I bought this vaccuum b/c i needed something that would specialize in getting pet hair out of my carpet and off my upholstery. unfortunately, i was disappointed that the pet hair removing "features" just moved the hair around rather than picking it up. it picks up most of the hair off the carpet just fine, but you don't need the tools to do it. overall, i would not recomment this vaccuum for pet hair removal.

I bought this vaccum cleaner on what these reviews had to say. They were all right. I have 3 cats and they shed hair on a regular basis. I used to get frustrated trying to get every hair out of the rug and carpet because it would take a long time to do so. Now, with this product, it takes at least 3 minutes to do depending on size of the rug or carpet. It's also easy to dispose of. I just remove the canister and empty it out and place it back in. That's it. It's so easy to use and clean. I am very happy with this one. The price is right for the product!

I am a vacuum person. My wife and I own 6 different vacuums. This one was the least expensive, and possibly the best. I kept reading the reviews and finally decided to see for myself. We have two dogs that shed a lot. It is nice to have a vacuum that is powerful enough to lift up all of the hair and any dust or dander in the carpet. The power brush is amazing. Our furniture looks like new. Also, the soft contour brush has many uses....Try brushing your dog with it. Our labrador loves it. Why spend $500.00 when you only need to spend $149.00.

I bought this about an hour ago. I decided to vacuum my 1 year old daughters room first. I am a complete neat freak when it comes to keeping my daughters room clean. I vacuumed her room just yesterday with my other vacuum, and after I finished today, I already need to empty out the canister. This product is amazing. I cant wait to see what the other rooms in my house are going to look like when I am done. I'm not one for going out and buying something because of the ratings people give it, but I am sure glad I decided to this time!!

I purchased the Bissell Pet Hair Vacuum two months ago and it is the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever purchased. I read the previous reviews on this vacuum cleaner before I purchased it and I was somewhat skeptical regarding the vacuum's ability to pick up most of the pet hair from a carpet. However, I am pleased to report that the pet hair removal attachment on this vacuum performs very well. The vacuum cleaner continues to perform great and I would definately recommend this model to anyone who owns a pet.

I purchased this vacuum back in July of this year to deal with a pet hair problem in my home (2 dogs & the old vacuum was barely getting the hair off the carpets). After a little assembly it was off & running. I was impressed at first by the amount of stuff it pulled out of the rugs, but that was short lived. Within 2 months we saw a loss of suction & rotation in the brushes. I have cleaned the filters, cleaned the brushes & I dump the canister repeatedly during cleaning. Still, the motor has already burnt out. The brush only rotates if it's not in contact with the floor. I'm so disappointed in this vacuum. I know things just aren't built like they used to be, but I WILL NOT buy another Bissell after this. For the cost I paid, I shouldn't be shopping for another vacuum 6 months later!!!! Needless to say, I'm biting the bullet and buying the Dyson

just bought this vacuum today and all seemed to be going great, but then i used the attachments to clean the sofa. dirt flew all over the place. i consulted the manual for trouble shooting, and even called bissell to find a solution. here's the thing, when you detach the primary hose from the base hose and put on an accessory, the bottom brushes still spin and suck up dirt- but because you've detached the hose to use the accessories, there is no where for the dirt to go that is being sucked up from the bottom except right back out the uncovered, leading-to-nothing hose. very very frustrating. bissell offers no solution to this problem except, "please keep vacuum placed on a clean surface, so it doesn't blow out dust." i understand their point, but i am not happy with the design, or that blowing out dirt is even ever an option. i finished cleaning by laying the vacuum on its side - this also fixes the problem, but is not recommended - and returned the vacuum the same night. see if there's better luck with the eureka.

I was getting frustrated in my search for a piece of cleaning equipment that would really remove animal hair (two long hair cats, and a dog were taking over every room of the house) When I went online and read about the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser I decided to get one immediately and try it -- and am I ever pleased with the results. It's actually been fun to use this machine and be able to remove and see what the old Oreck has been leaving behind. If you have pets, this machine is a must.

After reading all the reviews I decided to buy this monstrosity. I have a hairy dog which tends to shed allot. Add two kids into the mix and a husband who loves having the neighborhood kids inside to play I thought it would be ideal. Well as long as all you have to pick up is dog hair then the vacuum works well, just don’t add anything else to the mix. I mean nothing else - nothing larger than a speck will be picked up that includes paper, crumbs or even those little candies that kids love to much ( Nerds) NOTHING else will pick up. I am happy to report that after 6 months of trying to move this heavy thing around my house it is now Brocken . If you want to keep your back and invest in something that actually works DO NOT BUY THIS HORRIBLE Vacuum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased three days ago and already disappointed for these reasons: 1. Hot exhaust blows horizontally toward user in upright or hand-held mode; uncomfortable but bearable in upright mode. 2. Tightly-coiled and too-short 'slinky' hose means canister must be held when in use, which puts hot exhaust and noisy motor much too close to user. 3. Suction power inferior to previous Bissell models despite powerful 12-amp motor. On the PRO side: I do like the contour and edge cleaning tools, which enable thorough cleaning of out-of-the-way places. Living in farm country, dust and pollen seep into every conceivable corner during planting and harvest seasons; the HEPA filter is a welcome addition to my cleaning efforts. The extra-long cord save my time and energy since I can vacuum a larger area before moving to a different electrical outlet. Despite those positive features, I will be returning the vacuum to Best Buy tomorrow. The negative features outweigh any convenience.

This product is great. We have had the vacuum for about 3 months and it still picks up tons of pet hair. The vacuum is very heavy but it is worth it.

I first bought a Hoover in the same price range, but that thing would heat up within 5 mins of use and I would have to let it cool for 15 mins before using it again, which obviously was very annoying, so I returned it and bought this Bissel. I love it so far. The instructions for assembly were not that great, (lack of pictures) but nothing too complicated. It cleans really well. Im very satisfied with its performance for the price.

Great vacuum. No need to spend $300-400 for a vacuum to get rid of pet hair. I have two indoor cats and it does a great job. The only problem I had is the accesory spinning brush attatchment is a bit harsh. My couch is a little delicate and while vacuuming it the brush started to fray the edges a bit. No big deal but worth mentioning. Its kind of fun to empty the container after each use to see just how much junk gets vacuumed up.

Easy to use, moves smooth. Canister is easy to remove and insert. Attachments are a great help.

Good product but develops a stench if isn't emptied after each use. Great for picking up long hair, dog hair, cat hair.

This vaccum is a piece of junk. We had gotten it when our dirt devil conked out. When we took it out of the box it worked amazingly. 6 months later it cloggetd up. I would clean all the filters and it wouldn't work. It kept doing this for 6 month. Now the wires are exposed and its going to the dump. That 149 dollars could have been saved by bying the dyson. Overall Its a piece of junk.

I ordered this vacuum online and couldn't wait to get it. I read all the reviews from other people but I was a little skeptical. When I got it I put it together right away. This is the most amazing vacuum I have ever had. It got up all the cat hair right away. My best friend has a dyson and this has to be just as good if not better. I would definatly recommend this to everyone.

This product is amazing! We just moved into our new apartment and the carpets were vacuumed and steam cleaned. When I brought this vacuum home and went over everything that was previously cleaned, the canister filled up with dirt immediately! It is very easy to assemble and it picks up pet hair like nobody's business! I recommend to all- if you don't buy this, you're silly!

My husband and I purchased this vacuum about three months ago now and couldn't be happier. I thought thay my carpets were clean...until I used the Bissell! We have three cats who seem to shed constantly, and this vacuum really picks up the hair and dander. Even friends who are allergic to cats can breath easily! The extra long hose is great for cleaning the stairs too.

I was adamant about buying this vacuum until I read some reviews on this site. Now I’m glad that I did. Once I bought the Bissell I instantly wanted to take it for a test spin. I was amazed on how well it did with picking up pet hair. This is a great vacuum for the price and I know that I’ll be having a great time using this machine. Great buy for people with pets.
