WOW! What a vacuum!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought the vacuum after comparing the Dyson yellow & animal versions. For less than half the price I did really well. I first emptied the container and then vacuumed my floor with my dirt devil bagless. Then I assembled my new vac. with the three screws, it took a whole 5 minutes. I then vacuumed the same floors I had just vacuumed. The amount of sand and cat hair that it picked up amazed me. I thought the carpet was clean since I had just vacuumed it, I knew my other one sucked, but didn't realize how much until I tested it. I still am interested to see if the Dyson is better, but short of having my friend bring her's over, I don't think I will find out. I am so happy with the Bissel! The only negative point is how the bucket is emptied. I do not like the dirt left in the top filter when you remove the cup. The dirt falls down onto the base if it is bumped and needs to be cleaned of with something else since the vac hose connects to the dirt cup. Over all, a great vac and the dirt left is small compared to what it picks up. BUY IT, YOU WON"T BE SORRY!

Wow I like it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought the Bissell pet hair eraser vacuum today. Easy assembly but the cord is in a poor location I ran the cord behind and over the lower cord winder bracket. It cleans like the dickens so far, day one. Better empty it outside or you will vacuum up the mess that spills, minor inconvenience to me I empty the cannister in the garage next to my shop vac. . I will post any other negatives if they arise.

Great Suction!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've switched back and forth through the years between canister and upright vacuum cleaners. My last vacuum was an Electrolux canister that I paid almost $400 for a couple of years ago. It was lightweight, but left behind that pesky pet hair. Not until I got the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser did I realize that more than just pet hair was left behind! This bad boy really has great suction!!! The attachements are great and I love the bagless feature. My only complaint is that it is heavy. I manage--just take breaks in between rooms. It's worth it!

Impressive!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very impressive vacuum. On the first use, I was startled (and a little disturbed) by the amount of filth it sucked out of my supposedly-clean rugs. I have three cats, and the pet-hair attachments really do what they're supposed to. The design is good and the attachments are easy to get at and use. The dirt container is much easier to empty and clean than the one on my old vacuum... of course there's still a fair amount of dust involved in the process but nothing like having a filter that needed to be tapped clean each time! Assembling the vacuum was pretty simple, there is one tricky screw in there but nothing I couldn't handle... although it would've been MUCH harder without a magnetic screwdriver. Only downside is the weight; it's over 20lb and not easy to lift. I have a very small house so this isn't an issue for me, but could be for an elderly person or anyone who has to haul it up and down stairs. The weight is not an issue when pushing it... while it's not self-propelled, the motorized brush roll gives it a very noticeable assist. I didn't give five stars across the board because the turbo-brush seems to have stopped working. It still picks up but the brush roll doesn't turn. However I think there may just be some string wrapped around something so I will withhold judgment until I have a chance to take it apart and investigate. Overall I am very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone who has pets that shed!

solid purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great vacuum for the price. There are so many vacuums out there that reach $400-$600 and all they probably give you is more power. This vacuum is an everyday great vacuum. The bagless system is great and it does a good job with hair off the floor. Upholstery and carpet is a little different. THis is where the vacuum can use more power. It picks up the basic hair but you have to work on the hair that is rooted in your carpet or furniture. I use to have a Dyson which I loved, but it got ruined in a storm so I bought this vacuum. Great purchase for the price.

Best vaccum I've ever seen!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had read all of the positive and negative rewiews of this vacuum before deciding to give it a try. It showed up in 5 days which I was VERY happy about. It was very easy to assemble once I looked at the pictures . I had some freinds over for dinner that night before my vacuum arrived, and since my old vacuum had gone to the big closet in the sky; I borrowed a friends. I thought that her vacuum had done a really good job once I had finished; or so I thought. I did a quick sweep of my living room and was shocked at how much her vacuum had missed! And she just purchased hers too! Since it was 10:30 at night I didn't go crazy last night, but I did this morning. I live on post on a military base so the carpets here aren't high end berber by any means. And I have no clue how old it is. But this vacuum has made my carpet look SO NICE! It's lifted the pile in areas that were pretty much flat. With my old vacuum; I broke out into a sweat trying to get all the junk off of my stairs, not with this one! The rotating brush attachment rotates the ENTIRE time your using it! On my old vacuum, the brush would stop the second you touched it to any upholstery. And the hose reached all the way up my 11 stairs which made me very happy. With my old my old one I had to bring it to my landing and hope it didn't fall on my head. In some of the negative reviews; they complained that the vacuum spewed dust everywhere. I haven't had that problem whatsoever. And I've had a TON of dust come out of my carpet. My only explination for that it that it could be a genuine malfunction; or they didn't assemble it properly. It's not very loud, not very heavy, and all of the attachments work wonderfully and are not flimsy my any means. To me the vacuum should have this warning on the box: WARNING: This vacuum may make you question your cleaning abilities! You will be shocked at how much dirt and pet hair you will pick up the first time you use this machine. Be assured that it is not you, our valued customer, that is the problem. It is your previous vacuum that has failed to live up to your high standards! In conclusion, I am extremly satisfied with my new vacuum cleaner. It works beautifully and does an amazing job! I would highly reccomend this vacuum to anyone who is looking for a new one.

Pet hair coming out of the woodwork!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this vacuum based on the reviews of this site, and I am so glad I did! When I got there, they were out of stock! Luckily, their truck just arrived with a brand new shipment. I tried the Healthy Home vacuum in the store and it didn't suck up anything! Then I tried the pet hair eraser model on Best Buy's rug and it made it look brand new! I assembled it myself and read the instructions within an hour. Then I used it and also had to empty the container after finishing with just one room because there was so much hair our 8 year old (now dead) hoover vacuum didn't suck up. I'm not fond of bagless vacuum's however. I do not want to deal with the dirt after it's been sucked up. Everything seems to be bagless these days and this vacuum's bagless container and emptying is not too bad. If it causes a mess, I just vacuum it up. I also find that I have to vacuum the vacuum afterwards because of all the hair/dirt we had. The tools are awesome! The turbo tool is a little tough popping it out, but I used it on my couch and my couch is admittedly a different color! (as in the pet hair is gone) The other flexible/rubber type tool is great for curtains, stairs and those in between crevices on my chair cushion button holes (where cat hair collects). The best part was we got this vacuum for it's advertised price at the time (around $150) and then we bought the one year warranty for an extra $20 and it still was less expensive than the other models. I don't really do reviews, but I had to come on here and thank others for their reviews so that I could do my homework before going out and buying one.

Fantastic and has Super Long hose for Stairs!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was very pleased with this product. It sucked up a whole bunch of stuff even after I had just cleaned my carpets. The hose is very long so I don't have to keep carrying up the stairs. However, when using the brush with the hose attachment the pet hair gets stuck and the machine keeps showing green/ black meaning partial clog. I don't like that you have to unscrew the brush to de-clog and it gets clogged from pet hair with every use . Over all I am very happy with this vacuum. It picks up everything and then some!
