system but struggled paying nearly $500 for the Klipsch subwoofer. I found this BIC America subwoofer at the Best Buy website and saw the reviews and price and decided to take the gamble. This subwoofer rocks the house and bring goosebumps when the movie is played. All the other reviews are correct! I would recommend this subwoofer to anyone interested in completing their system. I am a huge fan of the lower sounds/rumble and have the volume on the back of the sub turned down to 4. Any higher and the windows start to shake. Love this!!

My subwoofer of twenty years finally craped out so I needed a new one. This one fit all my requirements perfectly. I wanted it to be 12 inches, and I needed it to have speaker inputs/outputs because my amp does not have subwoofer out. However this speaker does have LFE in. So in the future when my amp of 29 years finally gives up the ghost, I can get a 2.1 type amp and convert over to LFE and do away with the speaker hook up. The sound is great, an improvement over my old JBL. $250 for a sub of this quality is a bargain.

I own an older klipish that I paid $700 for and a JBL that was $450. This sub puts them to shame. I'm powering 4 speakers with a powered Mackie mixer which is rated 600W a channel into2 ohms with a 9 band equilizer. I ceiling mounted 2 Elac 6.2 s and 2 KRK studio moniters all aimed directly at my couch. I also mounted 2 kicker 6 by 9s in the ceiling above the couch powered by another amp. It 's like having the band in my room.

I hesitated in making this purchase because the brand name was unknown to me. My previous two subwoofers were known brand names and quit working. I am glad I made this purchase. I am hearing subwoofer sounds I did not hear on my previous two subwoofers. The BIC subwoofer is so sensitive that it enables me to hear the wind blowing in the background of TV scenes. The BIC allows you to adjust the +dB. The subwoofer sounds produced comes out in the Blu-Rays, streaming music and programs, along with the television and radio stations I watch and listen to. The BIC subwoofer did not disappoint me in anyway. In addition, the BIC subwoofer is priced less at this time than well known comparable brand names and has a 7 year manufacturer warranty whom I called and had a response to an installation questions within 24 hours from calling. I am totally satisfied with my purchase.

I love this sub. Shakes walls. Best for movies/surround sound. Also great for music. I did not know anything about BIC America but i am glad i took a chance. Very powerful. I love unexpected shakes of sofa :)
I hooked it up to my Yamaha receiver and four Polk Audio speakers. So, i have 5.1 system but with this sub - it is more than enough.

This is a very nice home theater subwoofer. The enclosure is really good quality and has a sophisticated looks with a gloss black top and front piece. The sub quality is really good and puts out really good bass, enough to shake the walls. The amp gets pretty warm when you start pushing it for long periods, so it's good to keep it where air can get to the back of it. It is a large enclosure and states that it will sound the best in a corner. Really good buy for the cost in comparison to some higher end subwoofers with equal wattage.

I bought this sub-woofer to upgrade my older Yamaha that came with my Yamaha HTR 5930 surround sound also purchased at Best Buy. Wow this unit has some very clean low bass that I was not expecting. Now with the addition on the BIC H-100II my Yamaha surround has new life and sounds great. Only reason for not giving it a 5 star as I Have not owned for very long. This is a great sub-woofer!

I love this subwoofer! It hits the lows that I was hoping for. The cheaper Polk I bought just didn't get down low enough and was noticeable in my music. I returned it and purchased the BIC and am VERY happy with it. Clean sound, not boomy.

My Lifestyle 35 Sub broke down completely so I eliminated the Sub & Amp and kept the Satelite speakers hoping I can still use it. I tried the Yamaha Amp first but it sounded like a tin can. It's an awful sound. Everyone is saying that the Bose Satelite speakers will not work with any other amp aside from Bose. Well, this proves them wrong. I gave the Denon AVR 750W a try and I was amazed it sounded great. I used the BIC America 12' 500W H100II Sub and it's a perfect match. I'm very happy with my purchase of Denon AVR 750W and the BIC America sub. Highly recommended especially if you want to reuse your existing Bose satelite speakers.
