The best vacuum!!

I read a lot of reviews about this vacuum before purchasing and kept reading the same thing...that it is heavy. It is heavy but it isn't like you are going to be carrying it around so I don't understand that problem. Pushing it is no big deal. It really, really gets the pet hair, dainder and everything else out of your carpet and furniture. I was amazed the first time I used it how much it picked up.

This vacuum is awesome. I read all of the reviews and was excited that everyone seemed to like this vacuum. I bought and am glad I listened to everything else. This erases pet hair like its job - well I guess it kind of is its JOB.
It is very light and easy to push around. It is a little louder than our last vacuum, but the noise doesn't bother me too much because you still have to stop listening to the tv or whatever when someone is vacuuming.

I bought this vacuum in Feb of 2009 after reading all the great reviews on this site. I have a Chow/Collie mix and deal with a lot of fur constantly covering the carpet and furniture, and this vac seemed like the way to go. At first I loved it. It seemed powerful and got the job done (although the attachments are a joke). However, 10 months later, it started having problems with the brush not turning and the belt breaking really easily (hate that burning rubber smell!). Thank goodness it was still under warranty so I could get it all fixed at no charge, but the man at the repair shop said to NEVER go bagless if you have an animal with long fur. A few weeks ago I decided to give up on the Bissel for good and find a new vac, this time with a bag. After lots of comparison shopping, I ended up with the Eureka Pet Lover bagged pet vac. It was on sale at Best Buy and got outstanding reviews. Everyone said the suction was better than a Dyson and one reviewer even said she had never gotten a clog in it like she had in other vacuums! The only criticism was that the construction seemed to be a little cheap. I agree...some of the plastic parts seem a little flimsy, but it absolutely gets up EVERYTHING from the carpet. I'm just hoping the performance of my new Eureka can outlast the old Bissell!

First of all, I have NEVER written a review for any product, but I had a gift card and my vacuum had just given up, so I logged onto the website and this vacuum got such rave reviews, I decided to try it. I didn't believe the other reviews that said it looked like their carpets had just been cleaned, but my roommate has an adorable pug who sheds like crazy and I have two rugs that do the same. This vacuum was very easy to assemble (just three screws to put in) and it was very easy to manuever around my apartment. But let me tell you, my carpets looked even better than when I moved in and they were professionaly cleaned. In just vacuuming three rooms I already filled the canister. My roommate had spilled some wine three weeks ago and she poured salt on it to get it to pick it up (a good trick by the way!) and when I went over that spot, which I had done with my old vacuum at least three times before, it started pulling out salt that was stuck down deep! I am so happy I purchased this vacuum! It is well worth the money! Happy Cleaning!!!!

We had an old Electrolux that had seen better days, so we purchased a Dirt Devil as a replacement last year. We were disappointed in the noise level, the dust all over the outside of the machine, and the time it took to empty the canister. When our daughter broke it by placing the wet filter media back in the unit and turning it on, we were not upset. Finding ourselves needing a new vacuum and based on the other reviews, we decided that this Bissell might be a good bet. It certainly is a terrific machine. We have two cats in the house and this picks up everything off the floor. It is much more solidly built, less noisy, and easier to clean than the first bagless vacuum we purchased. This one looks to be a real keeper.

I have bought several vacuums over the years everything from cheap to paying over 1,000 dollars hoping that something would actually work to keep my home clean. After another vacuum died I went looking for a new one, after doing the research I found that this one is cheaper than the Dyson, which was what I wanted, and worked better.
Once I got it home I was amazed and grossed out how much pet hair and dirt came out of carpet in just the down stairs and the furniture. I love that the attachments still work and I have no problem getting it up and down stairs. It is a little louder than the other vacuums I have had in the past, however it cleans my carpets so I will live with the noise.
I love Best Buy, it has made shopping even that much more fun, with so many people who write reviews you know you are getting a great product and not some piece of junk that won't clean you carpets!

We bought it for $149, and if I had tried this on a trial basis, even if it were $1,200 I would have bought it. It is AMAZING: For the first time, I feel like my carpets are really clean. And for the first time, I am realizing how much less I settled for (and we had an Oreck). The attachments for upholstery really work on pet hair (and in the car!). I can’t compare it to the others for noise, but wouldn’t say it is quiet (who cares; it gets the carpets clean!!) and when you have the pet hair catcher down it acts like a lint brush (and then the vacuum sucks the hair off it) so you have to push firmly. (Again, well worth it to get the carpets so clean). Just as an aside, it went together easily and seems to be well made for the long haul. And for $149, even it isn’t, I’d buy another if this one fails.
Whoever designed this vacuum had pets, that is for sure! My thanks to Bissell!!!

I read earlier reviews before deciding to buy this and Im glad I did. This is the best vacuum ever! I recommend this vacuum to people even without pets. The suction is so powerful it picks up EVERYTHING. I have a Jack Russell and there is dog hair everywhere! On my first try with this vacuum, it sucked up an entire canister of dog hair I didnt see with my old vacuum. My dogs bed is full of dog hair I could never get up. I tried the old vacuum, a dog brush, and washing it. Nothing worked until this vacuum. The suction power is really that great on picking up dog hair. I am very impressed, it was worht every dollar. The only thing the vacuum is a little heavy, but most vacuums are anyway. I really dont have any cons, besides I cant wait for a combo pet eraser vacuum and shampoo-er!

I love this Vacuum, I went to use it for the first time and was suprised at first by the suction.. I didnt like that it wasent picking up much when I turned on the power button, however the button next to it I pressed and WOW let me tell you the power on the Vacuum was nuts! It sucked up the hair on not only the carpeting but the rugs as well, than I used it to clean my hardwood floors and it cleaned the corners and everything!!! Cleaning the stairs was a breeze to because the item detached from the base (on a side not the item that did detach was a bit okward and heavy) the turbo brush worked very well (but it did stop circulating at times due to it getting clogged) Overall this is a great vacuum and I am glad we bought this product.

I chose this vacuum because I saw all the positive reviews on this site. I am happy to report that I am not disappointed. I needed to get rid of my old Bissell Vacuum, but I needed a replacement first. I do not have any pets that run around, but the pet attachment brush adds value nevertheless. I vacuumed a portion of my living room on the low floor setting and the vac picked up a lot, and it picked up just as much when I put the lowered the pet brush.
This vacuum does an excellent job on my carpet floors, and is far more affordable than a Dyson--I have absolutely nothing against a Dyson except that I cannot currently afford one. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone including you!

I purchased this unit originally in May of 2008 and initially it worked wonderfully. It had great suction and picked up pet hair like a dream, with 2 great danes that is a must. Some of the reviews I read about it said it was too heavy but I did't find that to be true and I have to carry it up and down 4 flights of stairs. After about 2 months of weekly use I noticed that the brush didn't seem to be working. After further inspection I realized that the height adjustment piece had broken and wasn't holding the brush high enough off of the carpet to allow it to spin. The piece is a simple graduated cork-screw which, theoretically, should work but it is hollow and has a press seam in it and it just snapped off half of the piece at the seam. It's not like I was tough on it I just used it. At this point I returned to Best Buy and exchanged it for the exact same one only to have the exact same thing happen to the second one about 2 months later. At this point I exchanged it for a Hoover windtunnel that was priced a little higher. I didn't initially purchase the Hoover because it is a little heavier, the cord is consideribly shorter, and it was more expensive. Overall I liked this vacuum (the Bissell) but apparently it is not designed for regular use. So my suggestion is you could buy this unit if you either don't vacuum very often or if you don't have taller carpet (frize or even a taller plush) that requires the brush to be lifted very high, otherwise I would suggest against it.

I have three dogs and this vacuum works great! I have central vac, and wanted something i could quickly use without having to take out the giant hose of the central vac. I tried it on a room that was just vacuumed with my central vac, and it got a third of a canister of stuff the other didn't! I was amazed! Try to empty the canister often; it's easier and less messy if it's not full. The unit's a little heavy to carry from the 1st floor to the 2nd, but the job it does will make you not mind that at all! I still can't believe that it does such a great job for such an inexpensive vacuum! You will not be disappointed!

When my previous Eureka went belly up after only 6 months, I decided I would be more particular about my next vacuum. I have a friend who owns a Dyson and I borrowed theirs. It worked well but I just could not justify spending that kind of money on a vacuum cleaner. I read the good reviews on Best Buy's website about the Bissell and decided to go with that one. Wow! It pulled more dirt and hair than the Dyson did. I have been very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone. I have three kids and a collie dog and it cleans behind them great. I will be a loyal Bissell user from now on!

FINALLY and THANK GOODNESS!! I am breathing a HUGE sigh of relief after purchasing this vacuum. We are the proud parents of a gorgeous--but extremely furry-- golden retriever. I went through two or three cheap vacuums (they just couldn't keep up with the dog hair) before I finally bought an Oreck based on a recommendation from another golden-owner. I can't believe they charge $350 for one of those things! It just NEVER did the job right. It didn't even have a pile-height adjuster! I absolutely HATED vacuuming and had to turn the Oreck over every few minutes to cut all the hair out of the brush (not to mention how many times I had to replace the belt and brush because it melted under the strain). I hemmed and hawed over purchasing a new vacuum but felt I couldn't justify spending the money--I supposedly had the best vacuum on the market so surely, no other vacuum would work and I would forever battle dog hair. I started researching vacuums this fall and this one really caught my eye but I was worried about the price being representative of performance. I waited and waited, reading all the new reviews as they were posted onto this site (and others). Finally, I took my tax return and purchased the vacuum. Even as I paid for my purchase and left the store, I was still worried it was too good to be true (just like my Oreck).
I CANNOT recommend this vacuum enough. It's incredible how much dirt and dog hair it sucks up! I can't believe how much dirt and fur the Oreck was leaving behind. My husband put it together and then followed me around in awe while I vacuumed. We were both absolutely AMAZED. I think this vacuum picked up more dirt and fur in it's first use than the Oreck did over the four years I suffered with it. My husband's favorite part was that it revived the carpet and you could actually see that I had vacuumed. Our bedroom, which has extremely low-pile carpet, bested the Oreck every time, so much so that I just plain stopped vacuuming in there. This vacuum picked up every trace of dog hair! It's also very easy to clean the vacuum itself--which I needed to do after it's first use picking up everything the Oreck left behind. I wish I had taken pictures of the before-and-afters, and all the debris that ended up in the garbage can! Is it possible to love a vacuum too much?
I went ahead and purchased the $20 4-year performance plan through Best Buy, just in case it IS too good to be true. But even if it is, the few times I've used it have been worth it! We talk about getting another dog, but everytime I vacuumed, I wondered if I could deal with it. Now, it's safe to say we will be adding another canine member to our family very soon!
As for the Oreck? It's going in the garage sale this spring!

I don't know how I lived without this vacuum. The only draw back is that it has to be empty often especially when you first use it. I have 2 light colored dogs with all off white carpet and I didn't realizw how much of their hair I didn't see! I vacuum every day and when I first used this vacuum I could not believe how much hair my old vacuum was missing, it was disgusting but very quickly the amount of hair was reduced. Also, my carpets look brighter because they're cleaner! I highly recommend this vacuum because you'll be surprised at how much pet hair you're missing.

Used this for the first time today and was really impressed with what it picked up. Why? Because I had just swept the day before with my old bag vacuum. I had no idea it wasn't getting all the pet hair up, but with this bagless one, I can see that it definitely wasn't doing its job. The TurboBrush attachment was excellent for the couch, chairs and even the pillows. It's nothing fancy, just rubber bristles and suction, but man, did it get everything. I was even able to sweep my comforter! I've never been able to get that pet-hair-free without washing. I'm definitely pleased with this purchase. I also bought a pack of replacement filters and belts so I'm never stuck needing them in the future.

I considered buying the Dyson animal vac because I have 3 dogs. Well, I couldn't justify spending $500+ for a vacuum so I read the other reviews on this vac and decided to give it a try. I'm not disappointed. It's got really good suction and I used the turbo brush on my dog hair covered steps and it made it a breeze to clean. It also was easy to assemble. 2 screws to attach the handle and 1 to attach the top cord holder. Attach the hose and insert the attachments into their storage spots and your done. Simple. Anyhoo-that's all. Ta Ta!

I bought this vacuum based on the reviews of this site, and I am so glad I did! When I got there, they were out of stock! Luckily, their truck just arrived with a brand new shipment.
I tried the Healthy Home vacuum in the store and it didn't suck up anything! Then I tried the pet hair eraser model on Best Buy's rug and it made it look brand new!
I assembled it myself and read the instructions within an hour. Then I used it and also had to empty the container after finishing with just one room because there was so much hair our 8 year old (now dead) hoover vacuum didn't suck up. I'm not fond of bagless vacuum's however. I do not want to deal with the dirt after it's been sucked up. Everything seems to be bagless these days and this vacuum's bagless container and emptying is not too bad. If it causes a mess, I just vacuum it up. I also find that I have to vacuum the vacuum afterwards because of all the hair/dirt we had.
The tools are awesome! The turbo tool is a little tough popping it out, but I used it on my couch and my couch is admittedly a different color! (as in the pet hair is gone)
The other flexible/rubber type tool is great for curtains, stairs and those in between crevices on my chair cushion button holes (where cat hair collects).
The best part was we got this vacuum for it's advertised price at the time (around $150) and then we bought the one year warranty for an extra $20 and it still was less expensive than the other models.
I don't really do reviews, but I had to come on here and thank others for their reviews so that I could do my homework before going out and buying one.

This is an incredible buy. I can't believe that anyone did not think about this before. We have 2 beagles and they shed quite a bit all over our black couches and leave white hairs all over. I would spend 30-40 min trying to get the hair off the couch with no luck. This vacuum cleaner is definately worth the money, and the attachments are worth their weight in gold. The little vacuum brush works well, but the pet contour attachment works wonders on our micro fiber couch. If you need a solid reliable vacuum, this is the one for you.

My wife and I needed a new vacuum after our old one smelled of burning plastic. After doing some research and reading reviews we picked this one. We have very shallow "hard" carpets and they look fairly clean. We put the vacuum together and gave it a test run. Honestly, we were shocked at how much dirt and filth was in the window. I actually remarked "wow..i wonder if they put dirt in there just to make it look like it really works?"
We use it once a week and it does an amazing job of cleaning. GREAT purchase!
