I was skeptical at first but I saw it on the shelf and said why not? It paid off within the first 45 mins. I was sucked right in the story was good, the acting was good all around a pretty solid movie.

Johnny Depp is genuinely creepy as Whitey Bulger, and puts in an unforgettable performance in this film. There is a stelar supporting cast and the blu-ray has a lot of great extras. Highly recommended

This was an interesting movie. It shows the ties between a murder in Tulsa and gambling in Florida

They did a pretty good job of transforming Johnny Depp. They do a great job of showing just how corrupt the system can be and how easily some can be coerced into helping out some lowlife criminals.

Black Mass is a stunning movie about the man behind South Boston's crime scene in the 80's. A truthful look into a sociopath's mind and how he controlled those around him, yet still loved by many.

I heard all of the talk about how good this movie was and it all proved to be true. The acting of everyone in the movie was amazing but Depp's portrayal of Bulger was incredible. Definitely a must have!

Johnny Depp, as usual does a good job of getting into the role of his character. Very convincing Boston mob figure. Really enjoy these movies that are based on true life figures. It's a good watch.

Excellent movie and performances all around. Johnny Depp knocks it out and supporting cast does as well. Not convincing enough to dethrone Goodfellas or The Departed, but a must watch for the mob genre.

This film portrays the depravity of the Irish Mafia in Boston and the corruption in the FBI that allowed Whitey Bulger and his gang of thugs to prosper. Good job by Johnnie Depp in portraying Bulger.

For all those people that don't know about some mafia history, is very informative and good script. The actors play good performances. Movie played good in my HD player. Good to watch it.

This is a long over due role worthy of Johnny Depp's acting ability . Really a great movie .I went to see this movie at the theater and liked it so much I bought the DVD when it was first released .

Great story about a Boston Gangster. Jesse Plemons stole he show with his acting and facial expressions. Who ever would have know he'd be one of the best to come out of Friday Night Lights.

Blu-ray quality is excellent. Very clear picture and sound was excellent. Bought this as a gift for my husband. The movie is great and met my husband's expectations. Johnny Depp excels once again!

Depp is brilliant as Whitey and the supporting cast make him even better. Great movie all the way around; plus don't miss the extra features with actual law enforcement and interviews on the story.

This movie is slow but outstanding! Definitely would say it's one of Depp's best movies especially of late. Great movie for a great price definitely recommend it if you like crime movies or Depp.

You forget your looking at Johnny Depp. Most of his roles you remember it's him. Not this one. He plays his character fantastically. Better job than in "Public Enemy " which is a good movie.

Bought this as a gift, when we opened it to watch it we found out is was two discs, one DVD and the other blue-ray. Not sure if this was I tended but now we have two copies. Awesome!
