    Awesome Vacuum!!

My parents bought me this vacuum for Christmas, and I love it!! I have two cats, and they shed like crazy, so this vacuum is awesome for me. It moves forward on its own when you turn it on, it has so much power. The different setting for bare floor, pet hair, and differents lengths of carpet is a great feature, and the turbo brush is awesome for upholstry. The power cord is so long I can do almost my whole apartment without having to unplug it. I'll agree w/ some reviewers that its heavy, but for someone like me in a one level apartment, its great! The only thing that could be improved is the fact that when you are using the suction hose/attachments, the floor brush doesn't stop rolling, so it rolls on the same part of the floor where ever it is standing over and over. However, the vacuum overall is so great, that it doesn't even matter. Def buy this if you have pets, you won't regret it!!!!!!!!

Other then the broken handle, the vac is very good. We have 2 Great Pyrenees both are over 100lbs with log white hair, plus a chihuahua, and a yorkie/something mix. The vac picks up hair and dirt with ease, and empties very easy. The long cord is a plus 35' very nice, central plug can make vacuming a 1 plug job.

After months of begging for a new vacuum, my husband agreed to purchase this one. How could so many great reviews be wrong? Well, they weren't. We are so excited about the Pet Hair Eraser. We have one dog, that seems to shed enough for 5, and a baby on the way. I really wanted clean floors. We tried it right after putting it together. I was amazed.......I had vacuumed just the day before, and we had to empty the canister after doing just a small portion of the room. Like I said, the canister is a little small, and you have to empty it often.....but it seems worth it to me, because you're getting so much out of the carpet. I also think it works great on our hardwood floors. It's the first time I really feel like I'm getting the carpet and floors clean. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum to anyone who has a pet, plus you can't beat the price!

    Terrific Vacuum

This replaces my former vacuum, which simply could not handle my shedding of my three cats and one dog. It's amazing what this sucks up that my other unit missed. I wish it were a bit lighter, but then it probably wouldn't be as effective.

This machine is great. After my old vacuum died, I purchased a canister...hated it. So I did a lot of research and narrowed it down to this and a Dyson. I like the idea of a Dyson, but tooooo much money right now. It cleans the dog hair wonderfully. I'm very happy with it so far.

Ok Vacuum to start but Eureka Pet Vacuum is better

I bought this about 6 months ago. Initially the vacuum suction was good. It wasnt great, but would do the trick. I could never use the pet attachment, it just didnt have enough suction to do anything on furniture, pet bed or the carpet. I have berber so its harder for a vacuum or attachments to work better on it. The bagless portion is bad, but I imagine that portion would be difficult with any bagless so not neccesarily just with this vacuum. I have since gone back to bags because all the pet dander and dust would come spitting up at me as I try to maneuver the canister in to the trash. Then hair would get stuck up around the filter so I had to reach in and try and get that all out, by the time Im done trying to empty the canister, you would have dust and dirt all over the vacuum. The pet attachments seemed like a joke to me. It didnt work. Theres not enough suction for it to work. So I tried to use it on stairs and furniture but it did just a marginal job. After a couple months the carpet started spitting dog hair back out at me on the floor. I noticed the floor brush spinning part would stop spinning on its own and only spin if I moved the vacuum. Tried fixing this but it just got worse and worse, even after completely taking apart the vacuum parts of the brush and cleaning everything. I ended up tossing it away after buying the Eureka Boss Pet Lover Vacuum and the suction is just way more than this one, and the pet brush on that Eureka Boss is the first one Ive ever seen that actually is its own roller, thats how much suction that vacuum cleaner has. For the exact same price as this one, I would pick that one any day over this one.

    I like Bissell but ...

First off the suction was awesome in the beginning (picked up everything) Then the suction became less and less, then the belt broke after 8 months. Now i've almost had this vacuum for 2 years and I have had to replace the belt twice now its started to spit dog hair back onto the carpet from the back of the vacuum (no, its not clogged, I checked). I'm now looking into getting a new vacuum and I did my research, i'm gonna try Bissell again with their Healthy Home vacuum. It has a 5 year warrenty and a lifetime belt.

I read the reviews for this vacuum and was very impressed with them, but not more than when I actually tried it. We have a cat and we bought our home from another cat-owner. Before we moved our furniture into the house we had all the carpet professionally cleaned. I have to say that even after that professional cleaning job, our carpet NEVER looked as good as it does now! The first time I used it, I had only vacuumed half of my living room and the canister was over half-full! I can only imagine that this vacuum is also picking up what the previous owner's cat left behind. The house even smells fresher now. This vacuum is extremely powerful, and I can't imagine why anyone who has pets WOULDN'T invest in this.

Love it, so much better than the dirt devil we replaced with it! Wish the canister was bigger but with how well it works compared to our previous vacuum, I can deal with a few eatra trips to dump the German Shepard & Labrador hair in the garbage.

    This Vacuum Really Sucks!

I bought this vacuum because I was sick of cleaning my roomate's hair out of the bristles on my green Eureka, and so far I haven't had to clean any hair out of these bristles! The first time I used this vacuum I had vacuumed earlier that day with my old vac, and I still got a full canister of dirt, pet hair, and carpet fuzz. The suction is AMAZING! And this doesn't seem to loose suction at all. In fact, the suction is so amazing that it sucks up my area rugs, and has even eaten some kleenex that was about a foot away. Over all I love this vac. Perhaps I'll purchase one for my mom! P.S. If you're looking for a steam cleaner as well, check out the ones from Bissell! I own one of those, and I LOVE it!

This is a great vacuum for the price. There are so many vacuums out there that reach $400-$600 and all they probably give you is more power. This vacuum is an everyday great vacuum. The bagless system is great and it does a good job with hair off the floor. Upholstery and carpet is a little different. THis is where the vacuum can use more power. It picks up the basic hair but you have to work on the hair that is rooted in your carpet or furniture. I use to have a Dyson which I loved, but it got ruined in a storm so I bought this vacuum. Great purchase for the price.

I have 2 dogs who shed heavily. I was using an older, expensive ($1,500) vacuum until it broke. I was looking at one of those $500 vacuums, but couldn't justify paying that much for one. After a lot of research, I chose this one. Now $160 plus a 4-year warranty and 3 assembly screws later, I am tickled pink. I was disgustingly amazed to see just how much embedded dirt and fir my old machine had left behind. I vacuumed the room several times and still it continued to pull out grime. My ancient carpet (soon to be replaced) looks like it just got cleaned and my house doesn't smell nearly as dusty. I've had this vacuum for 3 days now and I couldn't be happier.

I have a long haired Sheppard and every vacuum I'd tried had not been able to sufficiently get the hair off the carpet in my apartment. I bought the Pet Hair Eraser today. I couldn't believe the amount of dog hair, dirt, and everything else that the vacuum picked up. For the first time in months my carpet is free of pet hair. I can actually sit down on the floor and not be covered in dog hair when I stand up. The Pet Hair Eraser has plenty of accessories which seemed to work well. The Pet Hair Lifter which helps lift the hair off the carpet before it is sucked in made all the difference. I would recommend this vacuum to any pet owner on a budget

Like many other reviewers, I was considering a Dyson, but the pricetag made me cringe. The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser vacuum cleaner did a spectacular job on my carpet--and for much less than a Dyson. I got up four canisters of crud out of my carpet (which made me cringe again, because I do occasionally sit on the floor!), including enough cat hair to make two more cats and TONS of litter granules the cats had tracked all over the house. It's a little gross emptying the canister, but would be less so if I didn't let it get past the "full" mark, LOL. I'm totally sold on this vacuum and have already recommended it to my sister, another cat owner.

The only thing that would make this Bad boy better is if they gave it away .......I got a new puppie on saturday so I used my old vac to do a major vacuuming under every thing, a better than your normal vacuuming then it konked out......so on monday I got the NEW "BISSEL" vacuumed again......What a difference.....I mean this thing picked up what looked like micro dust and hair that the old one just didnt. I think the dirt cup on it is easy to use .....I would recommend tapping on the cannister before opening it....just to knock all the dust down into the cup......

On sale for $20 off. I used the $20 savings to buy a 4-year "Black Tie" warranty. Even if the motor or beater bar go out I'm covered. I spent $500 on my last vacuum and it lasted over five years. I don't expect this one to last that long but it's nice to know I'm covered for 4 years for way less than $200. With 5 teenagers, a Great Dane and an English Bulldog we are tough on our surroundings. Suction is great and is getting a lot of stuff our old unit missed. Canister lasts about 2 rooms before it has to be emptied. So far very impressive.

    Best Vacuum I have owned

I purchased this vacuum last night at Best Buy in M.View. I decided on this model because I didn't want to spend 600.00 on a Dyson and the reviews for this vacuum seemed positive. The reviews were accurate. This machine is wonderful. The first time I used it, I pulled out five full canisters of dirt from one room in my home (gross-I've been living with this junk for a while). I would recommend this vacuum highly for anyone who want a clean carpet-just get ready to be shocked at the volume of dirt you thought your previous vacuum was picking up.

    Not the best design

We purchased this vac as a second unit while our other unit was in the shop (after 5 years of no trouble). We have three dogs and three cats and vacuum about 3-4 times a week so the vac gets a good workout. Initially we were pleased with this unit's peformance but several design issues came up. - The cord is located very low on the machine so you step on it or run over it often. The cord has actually worn in several places from being run over and we've only had it a month. We've never had that issue with any other vac we've owned. - The dust container is small and does not handle much volume so you empty it often. Dust tends to stick really bad to the plastic material of the container. Pet hair collected tends to hang up in the space above the dust collection cup and it is a pain to clean out unless you have really small hands. - Cleaning the dirt out of the vac invariably spills dust when opening it up no matter how careful you are. Nothing like having to use another vac to clean this one. My recommendation: purchase a higher end unit. Our older vac is a higher end bagless and it works great. The better designs are worth it.
