Johnny depp is one of the best in Hollywood period

I had waited for this to be released forever, and now I am glad I waited, the performance by Dep is great and they did a well done potrayal of this gangster gone rogue, very graphic but it is to the point of what Bulger was about.

I felt like Best Buy gave me the best price they could for this movie. The director just didn't fully deliver the way this movie shouldv'e played our. Still somewhat of a good deal. Different strokes different folks you know.

So I was expecting more. This movie was good but I guess I was expecting a little more? I don't know it was good but I was expecting goodfellas and got We Own the Night. So it's not terrible but it's not goodfellas.

When I sit down to watch a movie I don't want to try to follow a crazy train that keeps jumping around. The story was a true story which makes it interesting to watch, I just wish it was easier to follow.

I'm a big fan of mob movies so I was anxious to see this one when it came out. I thought it was interesting, but by the time it was over, I can't say I thought it was a very good movie.

Decent movie with a loaded cast, I was hoping for slightly better but this was neat

Expectations were high, if lowered than good is the overall rating. Story was choppy, incomplete and wandered at times so you have to fill in the blanks. Reasonable performances.

I love the true story, but found the movie hard to watch. Johnny Depp did a good job with his character, but he didn't transition as character develops later in life.

If not for Johnny Depp, I would not have liked this movie much at all. Depp was fun to watch, but the story was plodding, and too much like an old crime movie, not much new.

I found it to be slow moving at times and the story kinda seems to get jumbled around when watching but Johnny Depp's performance alone is worth giving this movie a try

Not quite what I expected from the movie however it was still good. Really enjoyed the extra features and the mini documentary about the real man from the movie.

Wasn't what I expected. The only good thing about this movie was the make up job they did on Johnny Depp was fantastic. Perfect likeness of GOOD OLD WHITEY.

Coming from the Boston area, its interesting to learn about the history of the Winter Hill Gang. Good storytelling, could have been a bit better overall.

Johnny Depp is a great actor, but I didn't find him believable in this role. A bunch of fat short geezers killing people does not impose Shock n Awe
